Welcome to the year 2096. The world has changed in many different aspects. Technology is at its peak. Medicine is at an all time high. The world is no longer plagued by cancer, sexually transmitted diseases, or, for that matter, most illness. Another something that has reached its climax is the world of video games. The kingdom of nerds. Or whatever you want to call it, and so enters 'The World.' MMORPG meets virtual reality in this one of a kind fantasy realm. Players clog the servers all around the world every hour of every day. Years of peoples lives can be spent playing this game of games. It could be the fact that any player could be anyone. During your normal day life you could be a homicide detective, but in 'The World' you could be a wise wavemaster, or a weak level 7 broadsword. 'The World' does not come without its vices though.

Hackers, power players, player killers; all are examples of some of these vices. There have always been players who think 'The World' should be under their control. Though they may try to fulfill their ideas, they have always failed. Until now. 'The World' meet Zao; Zao meet 'The World'. Out of all the players of 'The World' Zao is the most feared. Terrifying powers and a horrible reputation, not many players have ever stood up to this brute, and none have ever lived to tell about it. Not that Zao can actually 'kill' a player, but his powers do exceed to the point that he can delete accounts, in effect 'killing' a character. Zao has sought true and ultimate power for a long time but he has not been able to bring a plan together to fulfill his wishes, that is, until 'The Reunion.'

'The Reunion' is the only true holiday in the game that commemorates the original .hackers. This also just happens to be the first time 'The Reunion' will take place. All players are invited to this wonderful event, and Zao plans to exploit this fact. The more players that show up for the occasion, the better. Zao plans to delete every account that shows face at the event, admin, mod, and player alike. After that, there will be no one left who could oppose him, and even if there are, Zao still has some abilities tucked up his sleeve, waiting to reveal themselves.

'The World' works in strange ways though. Even now, before Zao has even put his plan into effect, other plans have been put into motion to stop this tyrant. Now a group of new .hackers must rise up and put and end to Zao, before all is lost.

Appearance: A full body cloak, a matching hood, both covered in ancient runes. Shiro has two runes on his face just below his eyes. The both glow red and look like sevens with the one on the right cheek being a backwards 7.
Bio: Shiro has had a mixed up life. He has constantly had to move for various reasons that are truly unknown to him. He has never really had a good relationship with his mother, actually, quite the opposite. Shiro hates his mother. From as long as he could remember his mother would beat him, with whatever item she could get her grubby fingers on. That is, until Shiro grew stronger than her. Shiro likes his father, but the man is not all that close to him. He tries though. That is more than his mother can say. Need less to say, Shiro has never been anything more than an average student. Not that he couldn't do better, it is just that he doesn't really care. His only true reprieve comes froming gaming online with his small circle of friends in 'The World.' Sometimes Shiro asks himself if it is even worth it, but his friends always seem to cheer him up.

Bio: Auro Spioa has been in The World for nearly 9 years now, starting back when he was 12. Four of those years have been kind to him as an admin.

When he was only 12, he learned of the game from a friend at school. So as any pre-teen does, he begged and begged until he got it. The World was an item that was on every child's wish list, played by the usual nerds and video gamers who were addicted to every other MMORPG in the world. It would not stay like that for long however.

In the years to come, The world would grow to become one of the biggest massive multi player video games on the internet, supporting more then 463 countries, and millions of players world wide. By the age Auro was 15, he was already a well known character amongst the small time hackers in The World. Causing chaos and disturbances all across the game under the alias of Sygario. Those were the days of child's play and exposing the game for every flaw it had. It was a serious problem.

However the administrators and the creators of the game saw this not as bad luck, but as an opportunity, this child was not doing them harm, he was assisting them in finding all of the bugs, the tweaks and most of all, the major problems in the game. They saw Auro as more of an asset then most admins they currently had. So in light of the situation, and his talents, Auro Received an invitation to meet the head admins in private. No one was to know where he was going, no one was to know what he was doing. That was the night that everything changed.

After that night, Sygario no longer roamed the net.

The admins had threatened to delete his account, and even ban him permenantly from the game if he did not stop his antics, and further more if he stopped creating mischief and turned on all the hackers he had once known, he would become an admin. Records of deleted and banned accounts that night consisted of Sygario, and multiple other hackers who had been "Discovered". On top of everything else, was the closing of Server 381. A server which had never made it passed the construction stage and so was closed down to the public. It had become a public hideaway to massive amounts of hackers, along with other rule breakers.

Also on the records that night , unknowingly to anyone else, was the creation of a new account. Shoushi Kuroi . It appeared to everyone that the admins had busted a large hideout for hackers, while at the same time, a user named shoushi Kuroi had joined the game for the first time, along with millions of other players.

for the last 4 years , Auro has been an admin which is not on any record, is not listed within the database, and last of all who is required to maintain the cover of a normal player who is playing the game, just trying to do what everyone else is doing. Beat the game, Save The World.

ic: Shiro put the trash into the aluminum cans behind his apartment building. School had been a complete bore, as usual. Home was no different. Who enjoys coming home to a screaming mother. Not Shiro atleast, and, he figured, no one probably. He returned the lid to the top of the can and turned to walk inside.

Atleast I can play on The World for the rest of the night and early morning..Shiro thought to himself as he chuckled, knowing this would displease his mother. I hope Shoushi is online.

Shoushi was Shiros best friend on The World and probably in the actual world, though Shiro had no idea where he lived. All he knew was that he lived in Japan, same as him. As Shiro walked inside, he headed towards his room. He moved the blanket that was crudley nailed to the top of the doorway from his dads room into his. His room felt cool and inviting, unlike the rest of the overly hot apartment. Shiro put on his helmet and booted up The World.

Shiro had forgotten about the so to say holiday. He was glad that The World was having a party of sorts, but he really wondered what it was about. He had asked Shoushi what it was for but he was extremely vague. All he had let slip was that it was for 'A group of true heroes...'

Shiro entered the world and immediatly went to check his friends list.

Appearance: Short extreamly spikey bright red hair. A plain long sleeve black shirt and a red vest with white fur lining the arms holes. Black pants with a white stripe at the bottom of the left leg.
Bio: Felix was a good student, always doing well in class pasiing homework on time, but no one could forgive him for hacking the school and locking out every teacher and adimistrator there. Still he worked hard and soon found himslef spending all of his free time in The World, it was his escape from the evil glares from other students and the scrutinizing he recived from every teacher or parent he meet. Thus he had no friends except for his favorite cat. He has only been playing The World for a short time as it wasn't when all his friends turned against him that it came out.

Auro Yawned, Hearing a blip from his speakers located several feet away"...Dammit...." He sighed, releasing a bad tasting breath of air. He had been asleep for several hours, the sound of one of his friends logging on had woke him from his light slumber. It always seemed no matter how tired he was, Auro was always ready to play in the world. The blip sounded once more. Obviously it was the shit load of people all logging on at the same time on his friends list, he had deemed the term, mass logging. This was not the first instance of this. " I really need to delete some people off my friends list.... or at least turn off my sound." Slowly he pulled himself out of bed, trudging over to his computer, and slidding on his helmet.

Shiro Has Logged in

He spotted the name from the hundreds of peoples names all flying across the screen. In the bottom right hand corner a loittle letter was flashing, obviously he had mail" Looks like they finally decided on a theme for this years festival..." He opened his invite box and typed in Shiro, then hit the send button. Then he quickly opened the mailbox.

Shoushi half wanted to mail him back telling him he had been right there at the meeting beside him. But then again He was oblivious to most things these days.

He typed a message to shiro" District 4, serva demasio, Server 204" quickly adding after that " Deep Abandoned Fire cavern today"

Shoushi left the messenger box and propped himself up next to the weapons shop, the usual place he would meet up with Shiro at. Today was going to be an interesting day if all went well.

Ic:Shiro recieved the invite from Shoushi. He immediatly accepted and then awaited the next message that was sure to follow telling where they would be heading today. Sure enough, a second message came soon after.

District 4, serva demasio, Server 204 Deep Abandoned Fire cavern today

"All right," Shiro said aloud as he teleported himself to the street that the weapons shop that Shoushi and he usually met on was. Shiro spotted Shoushi from down the street, leaning against the small building. The building itself really was ugly. It looked as if it was made from an odd 9 sided type of brick and was then crudley plastered with a red paint. The texture that it carried though was amazing for a video game. At this moment Shiro thought to himself how beautiful The World really was.

Shiro started towards Shoushi, who he thought didn't notice him. He had to know he was there. His party icon would have already informed him that Shiro was in the area. He acted as if he didn't though. Shiro walked up to him, put his hand on Shoushi's shoulder and said,

"Abandoned fire cavern, huh?"
