Yu-Gi-Oh: Monster Spirits

The ship was sailing through the crystal water of the Southern Sea. Birds were flying near the ship, while other were waiting for a fish to show itself and eat it. The sun was as hot as hell. This was probably linked to the deterioration of the planet.

That was happening outside the ship, while inside the ship everyone had different emotions. Other were feeling excited, other bored, other scared of what will follow... However, they would all find out what the future "holds" for them when they reach the Duel Academia!

Yu-Gi-Oh: Monster Spirits

"A solitary island floats in the southern seas. It is there that a school for up-and-coming duelists exists. The name of the school is Duel Academy High School For Champions or Duel Academia for short..." Lycron Tailor, a new student, revised. This was his first year in this school and he didn't know what to wait.

His heart was beating rapidly. "I have to cool down!" he advised himself, as he opened the door and went outside, on the deck of the ship. The deck was made of a very hard wood; it was difficult to smash it.

Then, Lycron, went near some seats and he sat there. "No one is here~!" he muttered as he scanned the place around him. No one was there except for the birds that were flying next to the ship. "Thirty minutes till we reach the Academy~" Lycron sighed as he looked at his watch, which was tied around his right arm. "It's kind of boring on the ship..."

Before the ship had left the port

"I's it okay?" a man with a deep voice asked two people. They were inside an abandoned building. Nobody had stepped his foot there for a long time. "You will spy for me. Got that?" the man questioned the two people again. His characteristics weren't discernible, cause he was hiding under the shadow of a column and he was wearing a hood as well.

"That's all I have to say to you. I will inform you when the attack is going to take place. Until then don't forget to inform me about what is happening. Good luck!" and with that the man turned away and walked slowly towards the exit of the building.

One of the two men, to whom the other man was speaking, was named Taichi Well. He was part of the organization and their plans. "So are you ready, Sleif?" Taichi asked the man, who was next to him. "It won't be an easy mission, you know, cause it isn't easy to find people, who can see spirits~" he warned him.

-----------------Before Ship Left----------------

"So are you ready, Sleif?" Taichi asked the man, who was next to him. "It won't be an easy mission, you know, cause it isn't easy to find people, who can see spirits!" Taichi said to Sleif. "Yes. It shall be quite a challenge. Though...that's what makes the chase even better!" replied Sleif, as he turned slightly and looked down at Taichi. "Come on! We should get moving!" he said, as he turned away completely and started to walk towards the exit of the building.

------------------Present----------------

Walking onto the front deck, on his third time around the ship, Damian gave a tired and bored huff of breath, as he came around one of the corners. "I'm so bored. We won't be there for probably another half an hour, and I've already look everywhere!" he said to himself, as he leaned across one of the railings, looking out towards the sea. Turning around, now facing away from the ocean, Damians gaze suddenly saw another person, this one was sitting on one of the seats.

"I don't remember seeing him below!" thought Damian as he slowly started to walk towards him. "Hi!" he said as he neared the seats. "Mind if I sit here?" Damian asked as he motion to one of the seats near to the boy.

"Hi! Mind if I sit here?" a boy who approached Lycron asked. Lycron before replying, examined him. He had spiky short black hair, and clear blue eyes. He stood at around 5'5, and wore a long sleeved dark blue jacket, with black jeans and a red shirt.

"Of course!" Lycron eventually replied politely and he left sufficient space for Damian to sit. Then, Lycron stared at the blue sky and he didn't say anything; fluffy white clouds were overpassing it. He didn't even introduce himself. But, after all this was his style; he didn't like speaking to unfamiliar people. It was against his ideals.

Meanwhile, from the shadows, a man was looking at those two, Damien and Lycron, however, neither of them realized his presence. The man, who was Taichi, wore a red-and-white striped long-sleeve shirt with a beige sleeveless vest on top and blue jeans. Orange-tinted goggles were worn over his copper eyes. Finally, he had red straight hair. Taichi, was the guy who was sent to the Academia as a spy.

"I won't reveal myself to them!" he thought. "It is just the fact that I don't like speaking!"

[Karate]

Zolen smiled as he watched his opponent's life points drop to 2000. His life points were relatively untouched, except for him of course, where he had raised his up to 10,000. "You made a mistake by atacking my monster." His opponent was rather angry, pissed off really that he so foolishyl walked into a trap. Zolen flipped over the card to reveal that his face down defense position monster. "Labyrinth Wall." Zolen began to chuckle.

"I hate you." The losing duelist said. He set one card face down and ended his turn. "That guy will probably try to finish me off. Unfortunately, I have a surprise for him on my turn." The guy had an inner monologue for a few moments.

"Okay then, I'll end this on my next turn." Zolen drew a card and smiled even harder. This guy had no poker face. "I place one card face down and play Chain Energy. I don't even have to do anything. Your deck will finish you off for me." Zolen switched Labyrinth Wall into attack mode and ended his turn. "This turn is your last, better make the most of it."

His opponent drew the card. "Exactly what I need." The young man played the card. "Snatch Steal. Now hand over that Wall. I want to make sure that you don't do anything to stop me from attacking you directly." The Labyrinth Wall card was moved over to the other duelist's side. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be attacking your life points directly. Guardian Kay'est attacks your Life Points directly for 1000." Zolen yawned. "Instead of pretending to not care, maybe you should take a look at our fields. I have your monster and you don't attack, so you SHOULD be scared."

Zolen forced another yawn. "Why don't you look down at my field. You'll see why I'm unimpressed." The other guy looked down at the table and saw "Negate Attack" flipped over. "Now that your attack's been nullified, I'll be gaining 1000 from your 'Snatch Steal' on my standby phase. On top of that, you lost 500 from laying 'Snatch Steal' because of my 'Chain Energy.' So if you'd please end your turn so that I can end this duel, because you are weak; and quite frankly, I don't see how you expected to beat me with only a monster that has 1000 attack. Were you even to sac it for something stronger, I have 'Magic Cylinder' on the field waiting for you. Do yourself a favor and just quit. I won't embarrass you further."

The duelist was annoyed and placed another card face down, reducing his life points to 1000. "GO!"
Zolen shook his head in pity. "Thank you for the life points. I draw, it doesn't matter what I drew because as soon as my turn is over- I take that back. I play 'Ookazi', bringing you life-" He was going to end the duel, but he was interrupted. "Not so fast. I play 'Magic Drain.' If you can't discard a spell card, 'Ookazi' doesn't work. So can you?" Zolen smiled again and simply retorted "no I cannot." Zolen's card was sent to the graveyard and simply turned over a card on his field. "Cemetary Bomb kid, you lose."

The other guy was baffled. "How do I lose? What does that card do?"

The winner sighed and showed the other duelist his card. "For every card in your opponent's graveyard, they take 100 damage. You have 30 cards in your graveyard, I've been counting. That's 3000 damage to you. If we could go into negatives, you'd be at -2000." Zolen looked at his watch. "Oh crap I'm late!" He picked up all of his cards and ran off, but not before taking "Snatch Steal", which was promised to him if he won. Well not that card specifically, but any card he wanted; which happened to be "Snatch Steal"

"Of course!" the boy replied to Damian, as he moved over giving plenty of room to sit. "Thanks!" said Damian taking the seat, before giving another huff of boredom. "Sorry, I should have introduced myself. My names Damian, Damian Roberts!" Damian said to the boy, as he turned towards him. "I can't wait till we finally reach the academy!" said Damian, as he turned to look towards the ocean again.

"Thanks!" said Damian taking the seat, before giving another huff of boredom. "Sorry, I should have introduced myself. My names Damian, Damian Roberts!" Damian said to Lycron, as he turned towards him. "I can't wait till we finally reach the academy!" said Damian, as he turned to look towards the ocean again.

"Me too" Lycron replied immediately. "As for my name it is Lycron. Pleased to meet you!" he looked and smiled at Damian. At this time he checked his watch again. "We will reach sooner or later. We have to wait twenty-five more minutes till we reach the Academia!" Lycron sighed. "I can't wait!" he thought and he stood up.

"Well... Damian, would you like to duel me? I know it is too early for that, but it is a good practice" Lycron asked him embarrassingly, but cheerfully at the same time.

"Me too. As for my name it is Lycron. Pleased to meet you!" said Lycron as he looked at Damian. "Nice to meet you Lycron!" replied Damian, smiling to him. "We will reach sooner or later. We have to wait twenty-five more minutes till we reach the Academia!" Lycron said, as he checked his watch. "Well... Damian, would you like to duel me? I know it is too early for that, but it is a good practice." Damian, perked his head up a little, as he heard that.

"Sure. That sounds like fun!" said Damian as he stood up from the seat, looking at either end of the empty deck. "I think this is a good a place as any, if that's ok!" Damian said to Lycron, as he stood in the large empty space on the deck.

"Yeah! It is okay to duel here" said Lycron and he took out his duel disk from his bag. It wasn't any special duel disk. It was a common type; the one that the most people owned. Without losing time he attached his duel disk left hand and he walked to the one of the two sides of the deck.

"I am ready!" he announced to Damian as he grabbed his deck from his pocket, he shuffled it and he put it in the deck slot of the duel disk. Then some lights growled and the hologram of his life points appeared; 4000. "So, I think that am going to begin!" He didn't ask Damian if he minded, but he knew that he would not have a problem with it.

He removed the first five cards from his deck. "DUEL!" he yelled and simultaneously he drew another one and added it to the other. He now had six cards in his hand.

"I..." he stopped for a while to check his hand, and after he figured out what he was going to do, he continued. "I summon The Black Flame Dragon Horus LV 4 from my hand in attack mode!" he placed a monster on an empty monster slot and after a while a Dragon materialized in front of him and he sat on the deck. The dragon's attack was 1600.

"That's all for now! Your turn! By the way, be careful, cause the wind might take away your cards." he added, before ending.

"Yeah! It is okay to duel here" Damian heard Lycron say as he took out his duel disk, and placed it onto his arm. From the looks of it, the duel disk looked quite ordinary. Just the usually looking ones, that were used throughout the academy.

"I am ready!" Lycron announced to Damian as he grabbed his deck from his pocket, he shuffled it and he put it in the deck slot of the duel disk. Then some lights growled and the hologram of his life points appeared; 4000. "So, I think that am going to begin!" Damia nodded his head in approval as he bent down and took out his own duel disk.

Preferring this version, to the more sleeker ones, Damian took out a version of one of the more original duel disks, from back in the time of battle city. Placing it onto his arm, the machine lit into life, the two sides of it connecting to the front, before rotating to his left. Taking out his own deck, Damian shuffled it, before he slotted it into the disk.

"DUEL!" Damian said, just as Lycron said it again, and the match instantly began. "I summon The Black Flame Dragon Horus LV 4 from my hand in attack mode!" Lycron said as the holographic version of the dragon appeared on the field. "That's all for now! Your turn! By the way, be careful, cause the wind might take away your cards." said Lycron, as he ended his turn.

"I will, don't worry about me!" replied Damian, as he waved his hand a little in the air, instantly shotting it back down, and holding onto his guards, as they were just about to blow away. "That was close!" thought Damian as he drew a card form his deck.

"Ok. I start by summoning to the field, Herald of Creation, in attack mode!" Damian said as he placed the monster card on his disk, causing a rather impressive light show to appear on the field, as the monster rose from the ground. "I also place one card face down, and attack with Herald of Creation." as the face down card materialised on the field, the monster leaped forward towards Lycron's Black Flame Dragon Horus LV 4, sticking it with her staff, shattering a causing 200 points of damage to Lycron.

"That ends my turn!" said Damian as he awaited for the next move, by Lycron.

"Oh, no my Horus!" Lycron complained. "I could have won, if he didn't have destroyed my monster!" he thought and he drew a card from the top of his deck. He didn't say anything; again he was thinking about his next move.

"I am afraid that his face down card is a trap card, and he will activate it once I attack! But regardless, I have to attack!" He chose one card of the six he had in his hand and he placed it on the duel disk.

"I summon Luster Dragon in attack mode!" Again a dragon appeared in front of Lycron, but this time the dragon was bigger; much bigger. He was blue, except for some parts of his body, had small red and sinister eyes and sharp teeth. They could even break easily iron!

"Then I place a face down card", a card materialized in front of him and behind of Luster Dragon, "and I attack your monster with Luster Dragon!"

Luster Dragon opened his big mouth and energy formed. After a while it took the shape of a ball, and he shot it towards Herald of Creation.

"I hope that he has nothing to protect his monster!" Lycron wished.

As Damian watched Lycron's life points reduce down to 3800, he couldn't help but think that this felt like old times, just dueling. His atention was suddenly brought back when he heard Lycron start his turn. "I summon Luster Dragon in attack mode!"said Lycron as a much larger blue dragon appeared on the field, with small red and sinister eyes and sharp teeth, that looked strong enough to break easily iron!

"Then I place a face down card", a card materialized in front of him and behind of Luster Dragon, "and I attack your monster with Luster Dragon!" said Lycron as the large dragon roared, gathering energy into a ball in its mouth, firing it at Herald of Creation.

Just as the orb of energy was coming down towards Herald of Creation, Damian suddenly raised his hand to his face down card, revealing it to be a trap card. "I activate the trap card, Draining Shield!" Damian said,as the card on the field was now standing straight up. "This card negates one of your monsters attack, and also increases my life points with the same number of your attack points!" as he said that, a large shield appeared around Herald of Creation, as the energy ball slammed into it.

A few seconds after the shield and orb slammed into each other, the shield suddenly began to disappear, as the ball of energy did as well, going into Damian's duel disk, and raising his life points by 1900.

4000 --> 5900

"I hope that was your turn ending, I draw!" Damian said to Lycron, as he drew a card from his deck, looking over his hand.
"I sacrifice, Herald of Creation, to summon to the field, Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6, in attack mode!" said Damian, as Herald disappeared from the field, and a large mechanical looking dragon erupted from the ground.

"I play one more face down card, and attack with Horus!" Damian said, as the large dragon spread its huge metal wings, as it gathered burning flames in its beak, before launching it at Luster Dragon.
