From what I can tell, your Wolverine piece looks pretty interesting with its deep color compliments, liquified distortions in the background, and transparent Impact text to tie it all together.
But in general -
*I'd say that you might want to try stepping outside using colors from your stocks, practice working your text better with your stock choices, typography wise (don't just use fonts with block - edges), and messing around with filters that DA tutorials don't just recommend. You've got some notches of potential in there.
