The Ways of the Clans: Pride and Power

Clans make up the world. They work together for the enhancement of their own kin. They work as one. They travel as one, eat as one, sleep as one, and fight as one. It's the way of the clans. But some are better than others. Clans with more power have more control than weaker clans. Which lead powerful clans to have pride that they have to keep in order to stay known to the world.

Countries are getting desperate for help....and they only pay for the best Clans. So how will the way of your clan affect the world. How much Pride and Power do they possess?

Somewhere within the Land of Rice Patties

It was nearly silent. The soothing sound of the wind against the trees and pushing the water softly was all that could be heard. The full moon shined brightly with the night sky as the stars flickered. With the help of the moonlight two people could be seen standing in the middle of the lake on top of the water. A male and a female. The female was breathing hard.

"You're doing good, Miyuki, just focus your chakra on the water and carve it into an exact replica of yourself." said Makoto.

Miyuki continued breathing hard. She was bent over with her hands on her knees. She looked at her father. She admired him. He was a good leader and shinobi. She wanted to be like him.

I cant give up. she thought to herself. She stood straight up and performed hand signs. "Water Clone Jutsu."

The water around her began to rised and swirl until it took the shape of a person then it slowly began to look like Miyuki.

"Good job." said Makoto "Now attack."

Miyuki and the water clone ran towards Makoto. They ran in curves, crossing in front of eachother every time they zig-zagged. Makoto took out his katana and ran towards them. Miyuki jumped and kicked as Makoto blocked. The other one tried to punch him but it was blocked too.

"Electric Current: Swift Sword Technique"

Makoto's hands sparked with electricity and it moved from his hands to the blade of the katana. He kicked one Miyuki away as she was about to attack then spun around and cut the other with his katana. It turned out to be the water clone and it turned back into water. The real Miyuki landed on the water.

"How'd you know that was the clone?"

"I just know these things." laughed Makoto. "We should stop. It's getting late. I'm sure your mother is worried."

He put his katana up. He walked over to Miyuki and rubbed her hair, messing it up. She smiled and fixed it back. They began to walk to the Isomae Clan's hideout.

"Dad, are we gonna train some more tomorrow?"

"If I have time. I have to meet with the Elders tomorrow. And prepare for a mission to the Land of Wind."

They walked for a little longer then arrived at their clan's hideout. As they passed by the tents and the houses made of clay and wood other members of the clan waved at them. They waved back. They arrived at their house and was greeted by a little boy.

"Dad, Sis your done training." said the boy.

"Yeah Michiro." said Miyuki.

Makoto rubbed the top of Michiro's head the same way he did Miyuki's. He walked to the back of the house.

"Milana?"

His wife turned around.

"I guess you two are done training." she said. "You were almost late for dinner."

Makoto laughed and rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah, I noticed. The only reason I rememberd was because my stomach was growling."

Milana laughed. She put bowls on the table and put the food in them. Makoto sat down as Miyuki and Michiro came and sat down too. Milana then sat down as they began to eat.

[Ubiquity]

There were encampments scattered through the lands and most of the people in them were clans that just seemed to be sprouting up in their roots, but depending on what kind of jutsu or how they lived, The Tarnaic clan normally didn't give a damn about whom, or what they were up to. Anyway, at this time, the leader of the Tarnaic was sitting on top of a tree branch, just amused at how things were going with some of the lesser scouting missions taking place at the time.

"The Sutamina huh?? That is interesting." Seru had sent a ninja to the grounds that were supposedly being taken up by this clan. It was the correct information of course, which is why a handful of ninja were now stalking around the area, classing just what to do next, and they were all being led by a 12 year old named Tomie Raito.

Tomie waved a hand at the ninja whom were searching around for something, meaning for the most part for them to double back on the efforts they used as not to be caught up in anything too committed. This was of course a scouting mission.

"Heyy guys, look over there. There is somebody with a high power level, lets see what goes on."

in the land of snow...

Maru, and his mentor Kiska are busy training north of their encampment.
"Maru. Let's see if you finally mastered the whirlwind scythe technique, Form one large scythe and slice that that large tree right in front of you." "I've been practicing." He said. Maru formed three hand signs and said: "Combination fire wind style: Whirlwind scthe technique!" A large firey blade Erupted from his hands and he dashed back and threw it like a Shuriken with both hands. It spun at a high speed toward the base of the tree and sliced right through it. "Very good." She said.

[Sephy-kun]

Deep below the surface of the Land of Earth...

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'SHE ESCAPED'!?!"

Sujou couldn't believe it. The image of his master was yelling at them over some stupid girl who they were supposed to catch. Apparently, Ketsueki wanted the girl for some reason that would "save the entire Sutamina clan" or whatever. He just sighed and looked at his clan leader's projection. Since he was the youngest, he had no say in what had happened. But whatever did happen, he would take them blame.

Oujou took a step forward and bent down on one knee. Since he was the oldest, he had to report the mission's status. "Master," Oujou began. "It was my fault, not theirs. I had taken a nap while the other two were off scouting the surrounding area. The girl somehow escaped and forced a genjutsu on me. By the time the other two arrived, she was long gone. They had come across another clan who had challenged their honor, and they were forced to fight to-"

"SO IT WAS SUJOU'S FAULT! INSOLENT LITTLE BRAT! YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS ACT!"

Sujou's eyes opened wide and he cried out in pain. He grabbed his heart and bent over in agony. The spot where his clan mark was burned like a white hot fire. Though he got this often, he was not able to bear the pain. Every time a mission failed, it was his fault, just because he was the youngest. Not Oujou's, not Myou's, his.

"MASTER!" Oujou cried out and grabbed his little brother. "Stop this! Punish me instead!"

"....Very well. I will stop. I cannot punish my prize pupil."

Sujou let go of his chest and fell to the ground, gasping for air. His brother had stuck up for him. That's why Oujou was his favorite. Myou never did anything or said anything to stop the Leader's punishment. "Master," Oujou pleaded. "Give us one more chance. I promise, we will not fail."

"Very well. You three have one last chance. To the east there is a country called The Land of Rice Patties. I believe there is a clan there who specializes in Sealing Jutsu. Whether or not this is true, find out. I will not deal with failure..."

All three of the Shuuki Trio bowed before the image of their leader. "Yes, Master..."

"GO!"

All three brothers walked up the path to escape the horrid place of meeting.

[Nigga Sauce]

Eyes piercing upon the clan, the two members of the Izukashi clan just stared upon their next victims. "So this is the Isomae Clan? I'm gonna have fun with this one. Listen up Kina, we won't kill them but instead just test them. I wanna make sure I know just how powerful they are or maybe how weak." Normatsu explained to his lovely wife, standing in her red kimono that fit her curves perfectly. For a moment, he was in his own world. Snapping out of it, he waved his hand, sending his ninja to get closer, but keeping hidden. "Do you think ten will be enough for us and enough for Ceon and Syra?" His blushing bride said only for to him to respond in a nod. Both ninja of the Izukashi walked toward the Clan's hideout. "They suck at keeping their clan hideout actually hidden. Let's make some noise. Izukashi clan, enter silently. Remember it's broad daylight and wait for my signal." Normatsu said with such subtlty. All ten ninja jumped up and made their way into the village through different means but keeping quiet. Standing at the entrance of the Isomae clan's hideout, Noarmatsu yelled out "BRING OUT YOUR DEAD!" Suddenly all ten ninja jumped out and started attacking the clan. Even though Normatsu has brought only ten, all ten ninja were highly trained giving edge over the Isomae clan's ninja.

Meanwhile in the land of snow which was quite far off, Ceon and Syra were not too far from the Subasaru clan. "We've been watching these two train for awhile now. Can't we just attack now?" Syra asked her uncle as they watched Maru and Kiska train. "Okay let's go in." Ceon replied. Syra was very giddy from his response and she jumped down from high tree, landing infront of the two. "Ummm how do I say this? Were from the Izukashi clan and were here to end your pathetic life." Ceon said as he raised one hand to signal the ten izukashi ninjas to stay whille him and Syra handled Kiska and Maru.

"You think even if you guys outnumber us that you can defeat us?" Maru asked. "I'm going to have to use THAT technique. Be ready to run as soon as I perform the jutsu. Alright Kiska-sensei?" "Alright, I trust you. Maru jumped into the tree and two forms of chakra appeared: A lightning cloud, and a sphere of rotating Chakra. "Soul of Chidori, Spark of Rasengan!" He then thrust the two forms of Chakra into each other. Then he jumped from the tree and When he landed he thrust the unstable energy into the ground. The pressure builds inside the earth and created a large explosion and Maru and Kiska escaped...

Makoto woke up to the sound of his wife, Milana, humming. He got out of the bed and put on his armor. His shin guards, chest plate, back plate, and arm guards all together added weight to him. To wrapped a sash around his torso and put his katana in it. The back of his armor bared the Isomae Clan symbol.

It was the break of morning. Miyuki was already up and had took Michiro to the training ground. Makoto was getting ready for a mission to the Land of Wind but first he had to go talk with the Elders. Something he loathed doing. He gave his wife a kiss as he left their residence.

As Makoto walked to the Elders tent, he looked at his fellow clansmen. Some were just waking up, others were already doing daily chores for the well-being of the clan. Seeing the clan put a smile on his face. And as he smiled, the Isomaes he passed would smile back with a look of happiness on their face.

Makoto walked into the Elders' tent. The three elders were Makoto's uncles and aunt, the brothers and sister of his father, Tomashita, Gozen, and Yoru Isomae. He looked at their faces. The look on each of there faces were different but the look on Tomashita Isomae's face was the same as always. The look of disappointment.

"Sit down, Makoto." said Gozen.

Makoto did what he was told. The faces they were giving made Makoto uneasy.

"What is this meeting for?" asked Makoto.

"It's about the future of our clan." said Tomashita.

Makoto glanced at Tomashita. Every word Tomashita said had to do with the clans future. Makoto was worried about the clans future but Tomashita's way of fixing it was never Makoto's way of things.

"I'm listening." said Makoto.

Yoru stood up.

"There's an issue with the clan. Our numbers are falling and we're running out of supplies to sell to other countries." she said.

"Because of our small number other countries arent giving us missions..and with no missions we have no money." said Gozen.

"....and with no money our clan dies." Tomashita interrupted. He stared at Makoto.

"That's why I'm going to the Land of Wind. I recieved a scroll from the Daiymo that said that he wanted to give our clan a mission."

Tomashita stood up.

"What do you plan on doing? Our clan has 30 members and only 12 of that 30 are shinobi. Our clan is weak and we need to get stronger. If clans like the Uchiha and Senju hear of our weakness they would easily take over our clan."

Makoto stood up and got in Tomashita's face.

"I am the Isomae Clan's leader. I wont allow that to happen to my family."

"Some things even a leader cant do." yelled Tomashita.

The other two elders grabbed Tomashita and forced him back to his seat.

"Calm down Tomashita." said Gozen.

Yoru brought a scroll from her robe. She placed it in front of Makoto.

"This scroll is from the Land of Rain. They have an offer that we think would be best for the clan if you took it. But the Daiymo wants to talk to you directly. As soon as possible."

"Which is why we decided to send someone else to go to the Land of Wind"

Makoto looked confused.

"I'm the clan's leader. Shouldnt it be up to me?"

"Yes normally. But in this case we decided." said Yuro.

"We've decided to test your daughter. To see how she fairs in negotiation for the clan."

"After all if anything were to happen to you....she would be the one to take over." said Tomahita angrily.

"So you're sending Miyuki to the Land of Wind while I go to the Land of Rain."

"Yes, but she wont be going alone. Come in Saida."

The tents flap opened as Saida walked in. He wore the clans armor with the symbol on it and carried scrolls around his belt. Saida bowed to Makoto and the elders.

"Our clan medic. Good choice." Makoto grabbed the scroll and began to walk out the tent. "Be careful on the mission. I'm leaving for the Land of Rain."

Makoto walked out. Saida stood in front of the Elders. Tomashita got up.

"Go find Miyuki and then leave for the Land of Wind."

"Yes sir."

The other elders left. Tomashita stopped Saida as he walked out the tent.

"Watch Miyuki and when you get back tell me about her." he whispered.

Saida bowed.

"Sure thing."

As they walked out screames could be heard. People yelling near the clans hideouts entrance could be heard also. Saida and Tomashita looked as they saw Makoto running towards the entrance. Two other shinobi of the clan were with him. Miyuki was close behind.

Makoto saw as ninjas started to attack the clan. Some of the clan was already fighting some of the enemy ninja. Makoto stopped ahead of one of the ninjas. He was looking for a symbol on one but couldnt see any yet. Tomashita arrived beside Makoto.

They started to do hand signs.

"Thunder Dragon Jutsu!" they both said.

A giant dragon of electricity formed from the hands of Makoto and Tomashita, aimed for the enemies invading there clans space.

[Ubiquity]

"Things never change with freaks like that, but as far as I'm concerned, they will end up here." She turned and began strolling around to the further space that headed east even more so than before. "Underground is always interesting, but I prefer underwater." A few of the ninja with her laughed cautiously and then followed along after her while some of the the others stayed back and prepared to split off for an assignment that fell in hand with this one.

Tomie picked up speed, using her chakra to lace the area with a force that drew out the locations of higher lifeforms. "Well that's set, we can merely fade away for now, just keep yourselves cased in what you were trained in." It wouldn't be long before it all was set into motion....

[Shinra X-2]

Maru paced right into his father's tent. "Father...Ninja's from another...clan attacked me and Kiska while we were training just north of here... should we engage?" "No son...look like this is a more open spot than I expected. you and the other young ones here except your sister should leave and head back to the village. Go gather them and leave immediatly... If they defeat us here... You'll be the clan head. Understand?" "Yes father."

Meanwhile Kira Just walked into the tent. "Father...The injured are ready to fight. I saw to it myself."
"Oh, hello little brother..."

"Hello sister. I just finished discussing the situation with father...You are to stay here to help fight and heal... Mean while I'm going to take the young ones training here and go back to the village south of here..."

"Alright. But Why?"

"Kiska and I were attacked by a group of one of the opposing clans. Kiska, the other adults including the clan leader are going to be fighting them off here."

"Alright."

Maru walked out of the tent and went to gather the other young ones...

[Nigga Sauce]

Ceon and Syra only laughed at the two ninja as they thought a mere explosion would stop the two Izukashi ninja. Condensing chakra around their body, Ceon and Syra kept walkin forward, the explosion literally doing nothing to him. Kiska and Maru really thought they could escape when obviously Ceon and Syra could see them. Folowing the ninja, Ceon and Syra would be lead right back to the Subasaru clan's hideout, but then again Kiska and Maru wouldn't make it back if Ceon had something to say about it. Following them all the way back to Maru's father, Ceon and Syra stood not too far away from the clan of ninja. "You can't escape us. Might as well stand your ground and fight, cowards." Syra said with a smirk.

Normatsu and Kina only laughed at the Thunder Dragon jutsu coming their way. Cupping their hands, Normatsu and Kina readied the Jinseihatsu. It was only a matter of seconds before they released the Jinseihatsu. The blue spheres collided with the thunder dragon. The compacted spheres seem to pack more punch then the thunder dragon, but it didn't help much as both jutsu exploded upon contact. "That was pathetic. Your Makoto and your Tomashita if i'm correct. Kina, you handle any other higher up ninja in this clan. I'll take these two." Normatsu said before lifting up his hand and telling Makoto and Tomashita to come on.

Makoto looked as the ninja laughed at them. Makoto stood in front of Tomashita.

"Go help the other clan members please. Let me fight this one alone."

Tomashita looked at Makoto.

"I would be better to fight. I can create water out of the moisture in the air."

"That's why you should use that ability to help the rest of the clan. I can fight this one alone. It's no problem."

Tomashita looked at the ninja then at Makoto. He then ran off to protect the clan.

Makoto looked as he could see Miyuki protecting her younger brother. Saida was fighting two ninjas and other shinobi of the Isomae clan were protecting the non-shinobi of the clan. Makoto looked at the ninja.

"I'll be your only opponent here."

Makoto drew out his sword.

"Electric Current: Swift Sword Technique"

Makoto's hands sparked with electricity and it moved from his hands to the blade of the katana.

"Dont let my Thunder Dragon technique fool you. I used it to test your level of power. Now that I know you got a little bit of power. I dont have to weaken my attacks."

Makoto pointed his katana at the ninja.

"What clan are you from?"
