Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | Sign Up & OOC: http://forums.khinsider.com/signup-o...-joinable.html Spoilers – The Backstory, Factions, Rules and Current Cast… (LET'S KICK OFF THIS RP, YA?! Also, THANKS VERY MUCH TO TENYA FOR HELPING ME OUT ON THIS...!!!) It was early in the morning, about, ooh, 7 O'Clock? Garth walked through the quiet streets, thinking quiet thoughts, as he headed towards the main offices of the Legion... *The most beuracratic place in the universe...* he thought, with distaste. He was walking along in his standard outfit, thinking about how the hell he'd wound up with this job. *Because you were broke and following orders is all your good at.* his mind said to him. He honestly wondered if he was going crazy... *GONE crazy is the word, more like...* said his mind, with what seemed like a hint of mockery. Garth shook of the urge to punch himself in the face, anything to get the slightly odd voice to just SHUT UP... meh, it hardly mattered. Dr Mark Hein had assured him he was simply going through a 'rough patch', that was all... *Yeah, like he's going to admit the fact he thinks you belong in a looney bin... you really do deserve it, ya know?* Not this again... *Yes, this again! You honestly think you deserve peace, after what you did?!* Shut up, damn you! Garth didn't need to be thinking about stuff like that, the past was past... what he actually needed was to be thinking about the mission at hand. Or more exactly, WHAT the mission at hand even WAS... the Colonel had simply told him to see him in his office, 7:30 sharp... seriously though, does the guy ever sleep? He wouldn't be surprised if the Colonel forcibly kept himself awake with caffine injections and an alarm clock designed to go off every 10 minutes... *You wouldn't even need that! I do a much better job then 'caffine' or 'alarm clocks'... heh.* Will you just shut up...? *What was that, I can't hear you over the sound of me NOT SHUTTING UP!* Please, stop it... *You don't deserve me to stop it!* "JUST SHUT UP!" he screamed, as he was going up the stairs to the offices. The various workers coming in to start their day, as well as the Marines on guard duty, turned to him, looking at him as if he were nuts... "Um, uh... never mind, uh..." he said quickly, walking along as quickly as he could. Eventually he reached the door to the Colonel's office, where he was sitting patiently... and across him from his desk was a young man, only slightly younger then Garth himself, with spikey orange hair and a Blitzball crooked under his arm... |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() ![]() Level: 31 EXP: | A few birds in the trees chirped, unknowing of what fate had in store for them… BANG, a screech of defeat, BANG, another one down, BANG, last one. Rev jumped down from her own lofty seat down onto the grass below. 3 black and red creatures lay on the ground, a clean hole straight through them. “Darnit, wrong targets. How did I get the wrong frickin’ BIRD?” She was on a mission at the moment, one to find and destroy a certain fowl that was believed to be one of the remnants of the heartless beings of centuries past. In a twist of fate, many of the local birds and flying creatures showed distinct coloration and likeness to that of her target, the only difference being in it’s claws. The local birds had yellow talons, her target had midnight black legs. “Crap, and my time’s running out.” The sun in the distance, barely creeping above the silvered peaks of the mountains, was slowly rising behind the horizon of rising waterfalls and flowing streams. Until sunrise, that was her limit. If she failed, well, there goes more of her standings, whoopdeedoo. They meant little to her, but the fact of the matter was if she dropped too low in the ranks, goodbye Human formed Revenx, hello dusk-hood. She grimaced. Those things weren’t exactly pleasant looking, nor did they have good jobs in the Void. Normally, one of the higher ups would use the things for suicidal missions or simple data recovery. Not nice nor in Revenx’s best interests. Continuing her search, Rev pushed her goggles back over her face. Radiant Garden twinkled beautifully in the dying sunlight. Huge walls surrounded the place with the landmark Castle looming above it all. There was no way a heartless could get in there unseen. So, she was stuck looking out here, the outer limits of the place. A tell-tale flapping noise, along with what sounded like hoarse screeching, sounded from behind her. In one fluent motion, she cocked her gun, turned, and shot down the creature. All sound stopped for a moment and Rev pushed up her goggles for a better look. Bullet hole straight through the head, a zig-zagged shaped maw, and the greatest sign she could hope for. A red heart on it’s chest and midnight-black legs. “YES!” Uncaring of how idiotic she would look, Revenx thrust her arms up into the air and laughed in victory, rifle clattering slightly. Rep Power: 4 ![]() Level: 15 EXP: | The loud stomp of metal boots echoed throughout the small town of Radiant Garden. As a small figure enshrouded by a dark coat emerged, her face was concealed by her hood all but her eyes were visible, from the shadows created by the buildings. Walking by nonchalantly ignoring the calls of curious children and the scolding of the elderly and the mature, then as a small red ball rolled lazily in front of her, she stopped and stared intensely at the ball. Turning to her right as she noticed three young children running towards the ball they stopped once the caught the glare of this woman, or as some would call her a demon. They meekly backed away but one brave child, the leader, stepped forward and approached her. "Ex-excuse me lady!" He declared bravely trying to enunciate the words correctly, "T-that ball, i-it's ours! G-give it back.. Please?" Finishing strongly pointing at the lone and slightly deflated ball. The woman looked down and very slowly and carefully, as if the ball were to leave if she reacted quickly, she grabbed the ball with her small petite hands, appearing larger than usual by her black gloves. Held it up and examined it for a while. Then quickly turning to the child, provoking him slightly, she offered the ball. Eagerly the boy grabbed the boy and caught a quick glance at her face, though her appearance made her seem dark and isolated her face showed a different side of her. She had a very light complexion, but her skin was flawless! Her features were nothing short of divine, the only thing that made the child burrow up his eyes in confusion were her own eyes. They were soft and kind, and a warm feeling overtook him as he looked into them. Then her lips took the form of a small smile and her eyes light up magnificently, "Be careful next time, this ball has been through a lot." She advised quietly, so quietly in fact the boy thought he was imagining things. Then as he regained his composure merely bowed politely and ran off with his friends. "This place is very nostalgic, to the noise, sight and even smell." She quietly said as she continued through the town. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | “Men! Women! Children! The age of darkness is almost upon us! Has someone close to you disappeared? Your children? Or perhaps your grandparents? If the answer to either of these is yes than you are witness to this dark hour approaching! The dark hour that was prophesized years ago! THE DAWN OF DARKNESS!” Caleb watched the man on the soapbox describe all the evil that the dawn of darkness would bring. The man seemed possessed using large hand motions and his eyes practically bulged out of his head as he mentioned the “dawn of darkness”. Caleb found himself nodding his head and shouting agreements with the man, a true follower, he thought. As man finished his speech, the crowd dispersed and only Caleb remained. He walked up to the man and tapped him on the shoulder. “Ah! Caleb,” Said the man smiling, “How’d I do?” “Very… convincing,” Caleb said nodding his head in approval. “Oh come on, you say that to everyone on their first time,” the man said, “Tell me the truth.” “I mean it.” Caleb said shortly. “You did well.” “Good good,” the man said, “So… What's up?” “I’m… uh…” Caleb hesitated, “ I was wondering if you’d take over my duties for a short while… uh… I was about to go speak with the elder priest to see if I could take some time off of my duties and … uh… well I wanted to have someone able to take my spot…for a little bit…” The guy burst out laughing and slapped Caleb on the back, “Of course I’ll do it!” Caleb smiled and nodded, “OK”. As Caleb walked away the man called out to him. “Oh and Cal… loosen up! You make a guy feel like he’s about to die.” Caleb smiled and kept walking. He arrived at the elder priest’s office and knocked on the door. “One moment,” came a cracked elderly voice. As he waited he overheard the priest giving orders to someone. “Yes, yes! I know… but don’t kill him. We want him on our side so we need something to encourage him to stay.” “Yes sir, I won’t mess up” Caleb stepped back as the door opened and a fellow female follower exited. As Caleb walked past her he could feel her cold glare on him. He brushed it off and awaited the priest’s attention. “Caleb!” The priest said as he turned around, “what brings you here my son?” “Elder Thax, I… I’d like to request a short leave on personal business…” Thax looked at Caleb and smiled a very plastic smile, “Of course my boy.” Caleb looked at the old man astonished that he agreed so quickly. “I know how much you need a break my son. Go ahead!” Caleb smiled and quickly stood up. “Thank you sir!” He said bowing and turning on his heels to walk out. “Oh by the way, Caleb?” The priest said, a small chuckle in his voice, “May I ask where you’re going?” Caleb froze in his tracks and closed his eyes in agony. DAMN IT! I was so close to the door…he thought. “I just need a vacation,” He lied, “something to get my mind off of the darkness.” Thax smiled another one of his fake smiles and said, “Oh ok good, also if you see your Godfather… Send him my regards.” As Caleb left he could hear Thax laughing maniacally. Shit, he thought. Last edited by Kibamaru18; October 29th, 2009 at 06:50 AM. |

I've had to deal with these creatures attacking me in my sleep, and thus I always end up not getting enough sleep. He decided to go check out the ruins of the old castle and continue to explore them as he always did after school... |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() Level: EXP: | The sun's rising... he looked up to the sky from the edge of a castle window watching the golden orb giving rise to shine upon the denizens of this world. His armor clad on... his keyblade fresh with blood, it was clear that his attention was not on the sunrise's calm gaze. But instead on the cold night... the cold night of his recent kill. Everyone knew who he was. He was a victim of betrayal, a product of rage, a servant of the dead innocents. People would often retreat to their homes at nights to avoid his nightly scoutings, while those unfortunate to be there would either experience fear or death at the hands of this keyblade wielder. Yes, everyone knew him and everyone would fear him. The Followers of Light and the Encroaching Darkness find him as one of their most dangerous threats while the Gathering Void view him as an interesting Enigma. He leapt from the castle window to the gravel pavement. With his keyblade in hand, he resumed his self-assumed duty of finding and executing the "criminals". As he walked, the people around him began to cower and later on sigh in relief as he took no notice of them... most likely that he finds them innocent. Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | Caleb walked slowly throughout Twilight Town. He was still amazed at how Elder Thax knew about his reason for leaving. He shook his head and brushed it off. Not something to dwell on, he thought as he walked towards his godfathers house. He walked through a small alley way and noticed a spot with a gate. Hmm, he thought, I don't think I've ever seen this place before. He walked through the gate and into a little dead end spot with some boxes. "Wow," He said out loud, "This place looks old." As he looked into some of the boxes he heard something behind him. As he turned around an odd white creature lunged at him. Caleb quickly ducked and the creature hit the wall. It looked possessed as it contorted and bent in ways a normal person would be able to. Its mouth consisted of a zipper of some sort and as it looked at Caleb it began to unzip on its own. "What the-" Caleb exclaimed. As the creature opened its mouth no sound came out. This doesn't look good, Caleb thought and quickly turned to leave. At the door stood another of the creatures contorting in the same fashion as the other. Dammit, Caleb thought and tried to find a new route of escape. He was trapped. The creatures began to close in on him and as they got into touching distance Caleb shouted, "FIRE!" and a large wall of fire shot up from the ground and consumed the creatures. As the fire dissipated he was the only person left. He let out a sigh of relief and then an old man walked in. "What are you doing in my home?" the man said. Caleb looked at him surprised and ran out towards his godfathers house. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() ![]() Level: 31 EXP: | Rev wasn't all too sure of what she should do now. There was no 'heart' to collect as proof from this one. Hmm... She scratched the back of her head. "This thing's taking forever to disappear..." Being somewhat nonchalant about it, she kicked the creature in the side of the head. Something that was supposed to be made from bad feelings in people. Pretty dang weird. Causing her to jump back, the black and red creature snarled and flapped it's wings. "H-How're you still alive!?" Not caring for an answer, she went on to shoot the thing yet again. Black talons flailed and made to scrape at her, but she leapt back. Her aim was being thrown off by it's thrashing. "HOLD STILL DARN YOU!" The jagged maw opened wide and made to grab her gun, reacting fast, Revenx knocked it with the butt of the rifle and then shot it dead center. The wings spread out in defeat and the body crashed into the ground once more. Just in case, Rev kicked it once more. Deader then a dead dead-guy. "After that little show, you're coming with me. Ugly little..." Grabbing it by a feathered wing, she looked at it with disdain. How can something like this cause so much trouble? In fact, why were these things even important to the research? Eh, it wasn't her problem... Placing her hand out in front of her, a black portal appeared. No way am I carrying this... Tossing her target in first, she wiped her hands off on her cloak. "Rotten, nasty, black stuff. Ick." Walking in, the portal closed behind her. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | Tsuki looked up at the sky it was a nice blue here in Radiant Gardens, not noticing anything other than the sky she triped over a rock and fell flat on her face. "Stupidlegs!" She yelled. 'I want to be back at home...' She thought to herself but then she remembered why she was here... to save her brother. She supposed she had better ask questions. She walked down some stairs and around a corner and found a quaint little square and there was an old house with a purple/blue hat? She walked up some more stairs and into a bailey. She had yet to come across any one... She looked out a window in the bailey and saw a guy walking towards a castle. "HEY!" She yelled out to him and waved dramatically, trying to get his attention. |

He walked through a crubling entrance to a passage that he liked to continue to search through, He had obtained skills that allowed people to do more than expected...in gym class today he finally mastered to glide under normal conditions of gravity, and he also learned skills that allowed him to move at a quicker pace, jump on air, and jump even higher without increasing pressure on his leg's muscles. Coming to this passage was a constant test to him. and he liked challenges. He leaped amoung moving pistons that amazingly still worked even though such a long time has passed between times other explorers in the past days.... Now, Squall was probably the only one who explored these ruins. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | After a couple minutes, Caleb realized that he could stop running. He leaned against the immobile trolley to catch his breath. As he looked around he noticed the marketplace was pretty empty. I wonder where everybody is, he thought. He got up and began to walk towards his Godfathers house. He finally got to it and knocked on the door. No answer. He tried again and still no answer. He finally just tried to open the door. It was unlocked. When he walked in he noticed a note on the table. It had the Followers of Light insignia on it. Caleb quickly picked it up and read it: Caleb, Treason is not acceptable amongst our ranks. Treason is punishable by death. The Followers As Caleb put the note down he was shaking. He quickly turned around to run out the door but there stood the girl from Elder Thax's office and she had Caleb's godfather. "LET HIM GO!" Caleb yelled unsheathing his sword and running towards her. As he was about to slash her she, in one swift move, unsheathed her sword and deflected the blow and pushing Caleb behind her. He watched as she took the sword and ran it across his godfathers neck, killing him. She dropped him and then turned to face Caleb. "Its your turn," She said running towards him. He turned on his heels and ran out the door. She followed and looked around. "LIGHTINING!" He yelled and multiple bolts of lightning began to strike her simultaneously. She simply stood there, her eyes getting wider with hatred. "What the-" He yelled as she ran towards him again unphased by the attack. She lifted her blade to attack him and as she did he used a reflega spell blocking the attack and reflecting it back. She flew back and into the wall. Holy crap, he thought, imagine if i had gotten hit by that! She slowly got up and he ran away towards the boarded up fissure in the wall casting a Blizzara spell on the wood and running through it. He looked back and noticed she was no longer behind him. What- He thought and then turned around to see that she was in front of him. She kicked him in the stomach and sliced a hearty chunk out of his arm. He fell to the ground and as she ran towards him he yelled, "BURN!!!" And fire surged from the ground around him consuming most of the forest he was in including the girl. He limped towards the other end of the forest holding his wound and fainting from loss of blood. Rep Power: 3 ![]() Level: EXP: | Fire. Iudex thought to himself as he noticed smoke coming from the nearby forest. Deciding to deal with the passeby another time, he continued his stroll to where the smoke was coming from. A few minutes later, he arrived at his destination, noticing that fire had seemingly died down, now reduced to nothing but a small ember. He continued walking, kneeling down for a quick second to pick up something with his fingers. Blood, he looked up and noticed the trail leading to the other end. He walked, following the trail... leading to the source, a boy lying on the ground, bleeding. He took a step closer and stood there, staring down at the down person. This person... Caleb was it? Yes it, was Iudex knew Caleb during his time as a Follower of Light. They weren't close but to say the least they could consider each other... "friends"... but that was then, this is now. Iudex wondered for a minute how he and Caleb would react to each other now that they were enemies. He raised his keyblade, preparing to make the unconscious Follower spill his own blood for the last time. However before he could pierce Caleb's face, he hesitated. Why did he hesitate, sure he did the only other time... however in this case, he couldn't put his finger to it, but there was a feeling that tingled in Iudex's sense. The feeling... of betrayel? Growing ever more curious, he instead readied his keyblade and executed a Cura spell. With the victim's wounds fully healed, Iudex stood there as he waited for Caleb to stir, it was now only a matter of minutes for the Follower to regain consciousness. He'd wonder how Caleb would react when standing before him would be the "Rogue Executioner". Last edited by Arcanum Noir; November 1st, 2009 at 09:39 PM. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | Jacob was just siting there in his desk and chair thinking about the other day.The ceremony of one of his subordinates and close friends. He had been promoted to another squad. Sure it made Jacob sad to think about how his friend had left, bu he was in a better squad. His feet were up on the desk, and he took them down to get at his paper work. He had so much more paper work then most of the Colonels because he had to do more to prove himself. He sighed, he liked being on missions more than assigning them and reading about them. The field was so much more interesting. He began to day dream about going on his next assignment when he was interrupted by his secretary. "Sir?" "Hmm?" "You have an assignment." In his head he was laughing at how the world worked. He got up to get the file from her. She gave it to him, smiled and left. He looked from where she had been to the document. It had been printed with a thin piece of tape, so it was important. He tore off the tape and began to read the assignment. He read it and he understood what he had to do. He closed it and got his paper work gathered up to give to his secretary to turn in. As he left his office he handed it to her. "Good luck." She smiled sweetly at him. "Thanks." He smiled back. This mission wasn't a happy one but he took his orders as they were assigned.Apparently someone was murdering people in Twilight Town , a old man had been killed and his grandson is claimed missing. He sighed, he never did like these cases. These were the ones that either end up as the grandson being dead and we find the killer or he's alive but the killer is dead. He didn't need a team for this one case. But he hoped that maybe something interesting would happen. Sometimes these cases would lead to the Followers of Light but it was dropped due to the lack of evidence. He never did like the Followers and did not tolerate them, due to them claiming that the end of all the worlds was coming. He sighed as he walked down the corridor that lead him to his gummi ship. It was one of the best in the fleet. He had obtained it through his promotions. He climbed into the cockpit and started the engine. He then headed towards Twilight Town to start his case work. As he traveled through the universe he wondered about how he could finish this case up. He got there in about a half hour. He looked around. This place hadn't change over the last 2000 years. It changed as technology advanced, but the feeling of the Town was still there. He headed towards the crime scene hoping to find a clue. |
