what does it take to be forgiven....in your eyes of course........this does not necessarily pertain to religion in all honesty i don't give a crap about religion. but how do you go about being forgiven

forgiveness is in the eyes of the beholder - which i know sounds like a load of crap coming from me but still- i dont really know how to tell you to be forgiven i guess its a gradual process for some kids or it could be really fast it just depends on who and what you want forgiven from - load a crap i know - thats about the best i can say

usally all the person has to do is ask but if the person is just using you to gain somthing i dont tihnk i owuld forgive them because you could never tell if they are using you or not

It depends entirely on what you seek forgiveness on, the context can change it all entirely. For example the way you would seek forgiveness for commiting something like murder would be entirely different than the way you would search for forgiveness for taking a cookie. See what I mean?

I personally go by this motto: Forgive, but never forget. Don't hold grudges, but learn from the burn if that makes sense?

There are no rules on what it takes to forgive or be forgiven.

Thats beautiful CTR. I usually got by "Shit is shit no matter what you decorate it with." Dont know why i go with that motto though.

Anyway for me to forgive someone has to do what they did. Mostly i can forgive anyone for almost anything. Some people sort of strech that to far. I am normally a really nice person that if you need help i cannot say no. So when i get stabbed in the back like a certain family memeber did to me i just cannot forgive them for it.

Now what i do to be forgiven is put on a sad face and say sorry. The way i go about it may change from person to person but it tends to always have the same end result.

Well. . . I don't know about you guies, but I would forgive someone who gives me a meaningful apology!

But, I'm most likely to forgive someone, because I do not want to hate them (and I don't want them hating me).

I don't know if I should be posting in a post like this.

Because I have never real had someone do something to me that was so terrible, that I could not forgive him or her.

However. . .

I have done things to other people. . .

Terrible things I did!

I just hoped that they would forgive me.

I'm not sure if they still hate me.

And remember, some times the people that you hurt may feel that pain for a while.

So just be understanding.

You can ignore me if you want. But pain that last 4-6 years must of been something terrible that you
just can't get over yourself and has the other person forgiven you. Again you could just ignore me.

Again it really depends on what it is you feel you need forgiveness from. 4 to 6 years is a long time to carry guilt, especially for someone of your age (your thing says 17). You must have been quite young when whatever happened happened.

Whatever it is that happened obviously made a big impact on your life, but you can't carry guilt forever, at some point you need to let go of the pain and you need to let go of the past. What's done is done and can't be undone, so it can never be forgotten, but your past should shape your future, not dictate it. If you don't let go and move on from what is making you feel so down on yourself then you will end up screwing up your present and future.

Let it go, I know it's hard, but deal with it.

That actually does make sense because my mom did that to one of her enemies and then she started
something with my mom just so things would be back to normal.This makes no sense its so weird.
