Destiny Islands Academy [Kingdom Hearts HS] Roleplay Thread

[Nami]

In response to Shiro, Nami smiled. She hadn't thought much of her name. Especially not of the person who'd named her. She slid down the side of the wall and sat next to her newfound friend, looking out with her heightened senses to see all of the students, trying to figure the place out. Some of them had found windows like she had, and some were resorting to fire. There were even a select freak few that were praying to the lightbulb god.
... Okaaaay?

Sophomore?, eh? Nami leaned on her knees as she sat, which were propped up against her chest.
"I'm a Senior," She replied, tapping her feet lightly out of boredom. She yawned widely. When she woke up this morning, she had been expecting a boring day. Instead, she got a fight, a science conspiracy and a lock down. She glanced at her watch. It was nearing the end of the fourth period. Jesus. They better get out before 3:00 or someone was going to pay.

The neko leaned back against the wall, and looked over at the black-haired boy next to her to spark a conversation. He didn't seem to be the chatty type himself.
"Where'd you move from?"

Zakai blinked his deep green eyes. He had guessed right. Xenjin was afraid of the dark. It was no big deal to him, seeing as he preferred dark to light, but he supposed it bothered some people, not knowing what was in the shadows. He would write this down, but his hand was occupied and the light wasn't bright enough.

"It wont," he replied. "It's full of fuel, and besides, these kinds can last for hours."
He looked around at the manic.

In frusteration, Xion ruffled her hair.
"Has anyone thought. To use their KEYBLADES. On the LOCKED doors?!" She huffed to her fellow gang members.
It was fairly obvious that all you needed was a key to unlock a locked item. And there were a LOT of kids with keyblades here. She sighed. She was one of them, but she should'n't've been the only one to think of it.

Rio nodded. Having her large blue eyes scope the area, though, she wasn't able to scope much. The hall way was long and dark, no windows on either of the walls, and no emergency lights.
Some high tech school this was.

"OW!" Rio suddenly shouted, falling to the floor. "W-what the hell was... was that?" She had felt something brush against her foot, and then scratched at it. Now, her ankle was practically throbbing from the pain.
She couldn't even see the damage done. Stupid school. Stupid power.
Now she could be bleeding to death and she wouldn't know. "Axel... did... you scratch me?"

"Hold on, hold on. I got it." Zexion took his cell phone again and held it up in front of Vexen's face, only to have it vibrate violently in the young scientist's hand.
"Oh. Got a text. One second please~" He said, in a rather elegant fashion.
It was from Axel.
'the hell did u do??
fix it.'
"..." The silver haired boy sighed and flipped his phone up to reply, "Just... having some difficulty with the power. Not sure why the power chords are next to the water valve though. Fixing it as I type~"
"Kay. So... How are we gonna get to the other side of the school with Principle Goofy tracking the halls..." As if Vexen knew the answer.

Roxas looked back at Sakura, though, he wasn't able to see her, he was definitely able to sense her fear. "Everything's gonna be fine, okay Sakura? I won't lie to you. Especially on the first day of knowing you. Aha..."
He wondered if there were any heartless around, now. They loved the darkness...

"Damit." Sasuke answered angrily. He couldn't think of anything. He decided better to go back and hang out with the people he knew. At least that way he could do something. As he got up to leave, he heard foot steps again. This time he knew who it was.
"Hi Sir." He bowed respectfully to the vice principle.
"Gwarsh, Sasuke you shouldn't jump out like that." vice principle goofy replied.
"I'm sorry sir I was trying to find a way to fix the lights but I can't." Sasuke bowed even lower.
"Well gwarsh that is going to be hard. Hooohohoh." for some reason the vice began to laugh. He was always like this, his name should prove it.
"Anyway I'm going back to where I was before." Sasuke said a little anxiously.
"Okay. See you in the dark later. Or the light." The vice began to laugh again and walked away. Sasuke couldn't believe his luck. At least the vice was a nice guy. He made a small torch and headed back towards the cafeteria.
"Well if I couldn't fix that, maybe I can fix why Ciralars and that other kid are acting so weird." He said a little too loud. He sighed as he found the cafeteria, and began to search for the pair.

[Tenyasyugan]

The entire group looked at Xion. "Well, don't blame us! I for sure don't know how those things work." Demyx saw little pinpoints of light pop up around the room and desperately wanted to get near one. Larxene's sparking was nice but dangerous.

Saix, in his monotone voice, replied to the girl, "Won't work. The principal knew for a fact he'd be having Keyblade wielders so he proofed the doors against them. Didn't want a certain brunette barging through the school at night. If you want them open, then you're better off smashing the door then unlocking it."

Larxene was twirling her hair, now bored with the situation. "Pff, figures."

Ciralars didn't like the feeling she was getting... She was getting so many at once, she didn't know what to do. Fear for the dark and what she thought was in it, longing for someone she barely knew, and now just an inner discomfort with a person who was trying to be nice to her. And Tsuki! Did she manage to get in before the school shut-down? Cira sure hoped she did... Ven was getting a wierd vibe from the hall. Not wanting to startle Cira, he didn't summon his keyblade. But there was something in here now. The heartless in Destiny Islands were alot different from the unverse he was used to fighting. They always came out when it was dark, and you least expected it. Unverse waited for someone to doubt themselves or have a poor thought then burst in to make it worse.

Two yellow eyes peered from the dark. A slight skittering sound and Ciralars gave a start when she spotted movement. "V-ven... I think there's something following us."

Right, now he should take out his blade. "Don't worry, if it's a shadow I can easily handle it." In a flash of light, he was wielding his keyblade and in the sudden brightness, he spotted the heartless. It was NOT a shadow.

Vexen gave an impatient sigh as Zexion stopped the scientist from further movements so as to check his cell. Texting quickly, the violet haired boy didn't pay much attention to the world until he finished and looked up, asking, "Kay. So... How are we gonna get to the other side of the school with Principle Goofy tracking the halls..." Vexen glared at the boy.

"Am I the only one with any sense at all? You have a brain don't you?" Mumbling in agitation, the teenager took out a folded piece of paper from one of his pockets. It was a map of the school, like any other you'd find in an office or you'd get at the start of the year. "You see where the office is? The most direct path is down the western hallway. That's the path the Vice took. WE'RE going to be going down this hall. " He jabbed at a twisting line with many turns that was their chosen route.

Tsuki gave up banging and decided since that lazy ignorant guy wasn't going to help maybe she should get the police? Or maybe not... they may be handling it good in there. She looked at her ipod... sh*t low battery, she groaned as she turned it off. Or maybe... she could have some fun... she looked all around the school but couldn't see any windos that she could break... hmmm.

She pulled her headphones off her ears and extended them putting them around her waist. Luckily she wanted to be a machanic she liked to tinker with things she did up her belt/headphones and pulled out her long cable/ear phone cord and attached it to her belt then through the other end up onto the roof latching it onto the air conditioning... checking if it was secure she started the climb.

"So what now!?" Rikku yelled and folded her arms. "stupid doors wont open and were stuck here!" She couldn't really see any one but she could tell that they were annoyed by her whining. She looked up and could see a tiny little sky light enough to sqeeze through...

[Miku]

"Ugh! I give up!"
Ammy slumped down to the ground in frustration. She'd been hitting the lock for around 5 minutes and it still wouldn't open.

By this time, Kairi had made a big ol' dent in the door she'd been bashing. About to swing the Keyblade once more, she thought of something.
"Keyblade... Key... Door...! Why didn't I think of this sooner?" she said, giving herself a facepalm.
She held the Keyblade in front of her. It glowed and the door shot open, before she ran through it.

Yuffie looked around for a second... well, tried to look anyway.
"I can't see a thing!" she said, pacing in the darkness.

Sae continued cautiously walking through the black corridor, stretching her hands out in front of her. She hoped she wouldn't hit anyone, but if she did, it would be their fault for walking into her.

Yae picked herself up from the stair and rubbed her chin. She took a quick glance around, then slowly walked upstairs.

[Disc Jockey]

Sarah sat in the rusty old van as her mother, smoking a cigarette, drove to the school.

It's been so long. I probably don't remember anybody, my slate's basically been wiped clean, her thoughts flew. All last year was relaxation to some people, but to Sarah, last year was mindless hours of withdrawals. Nobody to hold her close and tell her it would be okay. Just a nurse dressed in white to tell her what to do.

"Relax," she says, "Go swimming." But they both knew Sarah wouldn't. Her scars held her from wearing a swimsuit.

Back in the van, Sarah twiddled her thumbs in an attempt to breathe. Her thick coat of mascara stuck to her eyelids when she blinked.

"Sarah," her mother grunted, "We're almost here. Get out, I got a meeting with Uncle Joe." Uncle Joe. Do I look like I'm twelve? Sarah watched out the window as the van rumbled to the entrance of the academy.

Destiny Islands Academy, the large sign read.

Sarah opened the door, stepped out, and fixed her outfit: skin-tight jeans and a low-cut blue tanktop. Although her life has turned one-hundred eighty degrees, her fashion did not.

She turned around and watched her mother drive away, leaving Sarah by her lonesome.

Taking one long breath of air, she spoke out loud. "I swear, I will become new. I'm leaving the old me, no more pressure, no more drugs, no more sex; at least not until I'm married. I am saying goodbye to the old Sarah, and I am renewing myself with nothing but good grades and a goal to stay strong and become successful. This is it." Sarah took one step up to the big door, and opened it.

Zexion squinted at the map, looking at it carefully. He might've been a little crazy but he did know how to read one. Between him and himself, he just loved making Vexen go crazy.
"Okay, sounds easy. So... we sneak through the door... on the other side of the valve... creative. Stupid people who designed the school." He muttered, standing up, keeping his cellphone opened to keep the light going.
The silver haired teenager figured that he and Vexen were both thin enough to slide to the other side of the room to go out the door. "And how do we know that there's not somebody standing outside? If you ask me, we're totally screwed."
He paused.
"Let's do it."

[Tenyasyugan]

"Alright then!" Rolling up the paper, Vexen tucked it back into his pocket. The wall the control panel [now destroyed and strewn with ash] was attached to gave a sharp turn leading to a small path that led to the back hall. It was a really old one, once used for some illegal acts back when the school was an abandoned lot. Vexen squeezed through, getting dirt onto his white coat, and ended up in a rather narrow pathway. It was pitch black. "Zexion! Hurry it up! You do remember how to cast a fire spell, correct? We need the light if we want to keep the shadows at bay."

It's yellow eyes stared at the two figures. It could only really see thier heartbeats, not what exactly the two looked like, but the limited sight was enough for it to launch. Ven knocked the creature back, striking it's head with his keyblade. Ciralars fell back onto the ground, startled by the sudden attack and loosing her footing in the dark. It was an Illuminator heartless and how it got in, well, it must've been due to the darkness that had taken over the inside. "Head over to one of the classrooms, there're some just ahead."

"O-ok!" She got up onto her feet and ran rather blindly ahead. If there were classrooms up ahead, that meant there were windows with some kind of light. And better yet, people that could help with the heartless problem. The illuminator scraped the wall and hissed. With Cira going off ahead, Ven could be free to demolish this thing. Side-stepping quickly [almost tripping blindly] he caught the creature by it's tail and forced it to the ground. Now helpless, it was extinguished immediately.

Ciralars, with her guardian cat missing and the direction sense of a leaf in the wind, was lost. Again. Ven was pretty far behind and she had no clue if she'd even gone in a straight line. Eh, this was annoying. Wait... She remembered seeing some kind of narrow opening and went through it. Darnit, now everything was blacker then black! A voice caugh her attention. "H-hello?" It echoed. Seemed like this place wasn't used much... With a hand on the wall, Cira started to walk down the dark path.

Tsuki heard a snap and she fell backwards off the wall. "OW!" She landed with a massive thud....
"Guess I have to get some better cable..." She looked at her head phones broken in half.... "Or headphones..." She quickly jumped up and started panicking. "ARHG! My headphones!!! She quickliy reached into her pocket and pulled out her earphones. "*sigh* These will have to do." She looked up at the roof again how could she get up there?

[Crimson]

"I'm a senior."
Shiro's eyebrows rose - a little cat-girl like her was older than him? Well, it was probably normal.. female didn't get the same kind of growth spurt as male. Silence filled the air; Shiro took the time to observe Nami in the faint light. The ears and the tail looked - and had felt - so soft, silky even. Her hair looked the same. Nami's face had slight, barely noticable cat-like features, but overall she was a very cute girl.
The black-haired teen surprised slightly, when she broke the silence.
"Where'd you move from?"
"Oh", he said, scratching the back of his ear with his finger, "I'm from this city called Midgar... I suppose you've never heard of it." He paused for a while before continuing. "It was a horrible place - lots of pollution, no sunlight... I'm just glad I got out of there. And I guess you've lived here all your life, or..?"

"It wont. It's full of fuel, and besides, these kinds can last for hours."
"Phewww ~" Xenjin sighed out, now being able to relax almost completely. She looked around seeing faint figures and the shapes of tables and chairs, wondering when this chaos would end. It sure was a different kind of school day... Gladly the dark-haired boy had helped her out; she was very grateful.
"Um..." the red-head began, "...thanks again. I wouldn't have been able to stay sane without you, hehe." She chuckled nervously as she looked at Zakai. Suddenly something hit her - she had no idea what his name was!
"Oh, what's your name? I'm Xenjin." She smiled.

Leon was still sleeping under a tree. He began to dream.

A young boy was crying. His hands filled with blood. The room is filled with blood like a gory movie. He was scared. A man comes in.

" Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you. " The man said in a scary smile. He immediately ran away from him. He stopped in a kitchen. The room was then engulfed in fire. The man began to move closer to him reaching for him. He looked for a way to escape. The man walked through the fire. He took out a knife and continued to follow the little boy.

" Come Back ! I just want to play !" He laughed maniacally . The boy tried to get out from a cat door. Blood still dripping from his hands not knowing where it came from. He felt his leg being grabbed. He screamed out. " NO!!! I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING." He cried and tried to escape.

" YOUR MOTHER JUST TRIPPED ON MY KNIFE. NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!" He laughed again. The little boy felt a knife on his leg. He quickly pulled his leg back.

He got up and ran away from the what seemed to be the backyard. A drunken man no longer following him. The house slowly burning. The little boy turned around. He froze when he saw the man staring at him.

" Come here LEON! "


Leon woke up from his nightmare. He looked at his hands and saw no blood. " It's happening again. " He said to himself.

Ammy was still locked outside.
Are they ever gonna get the doors open?!

Kairi kept running through the corridor. She almost tripped over what appeared to be an empty can, but continued running afterwards.

Sae had reached... the bathroom. She just didn't know it. Still reaching out, she found her hands on a sink.
What do we have here... A bowl? Why would there be a bowl in the school corridors?

Yae crept up the stairs like a mouse.
Hehe, if I find Sae I can scare the crap outta her! Where could she be...

Sasuke looked with his torch.
"Damit their not here! Now that i think about it don't the heartless like the darkness? shit!" he began to run back into the hallways. He felt a presence. It was a heartless, staring at him with its yellow eyes.
"dam" he began to form hand signs.
"Miniature fireball jutsu!" he blew from the torch and it created a small fire ball and destroyed the heartless.
"Dam guess i was right about them." He looked around and began to call out Ciralars name.
"Cira! Where are you?" He was concerned about her. He didn't know the other kids name, so he couldn't call out to him. But a few heartless kept coming towards him every once in a while. they were weaklings due to them not having as much darkness with his torch.He thought he had heard something from one of the classrooms.
"Ciralars you in here?" he asked the darkness that was in the room.

Tsuki pulled out her mobile and called the police. "Yeah, well I'm stuck outside!" She screamed into the phone.
"Look ms, the police are already on there way when the whole system shutdown. Just sit down and wait." The police guy hung up on her. She yelled at the phone and put it back in her pocket. What was happening in there?

Rikku sighed and wondered how they'd get up there anyway. "Guys! Do we have some kind of plan!" She yelled out across the cafeteria, and really loudly.
