i don't think the red and yellow mix well.

and the stock looks strange to me. is it over-sharpened? especially his eyes.

Fade sharpen.
Warm color pallet (in this case red/orange bg, yellow/orange fg)

Has potential, just some more activity to get things jumping.

that's an ugly shade of yellow. keep it pure if you're using a single color against a monochromatic background.

you know i think i was noticed that too but i couldn't formulate the idea.

try the yellow that's in the girl's shirt in your avvy. the bright color would make the tag just stand out a little bit more i think.
