I have a spider bite on my right arm the "infected" area is about 1 and 1/2 inches wide.

it is really red and noticable. it doesn't hurt unless there is pressure on it. been there since this morning. a fellow worker said it might be a hobo spider.

I want advice on what to do

Besides go to the doctors and get it checked out before you need your arm to be amputated or the infection spreads further?.... Besides that, i know nothing.

thats what I heard. I am going to try to go today. I haven't seen a spider in my apartment before though.

You want to run to the doctor, not drive, run like the wind. If it checks out to be not as serious as you thought, there maybe some treatment for it. Best to go before any other symptoms could pop up. Look into getting some pest repellent to spray around your room or this weird thing you plug into the wall that electrocutes (I think it does that) any moving thing in it.
