Sony Vegas Pro 8

Alright so I just downloaded the trial version. I took a look at it, and there seems to be so much to it. So i've been looking around for tutorials but I haven't found anything that developed. Does anyone here got any good tutorials or instructions that will show me the basics and everything Vegas has to offer?

Video tutorials are the best to see how its done. There are probably a bunch of them on YouTube.

Alright yeah I see all of them.
Before I was wondering why I never stuck with Vegas when I had it and I remember now because I'm having the same damn problem. When I go to play the clips, instead of playing both files, audio and video, it only plays the audio and shows nothing. I think it's a missing codec but I have no idea which one if any.

I had the same issue but I realized later that it wasn't a missing codec but I was blind to see that beneath the preview window was a symbol to change from only audio, only video, and video and audio. I use Premiere btw.
