| In Snazzy New Gray Flava! | I would like to see how many people here at KHI attend co-ed schools and how many attend single gender schools. I attend an all boys school. I chose to attend Mount Carmel High School because of the great sports department and, sometimes, it's less distractions. My grades are WAY better than they were in grammar school because there are less distractions for my in an all boys high school, like girls. My mind stays focused like that. Also, give your opinions on coed schools and single gender schools. |

| Just Enough to Love You | Personally, I'd hate to attend a single sex school. It'd be boring, and the guys are already jerks with girls to distract them. . . |

| mangy dog without a collar | I feel like a few teenage pregnancies is a fair price for letting children grow up in an environment that allows them to develop social skills with the opposite sex. In other words, I attend a coed school, and wouldn't change it for any reason. |

| [The End of Everything] | I go to a coed school. I wouldn't change that, b/c I have like being able to interact with both guys and girls socially. |

| Ruler of Light | Coed schools are so full of sexist people boys at my school are such ass holes, just to impress bitchy girls...and vice versa. a private school is probably better for people who actually care about the outcome of their future, not that coed is bad, just harder. |

| Campaigning for Moderator | Ugh, I'd hate to go to a single sex school, but not as much as I'd hate to go to a single race school. That would annoy the crap out of me. |

| Banned | Homeschooling altogether seems more efficient to me, but then that wasn't one of the choices |

| peace and chicken grease | I went to a public school so it was co'ed. Mainly the only problem was alot of stupid people then people that act too stupid. Oh well it was all in fun i guess. Single gender school would have bored me. I wouldnt have been stare when i was completely bored in class. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() ![]() | Attending a coed school as well. I don't think I'd be able to keep my sanity in an all boys school, the girls and boys here are able to get along pretty well and balance a lot of things out. I'd probably not be willing to leave this school for a single gender school. |

| getting lonely, getting old | Co-ed is definitely superior. Girl friends > Guy friends |

Also, like uh, sometimes being distracted of all the work strain can be a good thing, I feel an environment with only one sex could in the long run be harmful to your ability to socialize as Son of Sam stated, not just your social skills but your relationship skills, and your ability to respect the other sex at the same time. | |
