Music is an important part of our world. It is a way to express ourselves, free ourselves and enjoy ourselves. But it is much more than that. In our world, music is the very core of our lives. We, a small group that live in this world, are known as Vocaloid, and we are considered to be many things. Many may consider us as 'personified music' and some less formally know us as 'music idols'. We live almost as a family, together in a small community outside of a large one. We range in ages, genders and just as humans, we have unique personalities and appearences. Some of us are blood related, some of us are romantically related. We are almost exactly as humans, except for our unbelievable beauty and talent. We are treated as celebrities, and bear the same job. We sing for the world and make others happy. Our music has powers that you wouldn't believe.
But.
There is a threat on the way. For whatever reason, there are Vocaloid unhappy with this life of making others happy. They enjoy using their music for evil. They enjoy inflicting pain on the humans, causing illnesses and emotional sadness. They use their musical powers for the worse, and we intend to stop them. We, the ones they used to call friends and family. We will use our power.
Plot develops as RP moves on.
Oh em gee, is this a Vocaloid RP? Yes, yes it is! Good eye. I've decided to give it a go. This is a canon-only vocaloid roleplay, meaning we will only be RPing using the original Vocaloid characters, aswell as the more popular fanmade ones. You can be a little flexible with the characters' templates, such as age, personality and relationships, but don't stray too far from reality. Kaito isn't going to be someone that shoots people in the face for no reason [unless you take his ice cream or MikuMiku], and Meiko wont be America's Sweetheart.
The setting is on a fictional Earth, more specifically, Japan, where these characters, the Vocaloid, a special and rare species, have extraordinary musical powers to do things such as heal others, and also things such as causing pain. But musical talents aren't the only thing they have to fight with. They have certain "character items" that can be used as weapons. And some characters have everyday talents, such as martial arts, sports, drawing, playing instruments, ect.
The Vocaloid live in a gated community in their own houses with their siblings, and for the younger ones, a school house. They live in the community because they like being close and the paparazzi are forbidden, but also because they feel like outsiders living anywhere else, since they are not human, even if they are accepted. They aren't human, and never will be.
All Vocaloid are born in this community, with the exception for Vocaloid that have yet to be added to the list, and Luka. Please add/edit this to your templates accordingly.

Confused about who the Vocaloid are?
Here's an explination written by Szayel Aporro.
In early 2005, VOCALOID was released, the phenomenon that caused Japan to rave about music singing synthesizing technology. However, it was the characters behind the voices that caused all of the hype. Each software package comes with a face printed on it. The character that is supposedly the one singing the synthesized sound.
VOCALOID is singing synthesizing technology, used with vocal banks from the voices of popular musicians or seiyuu’s (Japanese voice actors/actresses) and have sounds created with altering the vocal tones to create the sound that the user desires to have their character to sing. The voices were all given faces of their own and became quite well-liked by musicians.
Kaito Shion and Meiko Sakine were released to the public first, causing the citizens to go wild, but it wasn’t until the release of VOCALOID2’s ever so popular Miku Hatsune that VOCALOID began to really stand out to the people.
Miku was released alongside Rin and Len Kagamine, and soon after, Luka Megurine and Gakupo and Gumi Kamui.
VOCALOID began to be used by everyone, professional and amateur musicians, from recreating popular songs heard around the world to musical creations of their own. It’s popularity shot up.
Soon after, fanmade counterparts to each of the VOCALOIDs began to come out of the shadows, such as Miku’s brother, Mikuo and Akaito, Kaito’s alter, more devious, personality.
To this day, the VOCALOID software remains exceptionally popular around the world and used by musicians and fans of all kinds. The characters themselves are as popular as their music, if not more, and have gained a large fandom.
And the technology continues to grow to this day, adding characters and improving the sound.
Each character also has a "character item". A trademark food or object belonging to the character. Miku's leek and Meiko's wine bottle are examples.

-No godmodding and powerplaying, ect.
-Please use proper grammar and spelling to the best of your ability
-Swearing is allowed, but nothing extreme and no extreme vulgarity
-Romance is allowed and encouraged, but nothing over PG-13 [Even Canterella didn't actually show anything, and neither should this RP]
-Keep in character inside the roleplay.
