Listen to V_A. He, in knowledge of graphics > You, in knowledge of graphics.

You want CnC? Honestly, the colors remind me of shit. It's majorly lacking in depth and flow and lighting, and the stock is low quality. You want to disagree and argue? Go for it. But you're not going to learn by simply saying, "N0, MI STUF ROX DOOD, STFU U SUK. U NO NUTHIN ABOWT ART!1!!1"

Certain things attract people's attention. If you follow the rules, the theories, you'll almost always make something that people like." That is commercial, which art should certainly not be.
Ever heard of commercial art? It's still art.
Art is what you make it, but all forms have rules. You can either accept it or continue to sink into mediocrity. I speak as though they are facts because they are. The theories were established because someone who knew art far better than you or I sat down and figured out that people are drawn to certain combinations of colors and different ways we arrange things. When you place a stock, you should follow the rule of thirds. A RULE established by photographers who discovered that people's eyes are drawn to specific points ("power points") on photos. Whether you like it or not, art has rules established by people who studied the great masterpieces and why people liked them so much.

In the colour wheel, the "Rules" say that the opposite colours go nicely with eachother. Now disagree all you like, but green and red are disgusting together.
If you're restricting yourself to complements, you're going to have a tough time. There's the triads and adjacent complements who want some love, too.

Blue and orange are complementary. People love the Gators' colors. Red and green were chosen for Christmas since they are complementary and won't clash. You may find them ugly, but it has been proven that the public finds them awesome together.

Also, i don't particularly want to get into music or writing, as they have absolutely nothing to do with my tag.
Examples. Meant to expand my point. Not to be talked about.

I, also know what i'm talking about. I've done all kinds of arts for several years
and question myself all the time. But these are my views and they aren't going to change, i'm sorry, but you just can't "help" me.
No one will be able to help you, not even yourself, if you continue to reject CnC from people who know what they're talking about. Compromise your views, or quit striving to better yourself at graphics or any form of art. Rules are everywhere and here to stay.

No, because that was actually quite helpful. Although, i didn't like the comment about shit. Also, please don't just come in and say things like "OMIGOD U NO NUTHIN N V_A NOS EVERYTIN!1111!"

It was an example.

Yep. That's why there's the saying "Red and green should never be seen."

I'm not rejecting c&c, i'm just sharing my views. Just like you.

I hope you don't think i have anything against you, or purposely trying to be an arse, but i like to have a debate with other people with other views. This, in fact, broadens my views on the whole subject, and i've learned alot from this.

In the end, i think we're both missing the point. It's just a tag, i didn't once disagree and say it was anything more than it is. I actually think it's not very good, i just wanted hints and tips on what to do to it.
