Rippers; Lowest Class In Existence - Ripper Allegation Thread

I, among all of you, would most likely despise people stealing your work.


They're called rippers and they stomp over rights to ownership and respect.

Seeking out anything that looks eye pleasing, they just right-click images and save them to their own personal image hosting site.

Then they load up their programs and tweak it up to be the 'best thing they've done ever'



People on the forums praise them with 100/10 ratings and cheers, but they don't deserve it.



Ripping is the lowest you can go as being a graphics artist; so low in fact that they shouldn't be called graphic artists at all.


Despicable.





I have a zero tolerance to anyone that rips, no excuses tolerated at all.

YES Kira you are god.

I hate these people. I am a spriter and i can't STAND people taking other people's work. I know that quite a few people have stolen the work of my friend, Mikail. One of them was a member named Master of Time.

And Kira, not to be confused, rippers are also people who rip sprites from roms. so yea lol. i hate bad rippers, the people who steal work. Then there is a whole other deffinition of ripper. Thats why I was a little scared reading the title. thanks for finally making stealing of work an issue.

EDIT: just saw your post silh, you pretty much covered the fact that there is a different kind of ripper lol.

Stealing someone else's work and claiming it as your own is one of the worst things an artist can do.

My God, do I agree with you. The worst was when I belonged to a few forums and I worked REALLY hard on a Banner I made and really liked, and saw MY banner on a different forum, in a CONTEST....
Some jerk not only stole it, but freaking entered it into a contest! And there were coments like "Wow! You out did yourself! I love it" and stuff like that, it pissed me off.
I don't think the guy knew I belonged to that forum
So I posted underneath it "Thank you, for I 'm the one that made it" and put a link to where I originally had it and posted it in a thread.

and the guy makes his own banners too, that is what I couldn't understand! Why the heck did he have to steal mine when he could have made his own!!!!!!!!

How do you know he makes his own banners? maybe all he does is steal others work amongst many forums. Ya people like that i hate. Master of Time and Sora6968 both have Mikail's Sig and Avatar without permission and when asked to take it down they said no.

yeah, pfft, he "makes" his own banners. See, I was actually wondering about that. And I was talking with a friend and we were on the look out to see if any of his work was an edited copy of someone else's (he was one of those "fourm whores", sorry about the naming there, that posted everywhere, so many freaking times that it made you wonder if he even had a life)

What pissed me off is that he asked me for a graphic to use in her banners like 2 weeks later after that incident. Ugh, and it makes me so mad that people still think that he is SOOOO great, Grrrrrr.

And that's pretty low of those 2 ppl. Actually, it's lower then low.
I don't think they have the right to have those at all. I feel bad for Mikail, for that is like a slap. And in my opinion, it's people like that that make graphic creators stop producing/making graphics or just not share them and that isn't cool. I mean, I think it's cool that some people take the time to create images and graphics and then share them with others and everything. It's almost like a favor, in a way. I don't know. I just think it's disrespectful.

Hear hear. An 'artist' who steals others' work, can't be called an artist and isn't one. Second, what kind of a self-respecting artist would rip anyway ? There's no fun or satisfaction in getting credit for something you haven't done, nor is there any in ripping off an artist who worked his ass off making a good sig for example.

And yeah, the least she could've done is blurred out Kira's name enough so it wouldn't be visible anymore, but she even sucks at ripping, pathetic.

I don't really mind that they stole Pyranthes, (Compared to what I do now, it's horrible) but the fact that they went so low as to just blur my name out and call it their own is what I can't stand.
