If this wasn't a plan going smoothly, then Gargoylemon didn't know what was. The whole thing was just going according to what Gargoylemon wanted. These 'plans' included getting the weaker children together with each other, and for Gargoylemon to be able to deal with that Caesar brat. If anything, that kid and his coronamon are a nuisance to him.
He knew that the power of that little pest would probably be troublesome for his plans, and thus why he waited until the perfect opportunity to strike. It's true that he might not be attacking Gargoylemon directly, but doesn't mean he can't corrupt a digimon to do his bidding for him. Yes, that is exactly what he's going to do.
Flying around incognito, Gargoylemon found himself a wonderful servant in the form of Stingmon. This bug digimon holds the knowledge of not only File Island, the digital world, but it holds the secrets of the Digivice which Gargoylemon has suspected the stupid teens know nothing about.
From what he saw, Stingmon was walking to some place. Based on the areas, he was nearing The Digivice Temple, which was connected to a part of the island that was a good chuck of Tropical Jungle. Gargoylemon found this interesting.
Stingmon
Walking around Tropic Jungle, Stingmon was wary of his surroundings. He had known of the troubles that File Island has been in, and with the advancements that Gargoylemon had made in his recent attacks, it's no doubt that he wouldn't do anything to discover the truths about the Digivice. This is the exact reason why Stingmon went to go visit an old, and dear friend of his.
Walking into the Digivice Temple that resides on the part of File Island known as Ancient Dino Regions, there lies a deep maze on the way into the heart of the temple guarded by a legendary digimon known for his honor, and just as much for his strength and bravery. This digimon is fierce, yet kind. This digimon is...
"Centarumon! Are you here Centarumon?" Stingmon called out.
Coming out of the shadows, Centarumon appeared behind Stingmon, but Stingmon caught the awareness of his presence.
Startled slightly, Stingmon smiled, "You startled me old friend." Stingmon has his guard down.
"Solar Laser!"
Before he could respond, Stingmon was stricken by the Solar Laser that fired from Centarumon's mechanical hand that launched a yellow laser right at Stingmon. Having catch him so off-guard, Stingmon was more shocked than he would have been if he had known of this betrayal. Because of the strength of the laser, Stingmon was on one knee, favoring his abdomens.
"Why Centarumon? Why?"
Centarumon smiled before a cloud of black smoke appeared in the room. Stingmon couldn't see anything, but something in his gut told him it was bad. It wasn't until a few minutes that the smoke ceased, and before him, Stingmon couldn't believe it.
"Not you, anybody but you.."
