Welcome to Creative Media.
This thread is to inform and hopefully answer any of your questions. In here i will be telling you the do's and don'ts of CM,
most of what is in here will already have been written and stickied in other sections, so to save you searching, i'll be posting links here for you.
As with everything there are rules and guidelines you must follow, this is no different in Creative Media. I'll now list helpful thread to
make you a top member and loved by everyone (yeah, just like me.)
Firstly, and most importantly, are the Forum rules. If you haven't already read these, bad you!
http://forums.khinsider.com/foyer/18...ing-guide.html
Digital Media rules and guidelines can be found here:
http://forums.khinsider.com/digital-...-you-post.html
This thread clears up questions about digital art (in particular, tags.) The informations includes ripping other artists work,
FanArt usage and credit, Flaming others, how to handle flaming and spam.
If you have any feeling that someone is ripping anyone else's work, you must report it here (or if you want any more information on this):
http://forums.khinsider.com/digital-...on-thread.html
On a side note about Ripping, this does not concern Sprite rippers or animators.
On to Traditional Media.
http://forums.khinsider.com/traditio...dia-rules.html
This is the sort of information you'll find here; Again, stealing art, flaming, spamming, posting other people's artwork,
a description of dead threads and not to revive them, nudity and how it isn't going to be tolerated and a brief guide
to constructive criticism (more information can be found here):
http://forums.khinsider.com/traditio...s-flaming.html
While i'm here i'd also like to stress an issue that has been plaguing these sections for some time now.
Elitism
No matter how good you consider yourself to be in either art, this will not be tolerated. Posts that abuse another user
while disguised in a constructive manner is still considered Flaming and will be deleted immediately.
On the other hand, some members are harsh with their words, so please be aware that sometimes you will
receive harsh criticism that is only being posted for your own good. If you do disagree with a member that
posted such things, please refrain from arguing, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and when you post your work, you ask for it.
Now i'll post some F.A.Q's to save you from typing (save your energy for the art!)
F.A.Q's
Q: What type of art goes where?
Digital Media: Tags, Digital paintings, Large graphic pieces, AMV's and Sprites.
Traditional Media: Sketches, Music, Paintings, Photography.
The names of the sections are pretty self-explanatory, but i thought i'd clear that up.
Q: How can i get a tag?!
This section isn't only for artists, anyone is free to post. If you are looking for a request, please visit any of the shops
rather than making your own request. If the artist you admire isn't working at a shop, try PM'ing them.
Here is where the shops lay:

Q: Do you hold regular art 'battles'?
Yes. You can challenge other members to an 'art battle' in the "Competitions" section which can be found here:
Competitions - KHInsider Forums
Along with this we hold a weekly (we try) tournament called "Signature Of The Week" Here:
Signature of the Week - KHInsider Forums
As for Traditional Media battles, there's a "Sketch of the week" idea floating about, so hopefully that will be implemented soon!
Q: What is [Sub] and [Dec]?
"Sub" is short for submissions, meaning you post your entry there.
"Dec" is short for declaration, where the voting is held.
Q: I need help designing a tag myself/ I need some good images, where can i find them?

All of your ideas are welcome, it's our job to please you! (i know this is gonna be used against me one day.)

LP: "large piece"
SotW: "Signature of the Week"
Tut: "Tutorial"
Stock: A stock is the images you use in your piece.
BG: "Background"
