It often is.
Things can trigger depression in ones life, but it's technically "all in your head". As in, depression happens in the brain lolol.

Aside from the obvious, people can blow things way out of line. Sometimes by imagining it.

Oh, as for rappers, to be frank- I think rap just sounds awful. I don't mind poetry... not a huge fan of it, but rap honestly doesn't appeal to me in the least. I'm much more of a rock person (but that's solely my opinion)

But Rap is poetry. That's exactly what Rap is. That's what all songwriting is. To say otherwise is silly. There's nothing different between old poets who wrote sonnets and those rappers today who have number 1 hits. They're both using the spoken word and telling a story with it. In addition there are some rappers who use literary tools in order to make songs sound good. If you look at the lyrics of some rap songs, you can read it like a poem. That sounds silly yes because of the fact that most poetry doesn't talk about what most modern day popular rappers talk about, but it's true.

I don't personally listen to or care for rap, but I can respect what those people do... :\

When I said rap was hardly poetry, I was meaning it the sense where the vast majority of rap songs are unoriginal, degrading, and uncreative. Also, the messages they provoke are typically one's that are not uplifting in any sense whatsoever and do not suggest any deeper meaning then what's being said/written. This is just in general, mind you.

Personally I've never had respect for the rap genre, but for those of you who do, I'll respect that decision.

- People who criticize a religion before knowing anything about it
- People who use blatant (or subtle) double standards
- Hypocrites
- People who are too stubborn to listen to reason
- People who try to find the "Gray" area in everything (in other words: People who always look for an excuse)
