| Ruler of Light | Hey everyone! What's up? So I started work on this story recently and I'm having more trouble with it than I originally thought I would have. Would anyone be willing to be my editor? (Lol.) Thanks ![]() *Edit* You know what I just realized that this question rings with stupidity. I'm just gonna post it here in the Lit. section and let you all have a look at it! ![]() AH DON'T KILL MEEEE!!! xD Last edited by Twilight_Path; 09/12/08 at 08:24 PM. |

| Organization Member | After not writing for a long time, my imagination orgasmed this morning. I wrote a story-line in two hours that I'm currently still editing, but I think it's decent. I'll post a little on it when I finish sketching some scenes. That's half the fun, drawing it after :D |

| Disney Soldier | well I do write and I hope to write something really great one day. I even got my own page on WritersCafe.org Strife | WritersCafe.org | The Online Community For Writers however, since kingdom hearts was such a big part of my life I try to put even a little bit of it into my writing...which sometimes doesn't really work out. It's just that whenever I try to write a fantasy story, the elements here come more into play than something like Lord of the Rings or whatever. I think this might be a problem because some of the elements in the game are basically played out too much in literature. But the part that influenced me the most was Riku's Reverse/Rebirth story of Chain of Memories. The concept of Twilight, using the powers of light and darkness back to back, fascinates me. But thanks to the crappy Twilight series, whenever I say the word Twilight, everyone thinks crappy vampire story, not combination of light and darkness like I intend. It's really difficult in some parts, but so far I have this other idea that revolves around magic knights. Ya know? Swordsmen who also use magic just not as much as wizards and stuff, but I dunno. Would you read that? Does it sound interesting or is it used too much already? |

| Organization Member | Dammit, I finished the plot outline for my first story, but then another story hit me and I have to write this. I don't think I'll ever finish my first story :/ My first story had something to do with the Behemoth My new story's about the Zombapocalypse. That's what it's called. I think it's more fit for like, a TV anime series. That's how I imagine it in my head. It would be badass if it were. |

| Warrior of Darkness | Do stories need themes or you can still write a good story without a theme? |

Anyway, the term "theme" is kind of vague. So I'm not sure what aspect of the creative process you are referring to. I'll just assume that you are using the "General Idea" or "General Tone" as the definition. In either case, it's really impossible to avoid. Even if you don't have a particular theme planned; one will eventually come out in the process. Basically, just focus on the story. A theme will reveal itself in time (you might not even notice it until it is finished). | |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() | A story can go about nothing at all, and still be enjoyable, so yeah, no theme needed. Problem is, most of the times when you go further then, let's say, a few paragraphs with a story, a theme always sneaks in. |
