Great chapter. I forgot that Kibo was in the Zodiac too. For a second there I thought he was gone. And I totally called Taurus. Now all that's left is for the good guys to win, and the bad guys to go down hard. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Well I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I have to tell you right now, hidden within that chapter is a certain sentence. That sentence has some epic foreshadowing.

Breaking News:
I am planning a sequel to Brittle Bullet.

Plus me and a friend are taking a trip to Japan after our graduation, on this trip we will embark on a mission to turn Brittle Bullet into an anime. I hope we succeed.

Enka broke his arm back and pulled the rip cord. Both arms and both calves in his legs began smoking and the skin began to fall away. It seemed that his whole body was slowly becoming more machine than human. Taurus stared as the components locked into place. He smiled and cracked his neck.

Brittle Bullet
Chapter 24: The Reminiscence

Taurus grabbed his right bicep with his massive left hand. He twisted hard and dislocated his right shoulder. Enka cringed just watching this gross event. A mini gun rose from Taurus' shoulder and fell forward aiming at Enka.

"Been quite some time Pisces." He gripped the gun and knelt down for less recoil. "Can you still block it?"

"Of course I can." A small black rod popped out of his left arm hinged to his wrist. It began spinning rapidly creating a red bullet proof shield just large enough for his entire body. Bullets immediately poured from the mini gun, raining steel upon Enka.

His wall managed to block most of the damage. Some of the bullets flew past the edges and hit the wall behind him. Fragments of concrete pattered his back.

The rain of bullets ended and Enka stopped his shield. Taurus grabbed the back half of the mini gun and slowly pulled it out of his body. His skin instantly sealed where the gun had been removed and turned into solid steel.

"What the fuck are you?" Enka's face filled with confusion. He has never had real powers. Just like I never did either. Thoughts of the past re-entered his mind.

"I have so much weaponry stored in my body that when I use something once, it has to be removed." He dropped the gun to the ground with an echoing crash. He pointed to the steel skin. "Then that section of my body can't be used again."

Enka smiled at the thought. He knew that Taurus thought he was going to win. That's why he had so much put into himself at such a cost. He genuinely thinks he can beat me with all this crap stored in him.

"We're just like each other now aren't we, Pisces?"
"Call me that one more time, and see what happens."

Capricorn looked on in awe at Kibo. Never before had his Sign Ability been revealed to the rest of the Zodiac. Then he thought that he saw a flaw. Capricorn made the mistake of letting out a small giggle. Kibo took this opportunity to let loose. He lunged forward with one step and seemed to flash towards the Chariot. With one punch from his left hand, the Chariot exploded.

Capricorn flew back and saw the card for the Chariot burn into ash in midair. Upon standing he removed two cards from the deck.

"Awaken, Sun. Moon."

Both cards began to glow. They turned into replicas of the Sun and the Moon. They were slowly but surely rotating around the spot that he was standing. Kibo looked at the twin bodies and then back to Capricorn. He transferred the golden bow from his right hand to his left. His sniper eye began to glow red. It's light flashed and went out. Kibo gasped in surprise.

"HAHAHA!!!" Capricorn half expected this to completely incapacitate him. "Get it? Because I control both the Sun and Moon, and I keep them moving I control the flow of time. Which means you can't use your eye to stop time."

Kibo was hanging his head toward the ground. Capricorn couldn't see his face at all.

"That's right. Go ahead and cry because you have been defeated."

Then... a laugh. Kibo was smiling and laughing. He looked into Capricorn's eyes. Capricorn fumbled another card from the deck. He held it out to the side in his right hand.

"Awaken, Wheel of Fortu-"

Then, his hand was empty. He stared at his empty right hand. What the hell? Kibo stood with his bow raised. Steam was rising from his right hand. The string of the bow was vibrating slightly. Capricorn turned toward the Tower. Pinned to the wall by an arrow was his card. It seemed to be bleeding as if it had been alive. He was paralyzed.

"Get it?" Kibo spoke in a mocking tone. Capricorn turned to look him in the face once again. "My sign is Sagittarius. The Archer. This is my specialty. I summon these arrows from the skys themselves."

He reached once again for his case of cards. It was shot to the ground by another arrow. The Sun and Moon vanished from his lack of concentration. Kibo rained arrow after arrow upon him. They pushed him back towards the Tower until his back was against the wall. Kibo smiled and then sent one last arrow, tried and true, into the direct center of Capricorn's forehead.

His body slid down against the wall leaving it covered with blood. Kibo stared at the limp figure that once claimed to be more powerful than him. The bow vanished and the symbol evaporated from his head. As he walked towards the entrance of the tower, Kibo felt a strange sensation.

Half the world went black. Blood poured from his right eye as he lost sight in it. His heart gave a sharp stabbing pain. He fell to the ground. With the last bit of his strength he pulled himself to lean against the outside of the Tower. All feeling in the left side of his body went away.

Oh well, he thought. I knew the risk of using my power would kill me. But my part of the mission is done. This is for the best. A tiny beeping noise went off. He looked at his watch. It was now counting down from 8 minutes. Then I'll spend these last eight minutes reminiscing about the good times.

The wall exploded as Enka dove out of the way of the explosion. Taurus was laughing his ass off while launching rockets from his left shoulder. Enka could barely keep up with the speed.

"This is so entertainin- aw shit." He yanked the rocket launcher from his shoulder and tossed it aside. "I used it up too fast." The skin over his left shoulder blade became steel. It almost appeared as if he had tiny silver wings on his back.

Enka wondered if this was his opportunity to wail on him. He didn't really care. Both of his hand opened up and he began to launch small grenades across the room. They seemed to line themselves up surrounding Taurus. They exploded down the line cause huge pieces of the floor and walls to fly around the room.

His arms returned to their normal black bulletproof forms. His legs were also made of matching black steel and the gears began to spin faster. Black steel blades flipped out of his forearms. He did a back flip up against the rear wall. His feet kept him there magnetically. I know he survived. Just have to time it right.

The smoke cleared and Taurus stood with his shirt torn to pieces and his body covered in dust. Weights slid up in the heels on Enka's legs. Upon slamming against the wall, they sent him flying forward like a bullet towards Taurus' wide open chest. He extended his arms to put maximum force behind the blades.

Two massive arms blocked the chest. His blades pierced Taurus' forearms. He jumped back leaving the blades in his arms.

"Okay, punk. This ends now. Now for my secret weapon. My way of being more like the Bull."

He removed the blades by hand. Taurus dropped down on his hands and knees. His skin seemed to bubble at his wrists and knees. Then small pieces of metal emerged and began to combine. They transformed into four wheels and raised Taurus slightly off the ground. Then metal slid from his temples on either side of his head to form long horns slightly resembling those of a bull. He began to spin his back wheels and brought up small clouds of smoke from burning rubber.

"We're more alike then you think, Pisces."

Now, about the chapter. About Taurus and his weapon-filled body: ew. But it's a good thing that he can only use his weapons once before they're useless. I'm glad that Kibo kicked Capricorn's ass, but he can't die. Just... no.

And now I have to go back and look for that epic foreshadowing.

Well, neither of us are that great but our other friend draws every other minute of his life.

About Kibo dying, he kind of has to. It matters a lot to the end of the story. And the sequel as well.

She just stood there letting her blond hair sit on her shoulders. No words were exchanged between her and Isaac. He simply pulled a yo-yo from his back pocket. Aquarius' expression changed as she cocked her head slightly to the right, like a puppy trying to understand something that it finds strange.

Brittle Bullet
Chapter 25: The Fortitude

"You don't know anything about my powers do you?" She didn't change her expression at all. It was as if she genuinely had no emotions.

"No. But that's no reason to hesitate is it?" He threw the yo-yo forward straight at her chest. Even Isaac wasn't stupid. This throw was meant as nothing. If it worked, she would get knocked right on her ass. A throw of the coin just to see what she would do.

She just stood there, unmoving. The yo-yo came at her open chest. It went straight through and through. So Isaac reeled it back in. Upon catching it again, he realized that it was soaking wet. This made her smile which seemed a lot creepier on a face like hers. Isaac seemed to show a sign of confusion.

"Still don't get it?" She leaned forward putting her hands on her hips. "My name is Aquarius, retard. Figure it out yourself."

Isaac placed the yo-yo back where he found it and removed a different one with a blue marking on the side. He had definitely figured it out. As long as he made him self seem clueless, she would keep her guard down. Just the opportunity presented itself in the very next instant.

"I knew you Guild men were stupid, but this is just sad." He hadn't even been listening to a single word. Isaac launched the second yo-yo. She wouldn't be able to figure out where he was aiming because of his sunglasses covering his gaze. It went through her left bicep and came back.

This time when he caught it he took off running towards her. She stepped back slightly. What the hell is with this guy?

"What kind of a fool are you? You already know those yo-yos can't touch me." When he got into range, his right leg went straight up in an alarmingly fast kick. It collided with her left arm and it shattered like glass to the floor.

Aquarius freaked and ran to the corner of the room. She fumbled and stared at her stub of an arm. Looking back to Isaac, she noticed he was now smiling. He raised his yo-yo so she could see the symbol on the side.

"I have a yo-yo for every sort of occasion." On the side, was a blue ice cube.

Huge holes riddled the walls of the room. Enka was breathing heavily. Once again, he was on the run from a man that definitely shouldn't be this fast. Taurus came rolling at him straight on at ramming speed. The weights slid up and slammed down again sending him into a boosted jump much higher than he could have on his own.

Taurus ran right into the wall again leaving another huge hole. Without retracting the wheels, he stood up to face Enka. His horns made everything he did even more menacing.

"You're a bigger bitch than ever, Pisces. Running from every attack I throw at you. What? Are you really that afraid to die?" He dropped back into rolling position. Enka thought about his options.

"Look..." He hesitated with his response. "In the past I would have fought like you, rushing headlong into battle without second guessing any choice I made. The years have changed me, Taurus. I was hoping the same for you. I guess I thought too highly of you."

Taurus sneered. For once he matched his star sign perfectly. His face filled with rage and steam shot from his nostrils. You're going to regret that.

Enka zoned out just long enough to weigh every option he had in the current predicament. The one way I can actually kill him is... but he would have to get close. Shit. This really is the only way. Enka relaxed his body and stood in a relaxed position. Taurus laughed.

"Finally gonna take it like a man? Good."

His wheels spun faster and harder than before as he took off like a rocket at Enka. He waited for the perfect second. His arms spread apart wide.

Then it came. Taurus' horns and head collided with his legs. Enka closed his arms tight around his neck. Pulling back hard, he separated Taurus' bottom jaw. Then he put his forearms together and they slowly began connecting. They formed a small RPG.

"You like being literally 'armed to the teeth'? Then you're gonna love this." He shoved the RPG into Taurus' wide open mouth. It launched down his throat and got stuck. Taurus backed up screaming his head off.

He took off to the door. Feet before he got to the stairs, the RPG detonated inside him, ripping his upper torso and head to pieces. Enka fell to the floor covered in blood and brain matter. He took a long hard look at himself.

His legs were now smashed to the point of no repair. No forearms anymore was quite a problem. Look at the shit I got myself into this time. I can't walk or crawl upstairs. And even if I got there, how the hell could I fight? A quiet beeping went off. Enka looked at the floor next to himself. His watch was lying with the strap ripped. The countdown to the bomb had now reached five minutes.

Well that's all fine and dandy I guess. His resolution was clear. My job is done. Besides, the longer I live... His parts made one last creak before shutting off.

...the less human I become.

Chris finally reached the top of the staircase and grabbed the doorknob. Without a second thought, he pushed it open and entered the top floor of the Tower.

This room was well lit, unlike the others. There were sun holes in the ceiling. One strong beam of light hit the far side of the room. A strange sight to behold was what Chris found waiting for him.

A huge throne with a big Zodiac chart at the top. In this throne was Leo smiling with his head resting in his right hand, with his legs crossed. It almost seemed as if he didn't care.

"Good afternoon, Libra."

Aquarius appeared to be on the verge of tears. Isaac stood up straight and got ready to send to yo-yo out again. As he did, Aquarius began laughing. Water extended from her left shoulder and formed a new arm.

"Did you think I was that stupid?" Isaac laughed this time.

"Actually...yes."

His yo-yo took off and hit her stomach and came back into his hand again. His right leg extended and destroyed her midsection.

She fell to the floor in two halves. Just as her turned to walk away, a puddle formed between the halves. It reconnected them and reformed her stomach. Aquarius stood up again seeming to come back from the dead.

"I don't have to do anything. It works on its own." Isaac knew the truth instantly. Her power was controlled by her mind. She had to be thinking about it to do it. The easy way out came clear.

Isaac revealed a yo-yo in his left hand. It's symbol was yellow. The ice yo-yo went through her forehead this time. But before kicking her in the face, he shot the second yo-yo. When it touched her, countless volts of electricity surged through her body completely immobilizing her. Isaac's leg came sweeping by smashing her head and ripping it from her shoulders. It hit the floor and shattered once again like her body had done before.

He reeled both yo-yos back in. Aquarius' body stood for just a second before bubbling and falling into a puddle on the floor. It instantly evaporated leaving no trace of her.

Isaac took off up the stairs. Please Chris...stay alive long enough for me to help.

Do you want to make me cry? Because if you say Enka has to die too then I will burst into tears... Well, probably not. But you get the idea. And way to dangle the last fight in front of us then just snatch it back.

As for the anime, maybe if you guys take some art and animation classes you can get better.

Still haven't found the foreshadowing, but I'll keep looking until I find it or get frustrated and decide to just screw it. My psychic powers tell me that it will more than likely be the latter. ^_^

Don't worry about the whole foreshadowing thing, it's really easy to miss. I'm pretty sure that it's already happened.

Chris looked at Leo with a hint of fear. It was just enough to make Leo smile. He stood from his throne and walked towards Chris. When he placed a hand on his hidden gun, Leo stopped. If I could just get inside his head, then maybe I'll have a chance. Chris slowly closed his right hand into a fist and pulled out a small handgun with his left.

Chapter 26: The Revelation

Isaac was still sprinting up the spiral staircase. His breath was running short. Suddenly his head felt light so he stopped. He removed his sunglasses and rubbed his right eye vigorously. Replacing his sunglasses he thought, Damn it, Chris. Please be patient for once.

"There is no need to be so hasty, Libra." Leo put his hands into his pockets. His katanas were resting as always in an "X" on his back.

"First, that's not my name. It's Chris to you."
"My apologies." His smile was more fake than ever.
"No offense, but I'm being hasty because I'm here to kill you."
"None taken. I would hate to make you wait."

Leo reached back with his right hand and removed a katana from it's sheath. Chris had a flashback to the last time he saw Leo use a katana. He had seemed to step in a flash and slice a man into dozens of pieces. He gripped his gun tighter on instinct. His right hand vibrated as he surrounded it with air. Then he made the fatal mistake of blinking.

When his eyelids opened, Leo was gone. He turned around and saw Leo standing behind him. All he did was smile at Chris. Chris felt something warm run down his arm. His sleeve was ripped and his bicep had been cut. It wasn't deep, but it did hurt quite a bit.

"You're no match for me. This is where it must end." Leo raised his sword again. He lunged forward, slicing the sword at angle to cut into Chris' chest. Once again, without thinking, Chris raised his right hand.

The blade smacked his palm and immediately disintegrated into powder. Leo stepped back amazed.

"So you have evolved again. I should have expected no less from you."

Chris stared into Leo's eyes. It seemed as if he was reflecting on a memory. Then Chris saw that Leo was still holding the hilt of his katana which was not destroyed by his hand. His new power made sense now. It only affected bladed weapons. Leo flipped the hilt around and it opened into a pistol which he was holding aimed at Chris' head. A smirk spread across his face.

He pulled the trigger.

The door then exploded open and Isaac entered the room. Leo stepped back and looked to the doorway. Chris couldn't move.

"I could have killed you, Chris." The wall behind him ha a bullet hole in it. "But what would be the fun in that?"

Isaac ran towards Leo, but he just jumped back to the throne. Chris finally took a breath.

"I told you to be careful, Chris. What were you thinking?" Isaac seemed worried for him like he had never been before.

"I wasn't thinking. Just like you told me to." Isaac only smiled stupidly and relaxed. His gaze turned to Leo again.

"You really shouldn't rush into things like that, Isaac. It's not very smart."

"I'll keep that in mind."

Chris threw the air around his fist at Leo. It smashed into his chest hard causing him to sit back onto the throne. He looked at Chris with surprise and of fear in his eyes.

"Once again you surprise me. I suppose it's only natural considering your ability." Chris gasped.

"My ability? What do you know?"
"Everything. At least, a lot more than he can tell you." He pointed to Isaac.
"Then tell me."

"Fine. I know your one true ability. We nicknamed it the Chameleon when you were still part of the Zodiac." He leaned forward in his seat. Relishing this moment to make Isaac look like a fool. "Put into simple terms, whenever a bond forms or breaks between you and another individual, a new ability is born within you."

Chris finally realized that it was the truth. The power to bend bullets had come from meeting Isaac. The hardened air from de-friending Gemini followed by killing him. But this new power to disintegrate blades. Where did that come from?

"Chris..." Isaac couldn't think of anything to say. In his loss for words, he also lost his temper. "Alright, Leo. Now it's your turn to die."

"Really? And what makes you think that you can defeat me."

Isaac removed his sunglasses for the first time in public. He threw them to the ground and the lenses shattered. Leo stood up in shock. He too was now at a loss for words. Chris then realized that it was something he should have figured out about Isaac a long time ago.

On Isaac's face, his right eye was sewn shut by thread. On his eyelid...

...was the symbol of Leo.

Isaac used to be Leo. All of the Guild people are ex-Zodiac members.
He just never revealed it.

Here, I'll give you a rundown:

Chris= ex-Libra
Kibo= ex-Sagittarius
Enka= ex-Pisces
Isaac= ex-Leo (which also means that he used to be the leader of the Zodiac)

Chris finally figured it out. The Guild was actually formed of people who have left the Zodiac. Issac's strange symbol burned into his eyelid was a shock to Leo. Chris was a little grossed out by the fact that his right eye was sewn shut. This could only mean one thing to Chris. Isaac had a power hidden away.

Brittle Bullet
Chapter 27: The Nostalgia

Isaac had a yo-yo in each hand. The veins were popping up on his wrist from his grip on them. Chris feared him in a way because he had kept something so big a secret from him.

"Well well," Leo made light mocking claps with his hands. He seemed so arrogant even though he had been blind-sided. "Now it all makes sense. Why you were after Chris here."

"Like I'd expect you to really know anything." Isaac readied one of the yo-yo's to be thrown. Chris could see it had a symbol of five yo-yo's on the side.

"Of course. After all, I did take your place as leader of the Zodiac." He smiled. This was exactly the opportunity he had waited for. "Let me tell you two a story."

Chris looked at Isaac as if he would let him know when to attack. Unfortunately, Isaac was paying to much attention to Leo to even consider Chris' obvious cry for help. Leo simply continued talking.

"I'm going to tell you a small story about my first few months as leader of the Zodiac."

Then Chris was transfixed on his enemy. He was paying more attention to his speech than anything before in his life.

"Let me start with my first huge decision as leader..."

~2 Years Earlier~

Chris, at this time known as Libra, was sitting in a small chair in the middle of the meeting room. The monitors were casting strange shadows about the room. The room only had three other people in it. Leo, Capricorn, and Gemini sat along the wall of monitors. It almost seemed as if Libra was on trial for something.

"I know exactly what you're planning, Leo." Libra crossed his arms in frustration. His eyes kept shifting between Gemini and Leo.

"Oh really? And how exactly would you know that?"
"I overheard Scorpio talking to Gemini about it not that long ago."
"Is that so?" Leo's gaze turned to Gemini for a second and then back to Libra. "That's unfortunate. So why did you call us here for a meeting?"

"I want absolutely no part in your plan to destroy the governments of the world. It's just wrong. People are entitled to the government that they want." His voice began filling with concern. "You can't tear all that apart so that you can have the Zodiac be the only government in this world."

Leo smiled and actually giggled a little. Gemini looked at him and made a dumb face to mock Libra.

"And you!!" Libra pointed at Gemini. "You were my friend. How could you join up with these maggots?"
"You dare call us maggots?!"
"Oh shut your fucking trap!! You've only been leader for what? THREE MONTHS? What gives you the right to come in here and change everything?!"

Leo stood up and stared into Libra's eyes. He looked to Capricorn who nodded in nervous agreement.

"So you want to leave the Zodiac? Follow in the footsteps of Pisces and Sagittarius? The only reason they left is because of the old leader being respectfully dejected from our ranks."

"That's exactly what I want. But I want a normal life back. That's why he's here." Libra then gestured to Capricorn.

"Very well. Capricorn..." He stood and walked to Leo's side. "Wipe his memories of the Zodiac completely. Then replace them with memories of an average everyday life. Make it quick."

Libra stood and began to walk from the room. Capricorn followed in order to carry out his task.

"Oh, and Chris." Leo finally called him by his real name. "I hope I never see your face again."

~Present Day~

"See?" Leo sat back down on his throne.

As he spoke, gaps in Chris' memory had begun to fill in. He remembered the scene so vividly, as if it had really happened. It was by Leo's orders that his memory had been wiped. So part of what Gemini had told had been a lie after all. They had never been and never would be friends.

Isaac seemed ashamed that Leo could answer more of Chris' questions than he could. Then Chris thought of something. It might catch Leo off guard.

"Wait. You said that our original leader was 'respectfully dejected' from the Zodiac. It must be Isaac that you spoke of." He hoped it would cause something in Leo to shake a little. But no dice.

"Indeed it was this traitor that I was talking about." Chris seemed to figure something out. Isaac could only watch as pieces fell into place in his mind.

"But why?" Chris asked the one question that Isaac hoped he wouldn't ask. Isaac knew that Leo would use this to try and turn Chris against him. Shit, don't do it Leo. I'll kill you myself.

"Actually..." A new voice echoed through the room. It was one that they all knew very well. "I can tell you why."

"So you finally decided to join us?" Leo looked to the one corner of the room that the light couldn't touch.

Standing in the corner, were both Gemini and Scorpio.
