You completely destroyed the purpose of a sprite tag. It's supposed to have DEPTH, you completely covered it with messy effects. Sorry if I sound harsh, but that is the truth.
I'd strongly suggest looking some sprite signature tutorials to understand how they work.

Go download C4E's psd's they helped me alot in sprites and contrast.

Use filters sparingly and use complementary colours more. You aren't restricted to only the colours on the sprite. It looks like you vomited on a canvas and then decided to stick a sprite in the middle with the current colour scheme and overwhelming amount of filters, smudging, and the random splatters.
