The stock in the first one seems a little too bright, and not blended enough. Could be that the lighting is off.

The second is the other way around, seems too dark, especially the stock. Try better lighting. Also, the red coloring seems to clash with his hair, so try adding some yellow/gold in there to even it out a bit, perhaps.
