Rep Power: 2 ![]() Level: EXP: | “I wish they would just do the sorting and rules so we can eat and go to bed. This is really annoying.” Allegra slammed her fist on the table and sighed. She didn’t care anymore; her waiting was causing her to become restless and so help her she would go and sort the first-years herself if she had to wait much longer. She could feel her stomach rumbling, and it only reminded her that next year she needed to buy much more than a liquorice wand and a chocolate frog. Putting her right hand on her stomach, she tried to muffle the sound of the growling so that people near her couldn’t hear it. “Sorry. I wasn’t bothering you with my thinking out loud, was I?” “What? No!” In all honesty, Allegra was too absorbed in her own world of hunger and self-pity to even notice that someone was talking to her. He was practically next to her. Perhaps he ought to have learned how to properly initiate conversation ... or perhaps Allegra wasn’t listening hard enough. She knew she had to further respond; she could sense smoky grey eyes staring at her. Platinum blonde hair, Slytherin... Allegra was annoyed that she couldn’t think of his name. Then again, he looked older than fifth year, so they might not have crossed paths before. So far, judging from what he’s been saying, she quite liked him. “I was thinking exactly the same thing, really. My least favourite part of the year is the sorting... and I’m starving. ” Allegra heard her stomach rumble again and in response she briefly glanced at it, pushing her hand against it harder. She wasn’t sure if it was going to make it stop, but it was always worth a try. There wasn’t long to go until the food came and her stomach would be quite happily silent. The sorting ceremony had begun. Boring as it was, it meant less time until food and sleep. Her voice hushed to just louder than a whisper as the ceremony began. “I don’t believe we’ve met.” She grinned. “Allegra Fox.” |

| Rank 1 | "Eh, what did you say, Dan?" asked Red, his handsome features splitting into a wide grin as the girl blushed, her friends giggling equally hard, turning away slowly as he glanced back at his friend, a broad smile still apparent. "Nothing Red," he said, a grin crossing his face as a sound from the front of the Hall interrupted them. Red sat down, his face aglow as Headmaster Potter stood up. Red's chocolate brown eyes glowed slightly as Headmaster Potter. The man was standing, addressing the crowds of students with a fortitude he had earned over the years. Red stared up at the Boy Who Lived, his healthy respect for the man outweighing his constant desire to flirt or handle business. The man was one of the few straight-edge wizards that Red respected; while most shyed from the criminal underbelly because of misguided morals and fear, Headmaster Potter had been known to break the rules for the good of all; and while Red's intention were far more simple, he could respect the Headmaster's understanding that the law is not simply black and white. One must live within the gray. "Nice of him to keep it short, eh?" he replied once the Headmaster had finished, glancing down at his plate, stomach rumbling slightly as the golden silverware glinted teasingly, mocking him with their emptiness, "I need some grub." "Don't count your chickens so soon mate," answered Daniel, rubbing his blue eyes tiredly as he motioned to where Ginny was standing, "We still gotta do the Sorting." "Bugger," remarked Red, cracking one knuckle as he watched the Headmistress unravel the scroll, "The Headmistress is still looking fine. I hear that Headmaster Potter saved her from a Basilisk her first year here!" "Nah, that's a myth," replied Dan, his eyes furrowing as he attempted to picture the red-haired Headmistress as a first year, "People will believe anything these days. I can never imagine her as a tiny little first year... Talk about a Headmistress I'd like to f-" However, Dan's obscenity was blocked out by a sudden cheer as the tables clapped, the first of the first years beginning to line up. As the cheering faded, Red glanced back at the Gryffindor table, his eyes alighting on that cute one more time before turning to the Sorting Hat, a happy grin still across his face. "It proves our theory though; most of the good-looking girls go to Gryffindor," he said, his eyes glazed over slightly as he watched the Sorting Hat, "Headmistress Hottie herself was over there too." "Brilliant," replied Daniel, a knife sliding around his empty place absent-mindedly as the Sorting began, "Can't wait for classes to begin..." A first year tripped as he walked up to the Hat, and he grinned, a thought crossing his mind. "Hey, have you heard of this kid Talon?" the memory snapping into his head, "In our house, bit short, dweeby." "That's a lot of kids, Red," snorted Daniel, picking up his golden fork and eying his reflection carefully before turning to face Red, "Who is this kid?" "You'd know him if you saw him," replied Red, his eyes turning back to the Sorting Hat as he continued, "Total clutz. Got the worst luck I've seen. I think I'm gonna make him my new project..." "Sure that's a good idea?" asked Dan, turning to look at him with a quizzical look, "I mean, the guy sounds like social suicide." "You know how I work Dan," Red replied with a wink, his eyes turning back to the Sorting Hat, "Always working the background. By the time I'm done, the kid'll be the next Viktor Krum. Or some other famous bloke." "Stick with your business," groaned Dan, a huge Quidditch fan himself, "You've never been one for the sports." |

Rep Power: 9 ![]() ![]() Currently playing: Final Fantasy X (yes, late gamer here) Level: 40 EXP: | Charlotte looked at the boy named Ben who seemed hesistant but was nice enough to join them. She wondered if he had any friends to make or knew anybody else. It seemed to her, he probably was shy. She knew how he felt. She had felt that way at times. She was about to say something to her when Professor Potter stood up and announced, "Welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! This year shall be a great one. But before I go on, my name is Harry Potter, I am the Head Master of this school, but don't think of me as a teacher, think of me as a friend, I am here to help you become great wizards and witches, and you will, if you just believe! So, I'm pretty sure you don't want to hear me babble on any more, let's get started with the sorting, so every first-year, please step up..." He smiled at everybody around in the Great Hall. She smiled back. She liked Professor Potter, he was one of the best professors at Hogwarts. He always listened and had a say with the students and his wife, Ginny was also really cool. It was soon time for the first years to come forward and do the sorting ritual that the first years always had to do every year. They would go to a wooden chair, pick up the tattered hat, and then the hat would determine (while being on their heads) where they'd go into. The hat would usually put them into the houses they want although they gave them suggestions. Charlotte could remembered that her first year that she had to put on the hat. The hat thought she'd be fit for Hufflepuff but she didn't want to be in Hufflepuff. She liked Gryffindor, thus, it sorted her into Gryffindor along with her other friends. She was glad to be where she was. She then slowly tried to look around for Fred Weasley. Where was he? She thought. **** Fred Weasley traveled down the corridor with a rapid swift pace passing through walls. He had to made sure that he made it to the Great Hall. He didn't want to miss the feast and the sorting. Although, he knew he couldn't eat. He still liked to see the first years reaction to him and the other ghosts. He also liked being there with everybody else because it felt like they were all family despite not getting along with the Slytherins. It was the feast, they were like a family wether some of students believed it or not. He glided into the Great Hall just in time to see the sorting. Phew, I made it. Then suddenly one first year who saw him come in, shrieked. Oops. He had accidentally startled a new first year. "Don't be scared," he tried to reassure the first year, who looked petrified at the sight of him. "I'm safe and I'm your friend. Think of me as your very friend." He said smiling at him. The first year nodded and continued to follow the other first years. He smiled as he watched them go. Then he looked around, trying to spot Charlotte. Hope she doesn't mind if I come over there. He silently glided over to where she was. "Hello," he said to her. "Mind if I join you guys?" He saw a girl nodded and made space for him. He sat down despite knowing that he would show through. Oh well. He smiled at Charlotte and saw that she smiled back, glowing almost. He tried not to blush and turned away. From there, he watched the students being sorted. "Hope they get into Gryffindor, because, you know, we're the best." He whispered as a girl was being called. He saw a few smiles from several people around him. He was happy to be at the sorting. Too bad, Aegis was in the hospital wing, missing all of this. He wondered what else Aegis wanted to be in. Too bad he never asked. Ah, well. He'd found out later wouldn't he? (OOC: My last post, while being on the forum, because I will have RM do it by e-mail, before I come back. Hope you guys enjoy it. BTW, I know Beastly didn't respond but I will respond when he does, I'm just moving on with Fred's character, that is all. Hopefully I'm not powerplaying as I control both Charlotte and Fred). |

| whatever... | (OOC-Ugh, sorry it's been a while since I posted, I'm gonna just skip over the sorting, anyone with a first year can pick what House they were sorted in...) Harry stood up, rubbed his beard, then cleared his throat and said, "Now that the sorting's over we shall begin the feast!" he announced. There was nothing on the tables, and no sign of servants that could bring the food, he knew the first years were confused. Harry lifted up his left hand and snapped his fingers. Food magically appeared in front of the students, there was chicken, ham, soda, and much more. Harry sat down in his chair, there was food on his table. But before he ate, he had to say something, "Enjoy the feast, and the rest of the year!" |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | Vega grinned widely and filled her plate, grabbing a little bit of everything. She had been waiting fo the feat all day long, and even her brother couldn't ruin her renewed excitement. Watching the other student dig into the feast, she joined in on the action, though she made sure to try to keep more dignity then many of them. The hunger pains from an entire day without food, not counting the candy, were quickly silenced as the food hit her stomach. A lot of talking fired up again when the food appeared, some of the older students explaining to the first years how it all worked though, some of the muggle born kids still didn't seem to get all of it. But hey, not everyone could get it all on their first day there. Vega ate her fill and took a long drink of pumpkin juice, relaxing on her seat afterward. There was nothing she could say that could describe how content she felt from both the feast and being back at school. Alot o other people were probably thinking the same. And now that she was full, she was getting pretty tired, it would be wonderful to just crash for the night on her warm fluffy bed in Gryffindor Tower. ~~~~~~~ Mike ate a bit here and there at the Ravenclaw table, looking around for the kids he had met on the train. A couple of them ended up in Gryffindor and Hufflepuff but one had managed to get into Ravenclaw with him. However, he was sitting at the other end of the table, chatting away with a couple girls in their year. He sighed and glared towards the other tables, annoyed at how well everyone else seemed to be getting along. |

| Rank 1 | OOC: More! IC: "Finally!" Red picked up a golden fork, a grin permeating his handsome features as a large plate of mashed potatoes appeared before him. He grinned as he slid the metal spoon into the steaming mass, his eyes glittering as they wandered over the succulent pork loin and the steaming roast chicken. Savory scents slid up around him, encompassing him with the delicious aromas. It was heaven, the cocktail of delicious smells... it was something Red looked forward to every year. The amalgamation of aromas; the feast outdid itself every year. "House elves outdid themselves again, eh?" mumbled Daniel through a bite to eat, a roast drumstick held in one of his pale hands. "Tell me about it," nodded Red, his eyes aglow as he indulged in the succulent delights. His mood was impeccably happy; things were going incredibly well. In fact, he was feeling well enough to chance it this year... "Heads up," he motioned with his hand, mouth still full with pork chop. He withdrew his wand from his robes, glancing cheerily from side to side, watching carefully to make sure the feast was underway. The chaos of the feast had begun. Perfect. He tapped the bottom of the table with his wand twice, his chocolate brown eyes glittering as he activated a simple charm. As he tapped the bottom of the table, a few red sparks glowed subtely underneath his spot. They were small, barely visible, and certainly not visible in the chaos of the feast. If anyone happened to be glancing his way, they'd simply catch a quick red glow before they vanished without a trace. However, the effect of the charm was immediate. Red had taken his opportunity last year to put a simple charm on each of the long oak tables; it was simply, easily removed, but luckily, no one had detected it during the summer... And now was the perfect time to test it... "Red," said Daniel, rolling his eyes as he ran a hand down his face, "a bit dramatic don't you think?" "It's all the marketing mate," replied Red with a grin, his eyes glowing with the light as all around the Great Hall, interesting phenomenon began to occur. At each place, at all of the student's seats, a single message seemed to engrave itself on the table. It was almost like a glowing fire engraving itself on the table, but quiet subtle, appearing at each place, for every student to see. "As you can see," continued Red with a smile, glancing down as the message engraved itself at his place too, "Everyone will see this message before it vanishes into ash, from the dweeby first-year Hufflepuffs to the gorgeous Gryffindor seventh-years." "You've always been poetic," said Daniel with a sigh and an eye roll as he glanced down, a reluctant grin spreading across his face as he read over the message, just as every student in the Great Hall would be doing at the moment. Welcome back mates, new ones and old, back to the castle, those both timid and bold. but have no fear, witches and wizards, hold onto your cats, owls, rats, and lizards. Need a love potion, or some spare ingredients? Need a new broom or a cure for your ailments? Be it new pranks, be it for parties, I've got your back, from Butterbeers to farties. Ask around, let me know what you need, and for a small price, I'll do all your deeds Welcome to Hogwarts, Owl me |

So Sally stayed quite apperant that Jakie was giving the message she should be quite. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() Level: 15 EXP: | The night was bleak, the skies black as the darkest depths of the mind, and on top of that it was raining. To put it quite simply, Matthias was not in the best of moods. Surly he liked the rain, and the darkness did not bother him ............ much. No it was the fact that he had missed the initial departure train that went onward to Hogwarts. In truth, he preferred the mode of transportation that he had now adopted far better then the "cess pool", or so he called it, of the train. Indeed, the luxury of a flying limousine, being driven by Matthias' personal Chauffeur, was more comfortable to the boy. Even so, he was fidgeting his thumbs in circles around each other in the back of the vehicle, never allowing one to touch the other, as he pondered what had happened just before he had missed the train. ~~ He could have sworn that, moment before he got on the train, his father was seeing him off on his journey. At this site Matthias heaved his luggage over his shoulder and tried to break through the thickness of the crowd, all just so that he could get a clear look at him. Sadly when Matthias arrived at the scene, there was not but a single rat in the place he thought his father surely would be. Repulsed by the disgusting creature, and saddened by the apparent illusion, Matthias turned around almost immediately. This is when he saw the train beginning it's departure, sadly without him aboard. ~~ Matthias snapped out of his inquisitive trance immediately after his thumbs finally collided. Then almost instantly, the driver called back to Matthias saying; "Master Novastar, we have arrived at our destination." "Good then, another year with the wretches, should be fun." Matthias replied halfheartedly. "Yessssss, fun for the both usssss." Greta said as she slithered out from Matthias' sleeve. Matthias then went to the trunk unloaded all of his luggage, and proceeded to the main gate where he was being questioned of why he was so late, followed by the inspection of all of his luggage. To be frank, Matthias did not react to this type of thing very well, and never did even as a first year. Once this excruciating process was complete, Matthias jetted toward the Main Hall for the feast; he was, after all, starving. So ran he did, until he came to the huge doorway of the Hall and just stood there, marveling at the site of all the scrumptious food. "HAHA, yes, this is freaking excellent!" Matthias said aloud to himself, and just loud enough for most people near him to hear. He has an obnoxious attitude like that when he's happy. Immediately he walked over to the Slytherin table and began to scarf down the food, despite his whole body still being drenched. Then, after he had plopped down on his seat and began eating everything in site, something was etched into his section of the table, as well as all others. This ceased Matthias' ramped eating frenzy, and he let out a small chuckle before he spoke these words, and quite loudly at that. "Oh look everyone, the Mud-Blood is back to his old theatrics, how utterly amusing. Is not the time for your childish games to be at an end yet ............ RED!" Matthias announced as he looked in Red's general direction, whilst he twirled a chicken leg in one hand, and rest his head on the other hand. After he was done he took a big bite out of his chicken leg, and a face of satisfaction ran over his face as the meat literally melted in his mouth. ((Okay this is all I can get for now, but rest assured, I will edit this post accordingly with a segment from my other character.)) |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() Level: EXP: | Derek smiled. Also in a hushed voice he said, "I think I've seen you around before. Anyway, my name's Derek Malfoy." The sorting ceremony passed surprisingly quicker than she anticipated, and the food had finally made an appearance on the Slytherin table. All sorts of delicious aromatic sensations, varying from savoury to sweet, Allegra was in a much more cheerful mood now that she knew her stomach would be filled. She grinned and hastily took her plate and leaned forward just in time to take some mashed potatoes and a big slab of roast beef. “Well, it’s very nice to meet you, Derek Malfoy.” She said as she sat down, full plate in hand. Allegra found that she had, all of a sudden, to speak louder than normal. She gathered it was because most of the students had exploded into chatter after being forced silent for about half an hour... and of course, the peppy little first years were giggling and cheering like there was no tomorrow. For an instant, she could hear one particularly excited student utter a piercing squeal that caused Allegra’s face to scrunch up out of discomfort, but she eventually laughed the expression off. “Hehe...” She scooped additional potatoes onto her plate. “I guess you might have only seen me at Quidditch matches. Do you play?” In her mind, that seemed like a decent way to start conversation, as it probably was the only way she really could make conversation. Quidditch was essentially her life, so Allegra didn’t have much other means for discussion. Of course, there was the backfire that the person she was talking to has a completely different personality to her and thought she was some sort of one-dimensional snob, but that never happened. Most definitely never. Regardless, Allegra was starting to think she needed some more things to talk about. It seemed like she’d been talking about Quidditch all day. “... Potatoes?” (OOC: I tried xD) |

It's just alittle troublesome with all the classes I have this year." Derek started grabbing more food and stuffing his face some more. “... Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | Vega chuckled softly at the poem that appeared in the table. It looked like the teachers weren't to opposed to whatever was going on, but when a Slytherin student started yelling across the Great Hall to Red, she expected a teacher or two to yell at them. Vega took a sip of her pumpkin juice and looked towards the boy that had started yelling. She recognized him and Vega roze for a moment as she tried to attach his face to a name. "Novastar..." Vega muttered to herself, trying to remember his first name. After a few moment she shrugged and let it go. She'd remember it eventually, hopefully. Usually her memory was quite good but after an entire summer of goofing off, she had forgotten quite a few things. "You realize of course, that disgusting term 'Mud-blood' could apply to nearly every student here, correct? Including yourself? I mean, in the long history of wizardry, everyone has ties to the muggle world at this point." Vega said just as loudly as Matthias had spoken. However, she made no effort to make herself known as the speaker. Some people would know but she honestly didn't care, especially if that meant people would go out of their way to hex her. Vega was used to being a target, she'd just break their noses if they tried. Maybe ever their jaws if she got ticked off enough. |
