Darkness Revealed 2: Chaotic Bonds

[Miss Murder]

In a split second, Lycian was back in her human form, but the whites of her eyes were still oddly black. Emotion was still in them, but so was a ghostly and haunted essence. She looked at Altoran's eyes, into them, bearing into them.

She noticed the demonic tone that lied behind Altoran's normal voice, and saw his Darkside in his eyes. Instead of beingn worried, Lycian grinned a little.

"Problem?" she said, and her own demon tone lied beyond her normal voice. Lycian's dark eyes narrowed as she heard Altoran's true intentions for 'taking away her dark problem'. She grinned wider, almost manically and demonically. "And you somehow expect me to let you? The darkness won't to anything to me other than help. Even if it kills me, that can only be helping me in my opinion. I have nothing left to live for . . . except to grow more poweful and kill." She paused for a moment.

Malice was in her voice as she continued to look straight into Altoran's eyes and said, "Love doesn't mean anything to me anymore, Altoran. You don't mean anything to me." She watched his every movement. "Go ahead, be angry, kill me. I don't care anymore; it doesn't matter." She held her arms out and waited.

Dalias was afraid, that wasn't something he addmitted easily but it was true. These people were all crazy, that was just how it was. These people were unstable , they were like a homocidal soap opera. He decided that he was going to get out of here for a while. He struggled at first to lift his body off of the ground, but after he actually got into the air it wasn't all that difficult.

The Blessing was worried, the Blessing was always worried but today it seemed like the cloud that usually hung over Lycian was.. .. .condensed, it was like all the Evil settled at once. She decided she had to do something.

Karia was watching Dalias she had something special for him.

[Skitty Cat]

Unsure of what she could do, she glanced back at Christopher a look of anger coming to her eyes; she flew away from the group. Landing on yet another rooftop, she felt the rain hit her skin; looking up she smiled knowing she loves the rain.

Twilight listened for the distant sound of anyone coming, as she listened she pulled out a locket around her neck; a weak smirk on her lips she whispered softly, "Come on, you mustn't have forgotten what I stole from you." Hiding the locket once more she looked up, staring at the darkened sky as the rain hit her face.

Closing her eyes she listened even more closely, as she let her cat DNA take control she felt her powers also take control; opening her eyes she could tell that her eyes changed to cat-like. A smirk now coming to her lips, she fully surrounded to her cat DNA becoming a snow lepoard; she stayed on top of the building waiitng silently.

[Chosen Again]

Dalias saw a cat on the roof, some sort of cat anyway, that was weird because it was raining, soaked himself he thought he's check out what the cat was doing, maybe take it to safety or something. He rolled hsi eyes thinking about how soft he was but. . .

He landed on the roof next to the cat and began petting it. "You're a pretty girl aren't you?" he said to the cat in the way that people usually talked to animals.

Karia shook her head agrily as Dalias changes direction, the trap couldn't be moved, this was going to be irritating, she was having a bad enough day as it was. She crouched down again hoping that he would return.

[Skitty Cat]

Feeling someone petting the top of her head, she relaxed as she heard the person whisper, "You're a pretty girl aren't you?"

Purring in reply, Twilight didn't want to scare the person away; picking up a scent in the air she brushed it off. Enjoying it very much, she hoped that Dalias wouldn't leave; closing her eyes she didn't show any sign of distaste or dislike in the spot right now.

Looking around, his amber eyes watched the other chosen and the ones that joined; something really didn't feel right. Looking over to Shade, Dante and Demetrius something didn't feel right with that group; knowing that Luna was watching him. Yami teared his gaze away from the small group over to Luna, wondering what was up with that angry look; shrugging his shoulders the two talked without even saying anything.

[Stavvy]

Stavros landed, the rain slicked his wings and he willed them gone. I guess we'll wait for all of this to. . .end. thought he with a sigh. He looked around, most were off with the others, Dalias on the roof, Lycian, Altoran and a few others were off somewhere. "I can wait. . ." He said as he leaned against a wall, forgetting about the rain, or not caring.

[Tragic Fall]

Altoran wasn't affected by Lycian's words. That won't work anymore he thought with a glare. There was a rage inside of him. He felt it growing.

"I honestly couldn't care less." said Altoran," You're not the girl I fell in love with anymore." Altoran aimed Omega's Judgement at Lycian's heart. He put his finger close to the trigger and grinned a little.

"Killing you will be as easy to me as killing someone I didn't care about." said Altoran," You're beyond saving.....Forgive me."

"Altoran no!" yelled Maverick from behind. Altoran pulled the trigger, launching an insanely powerful blast of energy at Lycian.

[Miss Murder]

A million things happened at once to Lycian, one of them being that her gaze was kept to Altoran's dark eyes. And she was grinning. Smiling very wide. "I know, Altoran . . . I don't love you anymore either." she thought.

She intended to take the blow straight to her heart, to just die then and there. But then something awoke within her, nearly taking control of her. Faster than even she knew that she could move, Lycian had disappeared and then reappeared behind Altoran. When she did so, the beam of energy continued on its path and exploded into a large building. Debris came falling down amidst the falling rain.

"Why couldn't you have just died?" she whispered to him in his ear in her now even-more demonic voice and then leapt atop a building opposite the one that was now crashing down. "It would have made it easier on all of us!" she yelled, and then looked at the other Chosen.

"This is goodbye, you bastards!" she said to them. The rain was now falling down even harder around Lycian, and lighting flashed behind her, shadowing and illuminating her at the same time. "Have fun dying without me!" With that, and a final mocking glace at both Kristene and Altoran, Lycian was gone.

[Eternal Dream]

Altoran and Lycian's fight sounded in Isabeau's ears; but it sounded like the noise was coming to her through a long tunnel. Their angry voices struck a painful chord in her memory; a chord that brought back images of a horrid fight from six years before. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she buried her head even deeper into her arms. It seems as if nothing I do matters, she thought, despair pulling her down further; No matter what I try, I can't save anyone's love; not when I can't find love for myself. Why Zane? Why'd you have to do that to me? Why did you have to take my only hope of ever being fully human again?

She felt a sudden thundering beneath as the building she was on began to collapse from the force of Altoran's attack. Her eyes wide in surprise, Isabeau quickly opened her wings, hovering in place until an updraft swept her away from the crumbling building. As if that wasn't enough to shake her confidence, Lycian's next words froze Isabeau to the core.

"Why couldn't you have just died? It would have made it easier on all of us! This is goodbye, you bastards! Have fun dying without me!"

Isabeau hung in the air for a moment, uncertainty in her eyes. But suddenly, she made up her mind, and streaked after Lycian.

A confused look on her face, Airazor swept over above Isabeau. Unable to stay silent any longer, she asked gently, "What are you doing?"

Not looking up, the thief said simply, "I'm going after Lycian. If you're coming, than fine. But if not, find somewhere safe to roost, and wait there for me to find you."

Not satisfied with the answer, the hawk screeched, "But why are you going after her? What do you see in her that has you so interested?"

Still determind on her course, Isabeau said in a tone of finality, "Amazing as it might sound, of all the Chosen there, I can relate closest with Lycian; I see so much of myself in her, it's almost frightning. I'm no Seer, so I can't tell the future, but I can't let her take the same path that I have. I can't let her become anything like me."

A pensive frown grew on Airazor's face as they continued to follow Lycian. There was much in what Isabeau had and hadn't said. Understanding her friend's reason, she stayed silent, even though she still worried.

Lycian's senses were fully alert, and she heard the conversation of two characters a ways behind her. Grinning evily, Lycian seemed to disappear once more. To the keen eye, you could barely register that Lycian was disappearing in a burst of black flames. And then, nonetheless quickly, she reappeared directly above Isabeau.

Lycian outstretched her hand and claws, grabbing Isabeau by her throat and forcing her to the ground with great power and force, Lycian with her clawed hand digging ruthlessly into Isabeau's throat and foot on her stomach, pressing down without mercy.

"You relate to me, eh?" Lycian hissed, her dark black eyes and demonic voice filled with nothing less than anger. She was grinning, and her pure white canine teeth were elongated and pointed sharply. Growing ever the more demonic by the second, Lycian's ears were lightly pointed and her hair waved around her darkly, as if being lifted by an invisible force. But her ever-present beauty was still on her features and figure, betraying the demon that she now was.

[Stavvy]

Stavros heard what Lycian had said, he was now on the rubble that, five minutes ago, was a building. Lycian. . . it's that damned Dante isn't it? he thought as he looked around, "Where are you?" He whispered to himself. Lightning flashed in the sky as the rain fell harder, pelting anyone that it could reach.

"Dammit, Lycian, I don't want to fight you, but you're hurting her. . ." He jumped down and pulled his blade out, he weilded it with one hand, his other was bare, "Lycian why are you doing this?" He asked in a calm voice, as if he and her were just talking normally. If he had even talked to anyone normally. . .

[Miss Murder]

Lycian grinned at Stavros over her shoulder. "Because I have nothing left to live for, you damned idiot," she hissed in her ever-demonic tone.

She would kill him too. It didn't matter anymore. What concern was he to her? He never really cared about her, like Altoran, Kristene, Jailtin, Twilight, or any of the others. Lycian wasn't even sure if Aaron or Limia had ever cared about her either.

Lycian turned her head slowly back to Isabeau and tightened her grip on the theif's throat. Blood was streaking down her neck and was mixing with the blood. Isabeau's face was turning blue as Lycian punctured her throat ever more, without mercy or even a care about the thief's life.

[Eternal Dream]

Isabeau lost track of Lycian for a moment when the girl vanished. But her heightened hearing caught the faint whisper of movement as she appeared above her. Within moments, Lycian had forced her to the ground, her clawed hand to the theif's throat.

Airazor gave a shap, furious scream as she witnessed this horrible treatment of her friend. But something stopped her from diving after them; even though she dearly wished to rake Lycian's eyes from her face, the hawk stayed in the air, well aware of the danger it would pose for Isabeau if she acted rashly.

"You relate to me, eh?"

"Yes, I do. But don't try to kill me again; you wouldn't be able to do it anyway, because I can't die," a voice called from behind her. The bloodied illusion of Isabeau flickered and faded as the real one stepped in front of the other girl. She kept her eyes trained on the other girl, understanding all too well the haunted, life-less look within the dull orbs. They could have almost passed off as sisters; the same, flowing locks of midnight blackness, similar facial features; even their eyes were almost the same, though one had shades of gold while the other pair sparkled with clear grey in their blue depths.

But Lycian was clearly a werewolf, because of her ears; while Isabeau showed all the traces of a hawk because of her large, ever present wings. But she wasn't looking at outward similarities; rather, it was the person on the inside that interested her.

Watching her with her blue-gold eyes filled with compassion, Isabeau repeated, "Yes, I do. For reasons that I just can't explain at the moment, you and I are very much alike. And I am going to tell you this right now," her tone lowered to barely more than a whisperer, but the thief knew that Lycian would pick it up; "Don't throw your love away. You will live to regret it if you do. Take it from one who knows, don't discard those that you hold close to your heart. Don't do it, Lycian."

[Miss Murder]

Lycian straightened up, and flicked the illusion's obviously fake blood off of her claws. She either wasn't the least surprised at Isabeau's deception, or maybe she just didn't care, but Lycian didn't react surprised or any more angered as she already was. Anger . . . hatred . . . it felt good.

Lycian stood facing both Stavros and Isabeau on either side of her, and the hawk floating a ways away in front of her. Her head was turned to Isabeau as she listened to the girl's words. Only now did Lycian realize how much they looked alike. Well, at least when Lycian looked normal and not demonic. But those were past times. She was who she was now, and there was no turning back . . .

She was still grinning demonically, but the sympathetic tone in Isabeau's voice seemed to fill Lycian to the brim with anger and hatred. But still, she didn't act rashly. "You can't die? Oh, how unlucky for you. I suppose it's a wonderful sensation," Lycian hissed, and didn't seem to pay any attention whatsoever to Isabeau's advice.

"Love, life, and happiness are all extraordinarily overrated," thought Lycian. "I threw him away, and he threw me away. I don't love him anymore, and he doesn't love me. What lied in our dark pasts is just a speck of history now. It doesn't matter in the end . . . never has, never did, never will."

Shaking her head, Lycian said, "I don't have time for this. Quit following me, you damn fool, or I won't kill you . . . I'll just take your damn self to Hell with me." Glancing at Stavros, Lycian said, "That goes for you too, bastard. You're no friend of mine." Lycian repeated the words she had said earlier with such anger, such hatred, it would make most people flinch. With those dark and entirely true words, Lycian disappeared once more into the shadows. To any senses of most creatures, it would seem as if Lycian had simply disappeared out of existence.

This time, with the words she said to Stavros, she meant it.

[Stavvy]

Don't throw your love away. You will live to regret it if you do. Take it from one who knows, don't discard those that you hold close to your heart. Don't do it, Lycian."

He heard a whisper, only meant for Lycian. Stavros took a step forward, "Lycian, why do you PERSIST on thinking that no one's ever really cared about you? WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET THAT IDEA?!?!" He asked, raising his voice almost to a yell. He felt his right arm tense and his grip tightened on his blade.

His words fell in vain as Lycian had already vanished. "DAMN IT!" He yelled as he punched the wall behind him, with his ungloved hand. It sent a channel of cracks around his fist, blood trailed down the cracks. "Damn it, Lycian. . ." He said in a smaller voice, "What the hell's happened? WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN?!?" He yelled into the clouds.

I guess that what I thought was true. . .I don't truely have a home, I'm destined to wander until I die, if I ever die. . .

Stavros let his arm fall limp, the blood fell into the small puddle of rain.. "If I must wander, so be it. . ." He said as he walked past the rest of the Chosen, "This time I'm not turning back." He said as he kept walking.
