i think it really depends on the person and how there mind works
cuz with me i know the difforence between reality and fiction.
but my cousin... doesnt
he shot me with my brothers paint ball gun cuz he wanted to be like gangsters on GTA
so i got my BB gun and shot him back sure he cried but he learned a lesson
so it really just depends
btw me and my cousin are the same age

Do you believe violence in video games is the cause of crimes nowadays?
No, i do not. We've always had crime, and people are always looking for things to blame. Video games have just become the scapegoat for crime.

Do you believe violence in video games is causing aggression in teenagers?
Nope, nope, and nope. Most of the people i know that play video games never (or very rarely) get in fights. Let's just say that the video game players aren't the ones causing the violence problem in my school.

Violent video games actually do bring out aggressive behavior. Video games are largely competitive in nature, which often requires aggression of some form to win. It works in the same way contact sports can make people act more aggressively. The thing is that "aggressive behavior" is not always violent. To simply say that video games don't affect the player in any way is retarded, because if they had no effect on us, they'd be boring as ****.

Violence in video games can affect a few, but most are not influenced by it an any way, shape, or form.

You'd have to be extremely wrong, or extremely prune to changing your ways at the slightest obstacle.

I played an M rated game at age 3 and am still playing it, yet here I am, acting better then some people of my age on here and at my school.

The government is just looking for something to pin the blame on that appeals to parents.

The truth is, the thing that seems to influence most people I know is music, among many other things.

Half of my class had probably never played video games and have always spent their time outside playing and listening to music.

The one that seems most effective is rap or any other category of song that involves sex, lyric-wise or not, thus leading, to, well, we all should know the answer to this.

And, of course, let's not forget about behavior that they can pick up from their parents.

i don't think it is because videos games cannot make you act aggressive maybe to some it can like little kids but most people it can't it's just the way they act.

I mostly agree for the most part somewhat.

I played it a bit on my brother's psp when I was twelve. I thought that it was fun, but it didn't cause violence for me.

Really, the only people that play video games and then go on a rampage in a mall or something(Like, major, like that) are that ones that were mentally "challenged", and, therefore, should not have been playing video games in the first place.

An extreme example, but a point nonetheless. You may be able to control this rise in aggression, however others may not. Many things factor into the reaction of the subject.
