Become perfection. Don't take the first draft as the final. I've rewritten some of my stuff probably 20 times over, tweaked it, rewrote it again, then tweaked it some more. Some of my stuff I'm still editing occasionally.

My technique stop being lazy and just upload spell check. Which I have now used to redo chapters 1 and 2 now on to chapter 3's rewrite.

Annoyance: Well I have already redone the chapters, I down loaded word and just used it's spell check program so the chapters above should make sense if not tell me and i will just upload a more complex program.

I read the first 3 chaps (and all of the posts). I have to say i'm impressed. From the way some posters described this, it was an absolute and total mess, but it seems pretty cleaned up to me. I was able to make sense of it (before I knew some people had to try), and I'm looking forward to reading more.

The only thing I noticed was punctuation. There were some points in chapter 3 (i didn't notice it in the rest) where somebody would ask a question, and you wouldn't add a question mark, or someone would make a statement and no period. But these are simple mistakes sometimes, and I immediately knew what you meant, so it was all good^^ keep me updated when you add new chapters man:lol:

Max: Yay improvement. I feel like I have had to do a lot of that to make my story and literature better (help when the mistake you make get pointed out so you know not to make them.

And without further ado chapter 4 (wish I could say chapter two). Laugh at the chapter’s name it made me for sure.

Chapter 4: The Four Swords Horizane

In one fell swoop the kingdom of Altein along with all of its territory and villages were burnt down to the ground by a force unknown to anyone. Even the neighboring kingdoms Ultan, Sorenta and Falmer had a hard time believing how much damage had been caused in one night.

At this moment however Stras didn’t care whether they believed it happened or not. In reality all Stras cared about was what to do at this time. In one night he had lost his father, watched his mother die in his hands and some sick man take his brother after killing Cicero.

Lifting his head up Stras evaluated the pile of ash which was once his house. Stras never found his fathers body and dealt with the fact it had burned with the house. However at the same time when he got back the cart he put his mother’s body in had also been set ablaze. Though for some reason he could have sworn it was far enough to avoid the flames.

"Stras, you okay?" The boy didn’t even turn around from where he was standing he knew who’s voice it was and didn’t really feel like talking to her at the moment. Mindy however wasn’t going to walk off and let him waste away thinking. However, she wasn’t about to start an argument either.

"I still don’t want to believe it," Stras finally said turning around to meet Mindy's blue eyes with his violet eyes. Stras could tell Mindy had been crying do to the dry look in her eyes.

"What are you going to do?" Mindy asked sitting down next to Stras holding her knees together as if hoping he had answers that she didn’t.

"Its not like I can go after them, they cleared the area before anyone could identify them even now I bet the kingdoms are in a uproar, with Altein being demolished by a fraction of unknown people," Stras said repeating himself showing that he wasn’t really in his right mind.

"My moms helping the other survivors build a memorial for the dead, it’s the only thing she can do to get Mark out of her mind," Mindy then got back up but instead of walking away she grabbed Stras's left arm causing him to look up. "Come on lets see if there’s anything left at the castle, maybe we will find a clue before the searching unit goes threw it." Not fighting back Mindy pulled with her a very gloomy Stras.

After an hour of walking, the two teens found themselves in an area which in its own right could be considered a live graveyard. Bodies covered in blood were in every corner of the site especially around the ruble that was once Castle Altein.

"Oh my god... What kind of monsters could do this," Mindy slightly twitched as she looked upon the site holding her hands to her mouth in shock. Stras however took it all in.

"Its' what they call war Mindy while me and you play around in are little matches, people like Iochu rise to cause untold massacres," Stras said harshly the look of confusion still in his eyes as Mindy eyed him hard.

"I don’t think I deserved that," Mindy said as she walked away hopping to find a survivor in the mist. Stras however, simple walked into the court field of the rubbled kingdom. As he walked he noticed something that pulled him out of his current state, through the whole site of bodies he had seen none that belong to the men that attacked his village. No the bodies here only belong to the guards, archers, and knights of the castle.

"This doesn’t seem right," Stras said aloud as if expecting someone to come explain it to him. Then out of the corner of his eyes to the left, he saw something glowing. Deciding that the place held no danger Stras walked over to the light.

"Stay away you demonic bastards,” out of no where a man covered in blood jumped out in front of Stras holding a plain sword, likely planning to stab it into him. "Oh thank the gods it’s only a village boy," the knight said letting out a small laugh though it sounded like with every "ha" the guy’s voice cracked.

"Are you okay... what did you mean by demons," Stras asked with a curios look intrigued by what the man knew. Seeing the boy’s interest he let out a small grin.

"I don’t know myself the enemy… we never say them, they covered themselves in black twisted armor as if hiding something, there strength not comparable to a man and they fought... they fought like monsters. I promised the King to protect the items that had been shipped to us all the way from Tanesto," the knight said suddenly falling to the ground, a huge gash could be seen on his back were it looked like a set of claws striked.

"I am guessing that the items are behin..." Stras stopped and looked at the body, the knight had stopped breathing. Walking toward the body Stras was about to see if he could identify the man though as he walked towards the body the special item seemed to catch his attention. Walking over to it Stras wondered what could have been worth that mans life until a voice popped into his head.

"From the four corners of the world we come, are blades untainted by lust or love." Stras looked around trying to find the source of the voice. "But in the end how we are used is up to you," Stras then moved closer to the light he had originally walked for laying on the ground. As he neared the object the voice finished its sentence. "For you are the new wielder of the Horizane and your journey will start with the use of South.”

"The Horizane what type of name is that," Stras said as the light dimmed out leaving in front of the teen a strange sword case. It was in the shape of an "X", all black and kind of big for a case. Then again as far as he could tell there was a regular sword hilt produced out of all four ends.

"This is getting weird."

"My, look whose back already and do my eyes deceive me or did you actually get the target," Luna said as sarcastic as possible. However as Iochu walked into the room a few more people could be seen eight in total including Iochu and Luna.

"There’s no point in trying to cause an argument with him Luna, he’s as cold as the armor he wears," a soothing voice said. The source of the voice was from a women leaning on the unforeseen wall. Not much of her was visible besides her face the rest of her body was covered in a strange cloak though it couldn’t be considered a cloak, it was more like a hazel rag just sowed up like a cloak. Her smooth pale skin glowed with her scruffy brown hair and gray eyes the best guess of her age would maybe be about 23.

"Shut up Eve I have the right to do what..." Luna went silent as did everyone else. Then after a minute a voice spoke.

"Perfect job Iochu, it’s good to see that your skills haven’t faltered during your absence" Iochu simple nodded his head as he answered back.

"Yes, master and as ordered the children have been put on the top section of the tower, unfortunately they are both unconscious at this time," Iochu waited for a response.

"Alright then I will leave that matter alone for now. Eve report the current situation," All eyes on the room turned to Eve who had put her book down and looked up.

"As far as I can tell the item can be brought out of the body but we need to know which one its in exactly, the procedure can't be done twice, do to lack of material," Eve then returned to her book as if that was the only part she had to be involved with.

"And what about you Ragna, any idea of where to attack next or do your schematics’ need a little more time," The voice this time sounded like it was getting more and more impressed with the results.

After a second a man standing about five point eight feet tall walked in front of Iochu who gave a small grumbled insult. Unlike the other generals or warlords as the master called them, this man had a more proper and clean appearance. He wore cloths that almost resembled a noble prince’s get up, royal garbs with small pieces of jewels here and there in the blue eloquent clothing.

"As I said before Altein was a good attention grabber, now if we want this to look like random strikes rather then what they actually are then the next attack should be in the eastern region of this continent where the first element will be right in, the kingdom of Tanesto," Ragna said knowing this info would please the voice.

"Perfect news Ragna," The voice said echoing as it always did through the pitch black room the only light source coming from the people in it.

"And what of the locations for the third, fourth, and fifth elements Lady Yomia, Minutian," The voice waited patiently as a women in her mid 30's walked up.

Her Hazel eyes shining in the room not like anyone else’s. The style of her white hair was quiet simple, tied in ponytails reaching to her neck. Like Mindy, Yomia was dressed in a karate like gimmick but unlike Mindy’s style, Yomia had extra features, like the over sized arm pieces that completely hid her arms as if hiding concealed weapons. Also Yomia's cloths were orange with purple straps and a Yin and Yang sign on the back.

"Sadly it’s not going well. Unlike the other two these ones seem to be lost to all eyes and ears of history, though we do think that if aloud we could find some trace of them in the Traveling documents which only one known copy exists" The women said in a low but audible voice. Apparently this one didn’t care for talk.

"And where is this document held"

"In the Grand Library in the Kingdom of Falmer guarded by the kingdoms full might" A new voice said. The projector of it came from a man seating not to far from Eve. This man unlike the rest was completely in shrouded in a blue jump suit. His face was concealed in a blue cloth with two black eyes pieces; if there were any exits out of the suit they were indeed not visible.

"I see you must give me some time to think on this matter, Eco take your guard with you and check on the children, I leave the matter up to you. Find out which one holds the key” The voice said as foot steps could be heard leaving the room.

"Master is it wise to let Eco take care of that I mean I could care less what happens to them but I don’t agree with Eco's methods" Luna asked aloud though no one said it about a good half of the other warlords had to agree.

“I don’t really care for your opinion of his tactics Luna I care for results. This meeting is adjourned get your rest, all of you things will get busy real soon" The master said its subjects all bowing as they left the room. After a moment of silence the voice let out a small chuckle. "Its amazing what can be done by these mortals especially when promised there deepest desires."

Sephoriroth2: Thanks man that is most likely in my opinion the hardest part of any story, explaining how characters look because I can imagine them but I just cant explain it all that well. Though at the way you describe my efforts It seems I am doing okay.

Yep all the warlords besides Eco and The Guard have been introduced. At last most of the players have been set. Now to set them against each other (A fight shall be coming soon to all of you who love violence be pateint lol).

Sorry for taking so long to get this chapter up guys but here it is.

Chapter 5: Journeys Beginning

What felt like a few hours to Stras were in reality ten minutes. Still staring at the X shaped case, Stras started to wonder whether there really was a voice inside his head playing a trick on him or these blades had really just talked to him.

There was also the wonder of what could be done about his brother, Iochu had taken Talen and Mark alive which gave a real good chance that man was planning on keeping them that way. Though as Stras continued to ponder on that idea another road block came in, what the hell could he do.

“I have no idea even were to look, no info no clues and even if I could find them what the hell could I use to fight them off,” Stras stared down at the four sword case. He did have something to fight with, those blades plus his magic abilities. “Even with those now I need an idea of where to start,” then Stras remembered what the guard had said about the items being shipped from Tanesto.

“Tanesto, that’s on the other side of the continent how would I even get to Falmer… then again,” Stras immediately grabbed the case which proved quiet heavy at first until he turned it around, on it’s the back was a vice grip. Leaning it up against the wall Stras laid down until the grips reached past him. Moving his hands Stras connected them as quick as possible. As he stood up for once in his whole life Stras felt like he knew what he was doing as he started to run past the courtyard and into the forest leading to Falmer’s borderline only imagining how Mindy would react when she found him gone.

“Oh my head,” Talen said rising up from his unconscious state rubbing his head from where the soldier had slammed the butt of his weapon. Then remembering everything else that had happen he quiet violently got up and searched for Mark thankfully not having to look far as his friend was right behind him still knocked out cold. Running to his friend Talen immediately grabbed him and started to shack him. “Mark wake up this isn’t the time for a nap we have to.”

“Mom,” Mark woke up with a sudden jolt while accidently hitting Talen straight in the head during the process. After a moment of breathing Mark realized that Talen was lying straightened out on the floor. “Where are we and why are you laying on the floor,” Mark asked as he stared at Talen with a puzzled look as he decide to stand up.

“Because I didn’t know it would be this painful to wake someone up,” Talen sarcastically said as Mark mumbled an apology. However for Marks second question Talen himself wasn’t sure. It looked like they were in a cell small and barley lit. Looking around it seemed like the room was quiet black even outside the cell there didn’t seem to be any other color besides the flamboyant orange and red coming from some torches.

“Well it seems the test subjects are awake now to begin,” Talen and Marks eyes turned to the cell door as a tall figure walked in hidden within the shadows of the cell.

“Where are we and why did you kidnap us,” Talen yelled with a quiver in his voice searching for anything to defend himself and Mark with as a secondary figure walked in.

This one however was definitely visible and truly a strange site. As it came closer a giant gear could be seen moving around its back, though as the silence in the room continued more and more clicks and clanks could be heard as if moving around inside the woman. Though the only reason anyone could account it was feminine was because of the shape of the armor covering it had in fact cleavage and the slim figure of a woman. The armor is self was the same color as the gear on her back which was silver. Also the armors shoulder blades had slim guards as the armors strength could be seen more in the chest plate and the legs. As for the arms it looked like the only place it was strengthened was on the joints.

“Shut up and just be happy you’re alive, for now,” the man said still covered in the shrouds of shadows as the women started to walk over to the boys in a very threatening way.

“Stay back or…or,” Talen’s threats were utterly useless as the woman got closer and closer. Without warning Mark jumped for the women’s legs hoping to trip her not seeing much of a result do to the fact she was obviously stronger Mark looked up with a look of regret.

“Attack,” before she could grab Mark, Talen rushed all off his weight onto her upper body unbalancing her poster and caused her to fall backwards. Immediately letting go both boys dashed for the door ready to dodge what ever Eco could through at them. Though as they got near the cell there hopeful escape was about to crumble.

“Chains,” being caught off by the strange sounding voice Talen turned his head to be caught up in a bound of chains that had wrapped around him causing him to fall as well as Mark. Looking at there capture the boys face’s were filled with surprise as the women stood up without her helmet. For the face they were looking at had no eyes but to orbs with a red center piece pointing right at them as if scanning them.

“You two are quiet the idiots,” Eco said with a bored voice. “Though very interesting... Melody,” Eco said as the being moved its face its long orange hair could be seen by the boys as it waited an order.

“Damn why does this place have to be filled with bushes,” Stras yelled as he moved through the huge growth of vegetation that was the pathway to Falmer. As he finally got out to a clearing he decided to sit down for a moment and take a breather.

“Wow how do foot soldiers deal with this,” Stras asked aloud as he looked up at the night’s sky. It had been a good seven hours since he had left the courtyard and now he was starting to regret not getting provisions. Though if he would have done that there was no doubt Mindy would be with him nagging as much as him but worst.

“Swish,” Stras stood up as quick as he could when he heard the noise of trees rustling. Trying to find the source Stras went to grab one of the upper sword hilts though as he tried to pull it out he realized something it should have already moved when he touched it. Trying as hard as he could the blade still wouldn’t move.

“What the hells wrong with this case,” Then remembering what the voice had said he took his arm of the blade and reached for the southeast pointing blade. After a small tug Stras felt the hilt change in his very hands as the silver sword itself changed its form too. Watching as the colors flew of the blade Stras wondered what its ending result would look like.

“My, that’s a nice little sword you have there mind if we take it,” A man said walking out in front of Stras as four other men started to walk out from behind each holding a cutlass besides the leader who was wielding a broadsword. Each of them looked like the common petty thief though the leader seemed to have a more intelligent look.

“Sorry I don’t think that will be happening,” Stras said as the blade finally stopped shining the result was a very strange black and silver blade. The hilt besides its curved look had a zigzagging black shaped snake which was down from tail to head. As for the blade itself just like the hilt was curved all the way to the tip as the pattern the blade was all black besides the silver triangles that went all the way up on both sides of the blade. As Stras got a good feel for the blade he moved both of his hands onto the blade and lifted it up in front of him taking a fighting stance at the leader.

“Well good wouldn’t want things to be too easy,” The leader said in a chilled out manner. However as he did he nodded toward two of the men behind Stras who started to chuckle. Turning around Stras watched as the started to move in to strike.

“Let’s see how this thing swings,” Stras murmured to himself as he charged the two thieves’. Not expecting the move the one on the left backed downed. Taking the advantage as quick as he could Stras swung the blade downward colliding with the other thief’s cutlass as the two blades made contact Stras’s eyes watched in amazement as the cutlass under no huge pressure fell into pieces like a hot piece of glass shattering. Though not stopping the swing Stras ended up cleaving off the, mans right arm.

“David,” the man on the left yelled swinging his blade to strike into Stras’s back. Being the quicker person Stras ducked and with just his right brought his sword back destroying the cutlass the moment it touched. Stumbling backwards the thief looked at his Boss looking for a signal.

“He’s just a kid kill him already,” the leader yelled looking at his cohorts.

“Please cant you just go I mean come on one of your men is dead is that not enough for you to retreat,” Stras asked looking at the leader. If by chance this didn’t work Stras was most likely going to be forced into killing the rest of them which was really something he didn’t want to do. Then again there was also the fact the man he had just killed a moment ago was an accident.

“He’s bluffing get him,” The leader said pointing at the kid. “What are you waiting for you imbeciles?”

“Enough of this you don’t think I can do it. Then watch as I take your life,” Stras said in an angered tone as he rushed at the leader throwing the curved blade with both arms straight at the man. At first glance it looked like the blade was spinning in a normal straight line but then after a few seconds the blade started to go crazy spinning around creating an outer sphere look. Jumping out of the way like a mad man the thief turned around to watch the blade pass him by cutting through a whole bunch of trees.

“Die,” Stras turned his head to see the other two armed men come after him but with a demonic laugh he lifted his arm and chanted an earth spell.

“Ragged Earth Tear My Enemies Into Pieces,” the man who had been disarmed a few minutes ago watched as his two pals were ripped to pieces by huge spikes that launched themselves from the earth. Turning to the third man Stras only gave him a smile as he looked behind him.

“Swish,” the sword had sliced into the man’s back a few dozen times before coming back at Stras who caught it like a expert then Stras turned to pointed the blade at the only man still alive, the Leader.

“What’s wrong can’t handle one kid… gah what is this, what am I doing”, Stras said dropping the sword onto the ground as he grabbed his head. Looking down at the ground Stras could see his reflection in the swords blade. His violet eyes they looked like they had been enveloped by a red mist. Though the longer he looked at the reflection the more and more the red mist disappeared until only his eyes original color was back.

“What was that I didn’t feel possessed I knew every move I made I was in control but,” Stras stared at his hand for a moment. “The way I handled the situation and the blade it was like instructions were being pored into my head to kill and how to handle the sword.”

“You bastard, I will show you to make a fool out of me,” Stras caught sight of the thief in the swords blade in one quick movement before the thief could strike with his broadsword Stras grabbed the hilt of his blade and flanged it to the sky taking with it as it spun upward the thief’s life and head.

Seph: Ya I couldnt really decide if I wanted there to be anything special about the first sword and then I thought it really should have something it could do that other blades couldnt. So after a few hours of going threw ideas and throwing around paper it finally came to me.

Doesnt have to do anything super special just make it simple. And thats were I came up with the boomerang and breaker effect. Though I should be careful with the ability to break other weapons.
