OOC: I'm really sorry about this, guys, but I think I'm going to have to drop out of the picture for a while. I haven't been feeling that great lately; and there's so much going on around my place that I just can't keep up. I might join in again later if it's okay with you; but I just can't do this RP at the moment. I'm sorry.

[Chosen Again]

Kristine nodded. This was it. Though what was wrong with Scion was still worrying her. She started off after Amelia but then clenched her stomach and fell down on the ground. A scream escaped her lips, she couldn't think straight with the pain.

Jailtin was worried about what would happen next. This man was serious about killing them, in fact he had earlier in life, killed one of the Saints (in case you've forgotten Lycy was technically a Saint). Now he seemed to have even more power.

Amelia looked behind her at Kristene, and rushed back to help her up. "Kristene ..." she said, actually worried about another person's well-being. "Don't move ..." she helped Kristene, and then looked back to where Scion, Altoran, and the other people were at. "You can't go into a battle like this," she said, with her eyes still glued to the battle scene.

But Amelia had to.

And yet, she couldn't leave Kristene when she was in such pain. What choice was there in that? But then, if she didn't go ...

Amelia closed her eyes. "Dammit ..."

Dante let out another more than slightly manical laugh, and simply hovered there. "Is this really all that the Chosen have become?" he shouted. "Nothing more than sniveling cowards! You worms ... you are nothing!"

Corpses rose out of the ground, friends and family members of some people in some planet somewhere. "Dearly beloved ... dearly departed ... ashes to ashes, and dust to dust," Dante whispered, though his voice seemed to carry through the wind.

The corpses were made of ash, and weapons were giving to them, also made of ash. The corpses began to attack the Chosen gathered there while Dante simply laughed and looked directly at Jailtin Reeve.

In the Shadowverse, turmoil began. Ripples swam through the darkness, and an unknown source of light lit up in the shadows for a mere moment.

With two pairs of wings, one pair larger and white, one pair slightly smaller and silver / grey, Lycian Wolfe appeared. Very much alive, very much dead and gone.

Dearly beloved, dearly departed ...

Or rather, Alyxea. Alyxea Daecivia appeared. Once alive, now a Fallen Angel.

Alyxea opened her ever-beautiful grey blue eyes. She had appeared a little ways from Altoran and his mother, Scion, and the others. She could see Kristene and Amelia a little ways away, but she had of course already known that they were there.

Whisps of silver, white, and black swam around Alyxea majestically as she looked directly at Altoran's eyes.

[Stavros]

Dante turned into ashes, the ashes clouded his vision. As it disparated the world started morphing, it twisted into irregular shapes, changed into unrecognizable colors. He fell to his hands and knees and emptied his stomach.

Stavros looked up, the world was still misshapen, and stood, wiping his mouth. "Dammit, that bastard will never die. . ." He said as he picked up his sword. He stabbed it into the ground and waited for his senses to come back to him completely.

[Chosen Again]

Kristine felt a prescence in Sedna, a disturbing prescence. Still she was happy to see that Lycian was here now. There was power in her that had not yet been seen. SHe tossed he rhead back and screamed. What was this damned thing?


Jailtin's eyes filled with tears, they would not fall. And they were tears of joy but still it was a significant event in and of itself. "You haven't a chance Dante, Give up."

Dalias had forgotten all about the girl that had appeared, where had she even gone. He had a feeling he was missing a large part of the significance of the moment but still he was happy to see that someone was there on their side, he flipped his longish blonde hair out of his face. This was about to get bloody.

(( Have to wait for Ty to post before I can post for Lycian / Alyxea again ... damn I hate her new name ... yet I have to keep it for my plan to work. Damn. ))

Amelia looked down with worry at Kristene, but then her eyes flicked up.

... Alyxea. It was her. Or was Amelia just seeing things? No ... of course not. This was her, Amelia was sure of it.

And this time, it wasn't just a dream.

Dante shook his head at Jailtin. "What, you think I'm idiotic?" he said. "Of course I cannot defeat you ... you are the great Jailtin Reeve!" Dante raised his hands mockingly. "On the other hand, the other Chosen fools are perfectly mortal. Lycian Wolfe, or should I say, Alyxea Daecivia, may be back, but that doesn't mean she's such a Saint anymore ... nor does it mean that she's regained her mortality. As long as she is still technically considered deceased, which she is, then the Chosen don't have that once-present eternal protection that they had."

Dante paused to chuckle a little. Insane fire was burning in his eyes ... though there was perfect terrifying and powerful intelligence and sane-ness behind the insanity. It was a frightening and ghoulish sight to behold. "They are perfectly killable, Jailtin ... hehe ... I've done the math," Dante finished.

[Chosen Again]

The building collapsed. Jailtinm grabbed Dalias and Maverick and flew into the air. "Perhaps you should refigure." THe building's rubble began to change shape, it almost seemed to be something alive. Finally it formed an arm. This skyscraper sized arm pulled a large stone demonic body out of the ground.

[Miss Murder]

Dante took into the air and flew a ways away, following Jailtin. "Face it, Jailtin," he hissed. "You can't keep them safe anymore." Dante was paying most of his attention to the stone demonic body, but was also paying nearly that amount of attention to Jailtin himself. "And what exactly do you think stone can do to ash, eh?" he said. Dante summoned his blade in a flurry of ash, and when it took form, commenced to slash Jailtin's right arm in two, thus making him drop Dalias.

[Chosen Again]

The Demon stretched out a hand and caught Dalias, it was far from a soft landing but it was safer than hitting the ground.

Jailtin's eye's became pitch black. He was ready to end this, he just hoped no one else got hurt in the process. His scythe seemed to be consuming the area around it. "You will die now. And no one will hear you scream." A bubble of black energy surrounded Jailtin and Dante.

[Miss Murder]

(( Oh, time for a battle theme. "Down With the Sickness" by Disturbed, sound good to you, Chosen?? ))

Dante grinned, and his blade seemed to almost grin with him. Veins extended from his sword's blade, and sunk into the flesh of Dante's right arm. "Hehehe ... the screams of corpses will ring through your ears, Jailtin Reeve. You are damned to Hell, and I am here to collect your soul."

He paused for a moment, but then continued. Hissing, he said, "Ashes to ashes, and dust to dust. You have woken up the Demons, Jailtin. Now Satan wants his toll, and I want my revenge. Both shall be satiated here, and now ..."

[Candy Man]

Sotrec stood at the entrance to Chris and Aetas's hideout. He flicked his wrist, trapping the latter in a web of black stone as he ran up. "We will stop you, Sotrec," Aetas yelled. Sotrec ignored him, feeling the cold stone's surface. He found the slight indentation of the square he was looking for. He brought his palm back, mimicking Chris's own strength as he shot it forward. A quick scan showed that was not Chris and several turrets lowered from the wall, aimed at Sotrec's head. A small platfrom rose up, presenting a pad for sotrec to scan his hand. Aetas laughed, "It won't do any good, that one's programed to my handprint. You're never getting in." Sotrec placed his hand on it, smiling as it dinged and retracted the deadly turrets. He turned to his brother. "What do you know, it is set to yours." Sotrec snapped and Aetas sunk into a small cave below him, a look of unending surprise on his face.

Altoran looked disbelievingly into what appeared to be Lycian's eyes. He could feel tears running down his face. They were black and hot. He covered up his right wrist to hide the scar. He had to try and keep himself together.

"I watched you die..." cried Altoran sadly as he fell to his knees. He tried to revert back into his normal state....but it didn't work. The tears continued to fall.

" You came back as an angel.....only to find me as a monster." cried Altoran," I missed you so much."

[Chosen Again]

Jailtin grabbed Dante by the throat. His face was inches away from his. "Perhaps you should reconsider now." He scowled at the man "You can't harm any of my friends nor can you harm me. . . .Give up."

[Miss Murder]

Lycian looked with sympathy at Altoran, and knelt down beside him. She took him by his right hand, her palm enclosed over the scar that was imprinted upon it. With a warm rush, the scar faded from existence, like a ghost of the past.

With her other hand, she gently tilted up Altoran's face. "I'm not who you think I am," she said quietly. "I'm no Angel. I Fell from Grace, for I saw that you needed me more than I needed myself."

She looked down for a moment, but then continued. "Altoran, there's something you and the rest of the Chosen need to know about me ..." she said, and before continuing further, waited for his response.

Lycian was shocked by her own emotion, or there lack-of. It seemed that in her Fall from Grace, she had lost any emotion of love that she once had.

Lycian may have once felt love, but Alyxea no longer did.

Dante merely smiled at Jailtin's anger. "My oh my," he said as he seemed to evaporate from Jailtin's grasp, and then reformed once again from ash behind Jailtin. "You really are stubborn. Possibly even more than I am. Jailtin, Jailtin, Jailtin ... how can you expect to defeat the Devil and his Demons themselves?"

Merely for show, or possibly not, Dante stabbed his blade clean through Jailtin's back, and through his stomach out the other end. "You can't hide forever, Reever ..."
