Caleb

The image played over and over again in his head. The girl running her blade across godfathers neck and the pool of blood on the floor. She is dead, He thought. Everything was black and he couldn't hear a thing. The floor felt cold and made him itchy. Grass? He thought, trying to remember what had happened. I was in the forest... and then... the girl ... the girl was fast. How did she get in front of me...and why didn't my thundaga have any effect on her. He felt the cold sting of death slowly creeping over his body.

Then almost instantaneously a small bit of warmth starting in his arm and flowing throughout his body began to overtake the coldness. He could feel his fingers, and his arm. "MY ARM!" He exclaimed sitting up quickly and feeling his arm for the wound. What, i'm alive? He thought looking at his arm. He followed the trail of blood with his eyes and noticed feet in front of him. His gaze shot up to the person face as his heart sunk into his body.

Why couldn't I just die, he said as he looked up at the former Follower of Light, Iudex. The "Rogue Executioner" stood before him keyblade in hand. Caleb sat still for a moment and looked for a route of escape. Dont even try it, He told himself, maybe he'll understand what happened and let you free.

After a moment, Caleb, trying his hardest to not sound scared shouted, "IUDEX! Long time no see!" His voice cracked. Damnit, he thought.

Elder Thax
Elder Thax strolled throughout the Followers of Light Temple. Noticing the sun was almost set he made his way to the top of the temple. As he climbed the stairs he began to think about his day, about his interactions with different people and how they would interact with others. He remembered the one follower Caleb, whom he released a death order on for treason. Foolish boy, he thought as he opened the door that lead to the roof, treason will not be acceptable under my rule.

As he walked over to the edge he noticed the smoke from the forest and began to laugh quietly. Looks like Shi has accomplished her task, he thought laughing maniacally. The sun slowly descended peeking over the Twilight Mountains and disappearing until the next day. Thax sighed as slowly sat down on one of the benches on the roof.

The door from which he entered from opened and a woman clad in all white and a shroud over her face appeared. She spotted Thax and walked over to him, whispering something in his ear. “WHAT?” he shouted quickly standing up, “What do you mean Shi is dead?”

“She was presumably killed in the fire that you see,” She said pointing towards the forest.

“Who? Do you know who killed her?” He asked trying to calm himself.

“We assume it is Caleb, although we are unsure because Iudex is somewhere out there and no soldiers want to risk begin killed,” She said.

“I will go,” He said, “retrieve for me five other followers, it’s time that ‘rogue executioner’ learned to fear the Followers of Light!”

He walked swiftly down the stairs and into his changing room. When he finally opened the door he was dressed in the attire of a normal follower. Five followers were waiting at his door, most of them looked as if they had fighting experience. “Let us go my children!” He ordered, “We will split up and ambush Iudex and if he has not already, we will kill Caleb! Remember: We will be going all out against Iudex, he is very skilled but I am stronger!”

“Yes sir!” they all replied simultaneously.

He walked out the door and headed towards the forest.

"Zell!!! We have to hurryup and get to Radiant gardens! We are almos tout of steaks!!!" "Quit your whining I'm having fun blasting these stupid heartless to bits! Maybe you should join in on the action?" "Did i say steaks? I meant we are now all out of HOT DOGS and we need to get to Radiant Gardens to get more!!!" "What no hot dogs!?!?!?!? I can't go with out those!!! Ok to Radiant Gardens we go!!!" Hehit the warp button and they went straight to Radiant Gardens. He parked their ship outside and they were teleported to the top of the castle and they were going to race down like they always do.

"Alright Zell... On your marks. Get set..." "I need my hot dogs!!!" Zell had taken off without Zidane saying go. "I didn't say go!!! I didn't say go!!!" Zidane was lagging behindthis time because of Zell's false start. He finjally caught up to Zell who had ran into a wall and fell on the floor. "You should have waited!!!" Zidane stuck his tounge out at Zell and tried to run down the flight of stairs to his right but Zell grabbed his foot. "Not soi fast!!! I'm getting those hot dogs first!" A group of shadow demons were at the bottom of the stairs, and Zell had jumped over Zidane and made it down first. "Zidane... We have company!" Zell punched and kicked his way through. He had diminished all of the shadow demons in front of him, but as he did that more came from behind him. Zidane then flew down the steps and took them all out. "I got your back!"

The duo were making there way down and they knew that they were almost there. Zell looked at Zidane and said, "You know we are still racing right?" "Oh yea don't think i forgot! Meo Twister!!!" Zidane had entered transe mode and shot his daggers back destroying the shadow demons chasing them. While Zell Divided the shadow demons waiting on the second level. " Grand lethal!!!" Zidane shot through his side of the shadow demons and left Zell. Zell had just finished the first wave. He had three more to go.

"Thats not fair! Punch Rush! Mach Kick! Punch Rush! Meteor Strike!" His combos were flying while the shadow demonss were being destroyed by his immense power. "Burning Rave!!!" He punched himself through the ground and created a shockwave that destroyed the shadow demons and halted Zidane. He smirked at Zidane and then ran to the entrance. As soon as he was about to leave he ran into some guy. Zidane jumped over them both and yelled, "Victory!!!"

Looking to her left she noticed two oddly animated people were over there, they seemed.. Happy. A feeling she hadn't felt in a while, she wanted to circle around them but she had no choice but to cut straight through. Walking towards them obscuring her face with her chin high collar and large straw hat she tried to be as invisible as she could be. Walking directly past them she sighed in relief, they weren't threats per se, but she didn't want to draw attention to herself. Though in retrospect a large black coat and a straw hat doesn't exactly scream incognito.

"Hey you..." Zidane was talking to the wierdo in the straw hat, "What are you doing around here? This is a docking area for the Followers of Light? Do you hold an alliance with any of the groups?" Zell was still stunned and on the ground he looked back to see a wierd figure but it was upside down. He stood up and punched the guy he ran into, "Jerk!" Then he walked up to the figure in the black coat,and put his hand on its sholder, "Whats your name? Are you lost? You look kinda weird in this big black coat. Especially when its about 95 degrees out here. Why don't you take that off and show me your face?"

Keeping her head down she refused to make eye-contact. They seem concerned.. I figure some acceptance will be all right Looking up from her collar, she slightly pulled up her hat to reveal her face. She revealed her bright blue eyes, her expression might confuse the man, she appeared a bit concerned, but still held an intense stare, and her indifferent expression was mixed in. And though she only revealed 1/4 of her face it was enough, she showed her perfect, flawless skin, and she appeared angelic in nature.

Quickly however, she pulled down her hat and bowed her head. Shaking her head at his comment she walked away from him, shaking off his hand.

"Who were they?" "I don't know but i think im in love!" "It's a girl? Hey no fair you got the last princess!?!?!?" "Nope i saw her first. She's mine" "You also lost the race! She is mine""Fine you can have her. Im going to talk to this wierdo who ran into me." Zell walked upto the guy on the ground "you gotta name ?"Zidane ran to the girl. "Hey my names Zidane. Why won't you talk? Is there something wrong?"

Squall looked around to find that a girl had followed him to the ruins and Jumped down onto the same ledge right beside her. "You alright? You shouldn't be here unless you posess the skills I have." Squall picked her up and glided out of the shaft with her in his arms. Squall could carry her because he was one of the most fit kids at his school.
He put her on her feet and looked at her saying: "Why were you trying to follow me?"

Looking at the kid she rolled her eyes, though he couldn't see it, why would someone who just met her be so concerned of her? "Miyuki... That is all the information I will give you. Now, leave before you are hurt." If they learn of her alignment Miyuki won't be in trouble, poor Zidane would be.

Jacob sighed as he saw a few people on his way out. From the looks of it two of them were followers of light. He knew this was their docking bay but he had to find something as a clue. First he thought to interview some people. He sighed. He never did like talking to people about death, what with the Followers of Light preaching about people all dying. We all grow up and die, but these people think that we are going to die from what was know as the apocalypse. He sighed there was nothing in this town that would provoke someone to commit murder. This town was too peaceful. Why would a murderer come here? It was these questions that Jacob had to answer. He had to think about everything that ha happened to this case in the last 24 hours. The old man was the grandfather of a follower of light. Apparently someone had come to his house, but soon left with the door wide open. That was something that was too odd. Why would a murderer leave his victims home wide open? Then it was the old man himself. He had been killed by a sharp object, mostly a knife of some sort. The cut was too deep for the old man to live from. This was someone who had killed before. Then it came to him. This must of been an assassination attempt on the grandson. But it showed that he had a clean slate. No crimes of any sort. This Caleb kid was clean, but his history as family goes was a bit unclear. He sighed. Another dead end. He decided to go and see the crime scene for himself. He followed the police tape to the scene. There was defiantly a struggle that had happened. He looked to where the blood went. There was two trails, one from the dead man, the other leading off somewhere. According to the report the blood was a trail that was to mislead us.
"Man this case is going to take a while." He said aloud to at least hear his own voice.

"Me? Get hurt? Ha! I am Zidane Tribal a quick and nimble thief such as myself would never get caught or hurt!!!" He said this with a big smile. He had full confidence in his skills and didn't really think there was anyone here in the world that could beat him. "Why are you soanti-social. I just wanna talk. Who knows, maybe we can become good friends... Or more hahaha!" He was teasing her and flirting with her, but instead of taking the subtle approach he went full speed ahead! "So how much longer do i need to follow you for you to talk to me more? You don't seem like the type of girl that would get lost... Youmust be here on a mission! Who do you work for? I'm with the Followers of Light!" He said that with a big smile and did a big heroic pose. "Come on if that didn't make you talk then i don't know what will..."


Zell watched the kid jump of the side of the cliff. "Well if you hate life that much then i guess you can do as you please..." He looke over to see a girl lying on the ground. He still wanted to know more about this guy so he jumped down with him, "Hey i believe i was talking to you! You don't just run into somebody in the middle of a race. You owe me something seeing as how your the reason I lost, and i was about to beat that little punk. So, who are you and what were you doing at the castle?"

Elder Thax
Thax finally reached the hole in the forest and noticed that his men were already scouting the it. As far as he knew, Caleb was strong in magic but not strong enough to burn down an entire forest, at least not yet. He ran his hand along one of the trees. The bark crumbled under the light pressure. As he walked deeper into the forest he noticed the blood on the ground and then footsteps behind him. He hid and behind one of the trees using a cloaking spell.

An Ultima Legion soldier walked past him and deeper into the forest. What is he doing here, Thax thought. The soldier walked deeper into the forest and Thax dispeled the cloak. He followed him making sure not to be heard or seen.

"Man, This case is going to take a while," Thax heard the soldier say.

"Aero," Thax whispered and a small wind rustled the leaves in a direction that the soldier was looking. That should keep him busy, Thax said signalling one of his men.

"Keep an eye on this one," Thax said, "He may be trouble."

Jacob looked around. He thought he had heard something but it was just the wind. He searched the area again making sure that he was all alone. Just in case he took out his favorite pistol just to make sure. This case might of just got more interesting he thought. as he searched he knew he wasn't going to find anyone so he put his pistol back inside its place. He then turned around to go back to the area. He looked around. Who ever did this was a preety decent magician, he began to look at each of the trees. He looked at one spot specifically. It had been touched recently and it was covered in blood, most likly the suspect or the grandson.
"How is it that someone that was so close to death escape?" He said aloud. He began to think and lean against the tree. It instantly made him fall down to the ground.
"Dam!" He had fallen down, what an idiot he was. But luck was on his side. He had found what appeared to be an id.
"Caleb.." The name was the same as the file had read. But as he read more he found out that Caleb was a member of the FoL. This was a reason for murderer! Perhaps Caleb had done something like treason amongst their ranks. In that case the idea of the assassination attempt was plausible. He read the id card, and put it in his bag for evidence. Finally he might be able to put some blame on the FoL for actually trying to kill someone. He began to smile. He might even get a promotion because of this! His smile then turned into laughter as he headed back to report his findings.

Sighing as the boy persisted she gave in. Removing her strawhat and unbuttoning her collar she showed her face in full, "I am a part of the Encroaching Darkness. Once again, I implore you; leave me or you will be injured." She said finally then placing back her strawhat and walked away, hopefully the fool will listen.

Tsuki had been picked up by the boy she was going to kick and scream making the largest scene ever but she didn't have any energy. 'You shouldn't have followed me, why did you." Tsuki looked up at him and smiled. "I thought you were good looking..." She smiled stepped to the right of him and then took her serious expression. "I was calling to you from that window!" She pointed to the bailey. "You ignored me and then I had to climb all the way down there! I need to ask you about some strange disappearances..." Her eyes nearly wellled with tears, she didn't want some annonymous guy seeing her cry. She had just totally told him he was cute... which wasn't a total lie but she wasn't really interested, she just liked playing with her cards. He lookedat her weirdly, she did just yell at him. She sat down her legs hurt like hell.

Zidane still had a smile on his face when she told him her information. "Hahaha well at least we're getting somewhere! Wait... You said the!!!" His eyes had widened and he summoned his weapons immediately. "This is a restricted area for the Followers of Light any trespassers of any other affiliations must be captured or destroyed. You can either obey and come nicely or you can be forced to come!!!" Now in his fighting stance he had destroyed a pillar beside him. He was trying to trigger Zell to come up.

Zell heard the pillar fall and he looked at the two love birds and jumped back up to the castle level. "What the hell is going on? You can't flirt with one girl without destroying something?" "You failed to mention she was part of the ED!" "What are you talking about? I don't know anything but since you told me that..." Zell tightened his gloves and then prepared for a battle. "This is a restricted area for the Followers of Light. Any trespassers of any other affiliation will be captured or destroyed. So you have two options. Come with us or leave in a bag. Which one pretty lady?" They both were in a stance for speed and strength. "Listen lady i don't have time for games so if you think you can take us both then please be my guess..."
