After a long abscence, I've decided to pop in at KHI. I've noticed recently that AMVs are getting more attention. So why not share some of my own since graphic-making is next to alien to me? That being said, since I have a fair few to post, I'll constrain them to this thread so there won't be spam.

Now. I will say this once and once only. There are a couple of these that contain yaoi. If you all are as mature as I hope you are, you'll overlook that fact if you do not like it, and concentrate on the quality and methods used in the videos. I'll give a fair warning in each if there is or is not. If you don't like it, that's perfectly fine. Just don't flame or whine at me about it. :3

001: It was pretty good besides the fact that I HATED the song. But nicely done on timining a the lighting effects. But I would rate this as normal, seeing that there was nothing big or special about it. Maybe I shouldn't expect that much out of an AMV hardly above a minute long.

002: Same rating and critique, but the song was better ^^

003: I have to give you major props on this one. It was hilarious. Best comedic AMV I've seen probably ever, which isn't saying ALOT because I don't watch a alot, but you did an amazing job. I don't really have any critique on this one. 5/5

004: Eh it was alright. I thought it didn't have sufficient clips to make this combination good. But it was well done for what you used.

005: I'm going to take a guess that you're for gay pride? Anyways I feel the theme you used might have others be biased towards your video but eh whatever. Song was perfect as you mentioned. Clips were nicely placed and I felt this was your best one besides 003 from what I've seen so far. Nice use of effects.

006: I didn't watch this video because I'm kind of tired of watching an AMV on Axel and Roxas but preferably not men.

Overall I think you have incredible talent and amazing creativity which you need to continue to bring out. It will bring you far man. I don't know if your still doing AMV's but good luck in the future.

Btw I have a few questions: What program do you use and how long have you been creating?

It's refreshing to see constructive critique that doesn't follow the 'OMG WTF. THEY AREN'T GAY, YOU ARSE or 'that's cool'' template that I've seen. I'm glad you enjoyed PS I Love You. That one was a lot of fun to make. Probably because Hilary Swank's voice was coming out of Roxas. And thanks for being honest about the definite flaws.

And yeah, I am for gay pride. xD S'what I like about the Kingdom Hearts fandom - Nomura leaves it open for interpretation. Hopefully I can find some sort of career that involves editing, because you're right, it can take you very far. As for the program I use, the older videos were created with Sony Vegas 7.0 Platinum and the more recent ones with an updated version of Vegas 7.0. Hmm. I've been doing it for a few years now, I suppose. Started out on WMM, but began to do it seriously about a year and a half ago or so.

Just got very tired of seeing all the videos floating around that have a song and just re-arrangements of the KH openings and endings. -.-

*sigh* So smooth....

First AMV
- Great flow with clips and song choice
- The clips are bright and clean, but still a little brurry.
- Just a suggestion, when it comes to the piano notes try using freeze frame in certain clips with chars. to capture their emotion.
- Editing was great and clean with timing although some quick brightness in certain parts was not necessary.

Second AMV
- Yet another great AMV but a bit better than the first.
- Great song choice, nice blend of effects and good use of dialogue between Namine and Sora when there are no vocals in a soft part of the song.
- Try to fade out the song and video at the end because it doesn't look when its cuts off like that.
- Editing is superb! Just fix the ending.

Third AMV
- Love AkuRoku, but I have to be honest. Lip-syncing with games are not possible IMO. It makes it unbearable to watch and just doesn't fit well with any voice you try to sync, especially in a trailer.
- Editing was great but I get the feeling that perhaps you used too many clips for one scene. You can disagree with me if you like on this issue.
- The trailer is so cute between Axel and Roxas it makes me want to barf...in other words, great flow and enjoyable, I like it.

Fourth AMV
- Reno and Tifa? Ok, but anyway on to what I want to say...
- Editing was alright with me but the audio was skipped a few times.
- Song choice and focus, to be honest there's really no chemisty or relationship between these two and I can't find it enjoyable. Things would make sense if its between Cloud and Aeris, not that I support them or Cloud and Tifa but just in general.
- Overall, it was alright for me.

Fifth AMV
- Another AkuRoku vid which means more mush for the fangirl masses.
- Anyway, when I think of the song I usually think the focus is parting ways. From what I see, it applies a little to their story and I think its better if you shorten the AMV because you used repeated clips and some portion of a clip and reused it. Plus there's not much else to go on there between Axel and Roxas.
- Editing was great but there were obvious times when the lyrics goes "Im ma burnin'!" and you used Axel casting fire, I must say it got a little annoying plus as I said before, repeated clips.
- Overall, it was alright.

Final AMV
- A third one?! The screams are getting louder...
- First problem is the screen, its a bit too small and should be in a larger scale.
- This AMV is best in a short and sweet version, if you make it too long you'll end up using repeated clips and I see a few in there. This vid is like a repeat of "what's left of me".
- Editing is great in certain parts but most of the time there were off timing with the music. Manga/doujinshi along with the game clips plus one push button scene don't mix well IMO. Its too busy and shows too much of what's going on. Focus on Axel only makes things a bit easier due to the song.

Sorry for the long post but I had to say it. The difference in your older and newer AMVs is that you put more focus on the overall idea rather than something you think you personally like, like doing a AMV based on your favorite song. Not cool at all. Great vids overall!
