So yea.
Cory inspired me to high tail it back here a few weeks ago due to some drama manifesting with some of the modlies. Memories surfaced, old habits die hard, and now I'm back in my beloved graphic ..now, "Digital Media section..lol wtf?" of KHI.

K NOW HERE'S WHAT I'VE DONE

New Styles/claiming:
*Bright Colors (Dee and Vanilla Inspired)
*Vectoring (Coming Soon)
*TOOLING / custom / random shapes (<333)
*Minimalism (ever used, ever applicable)

[I took a trip around Tag Monkey, got inspired to do something other than the stuff they're constantly pushing out of their heads, and made this for an Art Institute Portfolio]:

[Scholarship Entry that's the hottest thing under a particular Brickfish category, atm. Yellow's too bright, some areas are too blurred, needs to be sharpened, some of the smudging and tooling are predictable, but argh I couldn't edit the thing after I submitted it]:

I'm confused. Are you looking for critique?

If so, I really love these pieces. Some of them seem a bit Low-quality and blurry (maybe they're scaled down incorrectly or it's just me) but yeah this is approximately the same style I've been trying to improve myself. I love the second one with the lipstick. It'd make a great add.

As for your second post, second one definitely. The darker black adds more of a contrast that makes it seem less cloudy. At least in my opinion.

Thanks so much for stopping by and giving me your input on these. Yea, some of them were scaled down because the quality of the /colors/ rather than the stock used seemed to increase by knocking half of their pixels off from the original amount. We're in the same style spectrum eh? ;) That's very interesting. Maybe we should collab sometime, yea?

The negative space is something that I love. It gives it much better flow, IMO.

A lot of these are low in quality. Anyway, my tip to you is this: The lighten filter works quite well with some pieces, but it doesn't always fix everything and make it look wonderful, nor does it have any lasting appeal after using it in everything. This last one above me is pretty decent, but the low quality stock takes a lot away and it does feel rather empty near the top.
