Default Should I get Recom
Anyways, does Recom add a lot to the story or am I fine without it. I didn't play the GBA version so I wouldn't know.

You got voice acting and the obvious platforming fun, but if you never played CoM at all the card system might be easier on the GBA first.

Uh, if you want to know why Sora was asleep at the start of KHII and who Namine is and what happened to the mysteriously missing SIX members of the Organization, then yes. I'd get it.

the cutscenes in between floors are the most interesting

Sure, if you want a different battle system and to know why Sora was asleep at the start of KH2. It's pretty good, I liked it myself.

Cool I didn't think it would have all that stuff since the game was originally on the GBA and RECOM is just a port. I'll see if I can find it.

You should denfinently play Re:CoM. You will learn why Sora was asleep for a year, face some Org. XIII member you don't battle in KH2 (not counting KH2FM+), you get to use a new battle system and moves you don't use in KH1 nor KH2, and you get to see the greatest pairing of all! It is worth getting it.
