Uniforms - Page 3

I go to a private school, so I unfortunately have to.

I wear black Converse instead of school shoes though. Haven't gotten caught yet.

Same here. I have worn black Adidas's this entire school year and I haven't got caught yet.

They allow regular shoes, but we can't wear wristbands or anything. Apparently they could be "harboring weapons" ... what? It's their excuse for everything. One time, my gym teacher yelled at someone for wearing a rubber band on their ankle. This is what happened:
Me:Why does it matter? If they want to cut off their circulation, then let them.
Teacher: Because, have you ever heard of people shooting pencils out of it like a slingshot and it stabbing someone in the eye?
Me: No
Teacher: Well, they do!
Me: But, then, isn't the pencil a weapon too? And the belts we have to wear too, you could just like... whip someone with it, couldn't you? ( I said this as nicely as possible)
Teacher: ARE YOU TALKING BACK TO ME?!
Me: No ma'am
----
WTF was with THAT?! I'd say that's a valid point, don't you? :D

My public school requires us to wear uniforms.

And funny thing is that cliques still formed anyway. You could still tell a difference between a Jock and a Nerd anyway. So what's the point?

I used to wear the senior polos before they graduated.

And when a teacher asked why I had it, I just said it helps the self-esteem...

Yeah we had uniform once we had to wear shocks and shoes and shirts and pants of are choice it was rough

Except the reason for uniforms isn't to prevent the formation of cliques. That's inevitable in all aspects of society.

Gah......Uniforms.I used to hate wearing them in Junior High 2 years ago.There's a good and a bad side to wearing Uniforms.The good side is that no one is made fun of since some people in my school are kinda immature and joke on the less fortunate kids who are kinda nerdy.But the bad side is that we had to wear it EVERY DAY.I'd rather wear regular clothes than uniforms any day.

Girls in skirts FTW.......im not pervy either
