You must learn to walk before you can run.

A beginner needs to learn the basics of graphic design, before they can critique. It would make no sense for someone who just made his/her first tag to go on and critique someone else's work.

Well there are plenty of people who can GFX but aren't so good at giving good critique.
The only way you learn how to critique better (besides GFXing) is actually critiquing...whether it's good enough or not ._. that's just my opinion though.

I completely disagree, Dogenzaka.
If someone who can't post good critique continues trying to critique and nobody tells them they're doing it wrong then they will continue to do it that way. They won't all of the sudden say "Oh! I understand how to critique now that I have given constructive criticism on 10 tags!". The only way that someone would be able to give good critique is if they know how to make a decent tag, or know the basics(at the minimum) of art composition.

I think this thread was an excellent idea. Thank you Sparkle Motion for trying to make the graphics section a better place for all of us artists.

Even though this thread is here, most likely most newbs will just purposely over look it, thinking they already know how to critique just as good as everyone else here.
