Can you sleep with noise?

it depends on what kind of noise. If its like rainfall, the wind, music, or some kind of constant noise then i can fall asleep. If someone suddenly swings open my do i usely wake up in a split second.

It actually depends. Oddly enough, if it's music I'm familiar with, I can't sleep with it.

But if I don't know it, it's fine.

My mother snores,I can hear her all the way to my room.

Idk what you could do,maybe call your brother so that he wakes up and stops snoring,then lie down again and hope that you'll fall asleep faster than he does. xD

i tried that, after i wake him up he snores again in 2 minutes

Well, I can usually sleep through sound. I mean hell, every night I sleep blasting music in my ear.

But uh, I'd suggest sleeping in the hallway or in a different room or something. And if the snoring reaches you there, then you're damned...

it depends on how tired i am i guess. i fell asleep with my ipod once...

sometimes i wake up in the middle of a night during a loud thunder storm or if someones riding their motorcycle really loud down my block. but sometimes i sleep through that too.

i'd have to be really tired to sleep through anything

Have you tried talking to them, and possibly asking if one of you could move rooms? That might help!
If not.. I don't know what else you could do...

On a different note... once my friend was sleeping over, and I slept through a chainsaw across the road. My friend got no sleep

depends on the noise......when i am really tired and some one snores..i just wanna be like shut the ---- up! lol....if its like talking i am fine.

That depends. If it's like a huge amount of racket (which it mostly always is because I have a huge family of 8 living in a not so large house...) than I usually won't be able to get to sleep, and I usually end up telling them all to shut the #$@% up. After I fall asleep though, it's a different story, because I sleep like a rock. xD Noise that I LOVE to listen to while I'm trying to get to sleep is "racket" like rain, or wind, or hail pounding against my house. I can get to sleep so much easier, and I usually sleep better throughout the night as well.

Now as for the snoring part... Well, I don't know how much help I could be but once I had to share a room with my eldest brother when he still lived with us, and I swear his snoring could have rivaled that of a train! There wasn't really much I could do, so I bought myself one of these small rock & water fountains to put beside my bedside table, and it helped me to ignore my brother's snoring, and sleep soundly. o_O

Certain things wake me, but others don't... like, someone switching a lightswitch wakes me, as does someone opening the door, but other noises don't bug me...
