AMV- if this is the right place.

okay, I made an AMV a while ago. If this is the right place, can you review it to help me?

YouTube - Kingdom Hearts - You Know My Name

Things to change (I think)

1) moving Ansem/Xemnas/Barbossa around
2)replacing Belle/Donald at the end
3)reworking the first chorus (should probably be a fight scene instead of talking)
4) deleting Saix's one frame clip
5)try to find a different clip for the "diamonds" part,
6)deleting one second clip of Xehanort (and trimming some of Xeman's white light)
7)finding a different thing for Vexen.
8) replacing second Saix scene
9) finding a different thing for Ansem's last scene ( I didn't like reusing the clip)

anyway, if you can help me in anyway that would be great.

Question: Who are you basing the song off of? Is it Ansem? The Org 13? or pretty much everyone?

The reason I ask this is because it feels like its all over the place. There's no focus on a person or story by the way I see it and the song focuses on one person fighting for what's right even knowing the risks. If you're going to choose someone its obviously Sora.

As for the editing, subtitles are not a good thing to see, and it wouldn't hurt to use some effects though I did see some some timing with certain clips.

Overall, it was not that bad.

Subtitles really are a big no-no in AMVs in the first place and what do you mean by the "name thing"?

Everytime he said "You Know My Name" at the end, I had someone address someone else with either their own names or someone else's.

Belle shouts Donald

Auron introduces himse

S/D/G follow suit

Mickey says "Wise Ansme"

Pete calls Mickey "The Boat Boy King"

etc.

I see. Well just because the song has that "You Know My Name" doesn't really mean you really need to show who's who in the subtitles. It really isn't necessary at all. Its like what I said before, the song just talks about a hero who takes risks and what you're doing is making the AMV based on the title of the song. That is not how a AMV works, try to focus on one person and work from there, see how it turns out.

Alright so I hope you don't take this so offensively.

-I couldn't even finish it, it bored me that badly.
-All you did was through clips together without actually putting any meaning behind them.
-None of them corresponded to the beat or lyrics so there was nothing special to it.
-There was no climax to your video, or even a rising action. It was all steady, with them sort of talking and standing around.
-Poor choice of clips.
-If you want to get better search some of the old videos from either me or, Chaywa, Dog, Gamergirl and such and study those.

i congrat you on ur effort but im srry to say it wasnt that good >.<

- there were clips that were unneccesary on parts
- the song and clip didnt really sync
- didnt see the focal point of the story
- the transition from one scene to another was off beat

keep trying man and mess around wit it. i seen many people like you durin my time in this forums who began their amv's like this and most of them turnout to be one the best amv makers i seen in this forums.soo just have fun wit it and experience things :D
