What views or kinds of people do you have no respect for?

I didn't say 'hate' in the thread title/question, just people that you do not respect.

Because I think people who go as far as hating people are often rather intolerant, and I find it hard to empathize or respect intolerant people.

I listen to many forms of rap that really, really DO sound like poetry, the number one person in particular being Immortal Technique. Your bias against a music art form just because a majority give it a bad name is ridiculous. I understand Dee's point about Rap, but yes, what he said is rap in general. Of course there are some artists or groups that are very much so in it for the money that comes with being a famous rapper rapping about drugs, violence, and objectifying women, but there are also a lot of rappers who don't rap about those kinds of things. People who rap about life and living, about love, about anything and everything most poets write about. To dislike the music is fine, but you can't say it's not poetry when it really is.

I never said that if it's about the same thing, it doesn't count as poetry. I meant that rap doesn't have much variety compared to other poetry. And though some rappers do sing about life, living, etc., that's not as common as the usual things.
