Agreed.
The black on the edges doesn't work. It's like, suffocating. The smudging is well enough, it just looks bad when the stock is smudged around. The blue and yellow on the bottom look out of place.

Try for more contrast on the pinks and oranges. Don't use black just for the sake of negative space.
