15 minutes ago...

The ShinRa Building, or at least what would be the ShinRa Building after it and the city were complete, was lit up like a Christmas Tree. Floor 49 was the most active floor considering the fact it held the HQ for SOLDIERs which earned it the nickname of Floor SOLDIER. A lot of ShinRa Grunts also were on the floor and patrolled the area, ensuring the SOLDIERs were kept safe for the war effort. No one was prepared for what would happen that night. Several Grunts weren't keeping to the normal patrol routes and branched off towards the central area of the floor where the Administrative and Command Area were.

These were no ShinRa Grunts. As they threw off the uniforms and pulled out swords and guns, it become more noticeable that all these 'people' were the same. Genesis Clones. They kept walking, a lone 3rd class SOLDIER bumped into one and became to apologize before he was cut down by a sword through his stomach. The Clones were kept walking to the Admin and Command Zone. Once inside they found no problem in killing and slashing down the desk workers of the area. Then they finally completed their mission.

They stood in a circle and one place an object onto the ground. They nodded at one another as the Clone rose back up. Then all raised a hand towards object, red and orange twisting flames appeared in their palms and they all fired Fire magic at the object. The effect was destructive to say the least. The entire Central Zone was destroyed, and the entire ShinRa building shock. Thanks to the engineering of the building, and the fact most doors were closed on the floor, the fire was contained to the Central Zone but the power to the SOLDIER Floor was knocked up. Darkness flooded the area.

"Ah! Darn what the hell was that!?", was Connor's first reactions as he laid there on his ass. He looked round to see many others were off their feet as well and several weren't moving but appeared uninjured. He jumped up onto his feet and regained his balance after a few minutes, "Is everyone alright!?", he called to the people that were crowded around him. Most replied back while a few simply made hand signals. It was there that Connor remembered his 'partner'. Looking around the floor hastily, his eyes fell onto his smaller companion that lay stomach down on the floor.

He ran and fell the boy's side, "Private Strife?". No answer. Not even a groan, "Private, can you hear me?". Again no answer, "God's damnit Cloud wake up!", yelled Connor who was now getting frustrated and impatience with the boy.

The boy groaned and rubbed the back of his head before he sat up, "What the hell was that, sir?", the boy asked groggily. Phew thought Connor. At least Cloud was alive. That was one good thing about the current situation.

Helping the Private to his feet he looked at the boy's face, "Cloud...how many times must I say this? I don't like any this 'sir' and official nonsense...you'll my equal in skill alone so just call me Connor, alright?", sighed the young man. Cloud simply nodded, still too groggy to argue back. Connor surveyed the are further, "Whatever it was Private...it sure done some damage and took the power as well...c'mon we gotta find out what's going on...", he said as he let his younger companion go and started walking to the Command Area. As he neared the door to the Command Area he was stopped by a Grunt, "Stand aside I'm 2nd Class and I demand access to this Area".

"Sir...the Command and Administrative Area was completely destroyed in the explosion", replied the Grunt.

Connor gasped, "The entire section!?". The Grunt simply nodded back which caused Connor to curse, "Keep everyone back from this Area then and have the fires put out asap", ordered the young man as he turned back to Cloud who sighed and then nodded. Both began walking up and down the Area, with no 1st Class currently on duty, Connor took control of the people here, "Alright settle down! Form groups based on your rank! 2nd class here...", he said pointing to an area just to the left of him, "...and 3rd Class here", he said pointing to the right. He stood with Cloud as he watched the people start to form groups. Hopefully he could build up a picture of who was here and who wasn't and who was injured and needed help the most. He hoped it wouldn't take the firefighting and medic personnel too long to arrive.

Exitus looked at the destruction his army had brought apon the ShinRA Building. Even on the ground floor, he could tell the work was going well. The clones were infferior to him, but none the less efficiant. Suddenly, the microphone in his ear rang. "Is the attack complete yet?", a voice said over the microphone. Exitus started to speak. "Almost," he said. "Phase One is complete. On standby for Phase Two." The microphone buzzed again.

"Phase Two?", the voice repeated. "What the hell Exitus? I did not give you orders for this!" Exitus spoke once more. "I assure you, Brother," he continued. "You will approve of Phase Two." Exitus then began to walk into the ShinRA Building, flames spawning all around. "Wait, Exitus," the voice commanded. "What exactly IS Phase Two?" Exitus drew his sword and stood still. "Eliminate all SOLDIER Opretives, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Class." The voice on the other end of the microphone sighed. "Very well," it said. "I approve. Commence Phase Two. Now!" Exitus began to charge into the building, with several clones in tow behind.

as ringa sat drinking tea, he heard a large explosion. "shit!" he said, "that came from SOLDIER floor...." as he ran to the SOLDIER floor, he heard "Eliminate all SOLDIER Opretives, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Class." ringa looked from behind a wall. "you odviously forgot about the turks."he said, and drew his longsword.

Exitus turned around to see a Turk behind him. "You Turks," he said. "Are more than troublesome..." He also drew his sword, staring visciously at his opponent. Then, he turned to the Genesis Copies. "Go forth," he comanded. "And avenge." The clones ran into the building, ready to fight to the death. While Exitus prepared to fight one of his top annoyances.

"C'mon settle down!", ordered Connor yet again. He had managed to get people into groups and fire control teams and medics had arrived but they was still alot of talk going on amongst the SOLDIERs and many were still in shock. He looked at Cloud and sighed again before the sound of gunfire and shouting silenced the groups. Connor sworn under his breath and motioned Cloud to follow him, "The rest of you stay here...those who can still fight cover all exits, that understood?", he whispered as he earned a row of nods in return.

Connor and Cloud slowly made their way downstairs, debris from the blast covered the stairs and other floors, "Seems the blast caused quite a shake up", he mused as he continued walking down the stairs. The sound of gunfire and the shouting became louder. They made it down the bottom only to come face to with a warzone. Bodies and debris littered the floor and several ShinRa grunts were fighting with Genesis Clones, "Cloud go check them all and see if any are still alive! I'll handle these guys!", he ordered as he jumped from the stairs and landed in the middle of the reception area. He turned to the Grunts, "Fall back...I'll handle these four personally", he grinned as he pulled out Durendal.

Raising the sword, Connor ran forward and straight towards the clone directly infront of him. He launched himself into the air and landed behind the Clone. With one slash through the torso the Clone's threat level became 0. The other three now rushed at Connor, their swords raised and one had his palm outstretched, ready to use magic. Connor swung the Durendal in a horizontal slash, the blade connecting with the head of one Clone and slapping it against another. Another two were down and the last one now rose his hand and yelled out, "FIRA!".

"Awwww crap!", cursed Connor as he raised the Durendal in a defensive manner. The magical fire hit the sword's blade head on and Connor was pushed back and onto his ass once again. The Clone, taking advantage of his foe's current position, raised his own sword and prepared to end the young SOLDIER's life. That was, if it hadn't been for the three bullets that had penetrated his body and forced him onto the ground, his lifeforce slowly draining from him. Cloud rushed to his friend's side and helped him up, "Remind me never to let a Fira spell hit me that close again", laughed the SOLDIER. Cloud laughed too and nodded before he turned to look outside, the boy looked visible shaken up but his eyes were focused on the two figures before him. Connor too looked into the direction of the two figures and immediately jumped up, "Cloud take those three Grunts upstairs and head back to the SOLDIER floor...get them to send a couple 3rd Class with two 2nd Class down here right now", ordered the young SOLDIER as he jumped back onto his feet.

Cloud nodded and ran over and then disappeared with the other Grunts. Connor tightened his grip on Durendal and ran outside towards the fight currently taking place between a weird Genesis Clone and an unknown. The unknown turned out to be Turk Operative Ringa, "Sir, allow me to cut in", grinned Connor as he rushed to the side of the Turk. Connor raised his sword in preparation for a counterattack to the Turk's Firaga. A counterattack was highly likely and Connor wasn't gonna take any chances with this weird Clone.

"finally, some help around here" ringa said, "the others are asleep, i was up drinking tea, when i heard the explosion. i came to see what it was, and found this sight"this wasnt a good time to talk, but he knew this would be over very quickly, no matter what the clone managed to conjure.

Smoke appeared all around Exitus. Luckly, he managed to cast Protect before the impact. He then heard other voices around him. "Hmmmmm," Exitus said to himself. "I seem to be outnumbered. Oh well, I have all I need here." Exitus jumped out of the smoke to see his attackers. "Hmmm," he said, looking around. "Turk Ringa, SOLDIER Operative.......... Connor, is it? And several others I don't need to know...." Exitus then summoned something he had oly used once before, a large black wing on his right sholder. He then began to take off, leaving the others behind. "I have enough data for now, but don't worry, we will meet again." Exitus left more clones behind, knowing they would only weigh him down.

Connor did as he was ordered and gathered the SOLDIERs and Grunts that had been wounded outside the safety of the ShinRa building. He hastily gathered them up and ordered them back inside as he continued to defend them against Clones, "HURRY UP!", he yelled as another Clone fell by his blade. Damn...they just keep coming thought Connor as he could feel that he was getting weaken by the second. Seemed his body hadn't completely gotten over the shock of the blast.

Two Clones came at him. Both of their swords raised. Connor shouted a warcry and two wings appeared from his back, "NOOOOO!", he yelled as he rushed through the two Clones, his sword going through one Clone's back and his pistol fired directly into the side of the other. Connor landed about two meters from where he was but he was now on the other side and directly beside the ShinRa Building's entrance. More Clones appeared but they gunned down by Cloud and two Grunts.

Cloud ran over and offered Connor his shoulder before he dragged his friend into the building, "You shouldn't push yourself...you know what happens when you use them", commented the younger blonde as he helped Connor to sit against a wall. Connor breathed heavily but otherwise he was fine, "We should get you upstairs...you're too weak to keep fighting right now", mused Cloud. He took Connor's arm again and they started moving up the stairs.

Draco sat in the lunch room as he let out a yawn. Today was moving so slow, he wished that something interesting would happen soon...

His wish was granted in the form of a loud explosion which made Draco fall out of his chair. "Jesus, what the hell was that?" Draco exclaimed as he stood up. Then another SOLDIER passed the luch room and saw Draco and said "Come on! Connor is gathering all of the SOLDIER's in the foyer!" he shouted as he ran off towards the foyer area.

Draco made a dash for his room and grabbed his trusted blade 'Ragnarok' before running towards the foyer area. Upon arriving, all the SOLDIER's had gathered around and Connor's was giving out orders to everyone.

"Alright settle down! Form groups based on your rank! 2nd class here...", he said pointing to an area just to the left of him, "...and 3rd Class here", he said pointing to the right.

Draco moved to his designated area as everyone was trying to do their best to not panic, but the effort proved futile. The place was in an uproar as everyone was conserving about what could've caused the explosion "Come on, settle down!" Connor said trying to calm the crowd. The scene was then broken by the soud of gunfire

Everyone started to panic again before Connor motioned for slience. "The rest of you stay here...those who can still fight cover all exits, that understood?" Connor said as everyone nodded in agreement. Draco moved with several 2nd and 3rd class SOLDIER's to an uncovered exit.

Draco could hear the sounds of swords clanging and gunfire ringing out as Draco separated his one blade into two seperate blades in preparation for whatever was causing this destruction.

ringa slashed as they all came at him. "this isnt working"he said, "we need to set off a bomb.."he looked and saw a SOLDIER named draco. "draco, you got dynamyte?"he asked him. he continued to kill the clones.

Connor and Cloud made it back up to the SOLDIER Floor. The young blonde let Conner balance himself against a wall and he frowned. He hated it when Connor used his...'advantage'. The older was still recovering but already he could see that his elder wasn't as tired out as he had originally though. Around them there were SOLDIERs shouting and yelling as the Clones fought and fought on. Ringa was also among those defending the floor. Connor signaled for him to lean down so he talk directly into his ear. Cloud nodded in reply to the words that Connor has said.

The blonde got up from his knee and walked over to where the Turk was now fighting beside another SOLDIER named Draco. Cloud rushed to Draco's side and spoke to him and Ringa over the gunfire and sword slashing, "Connor says that you can't use bombs on and nearby this floor! It's structure is already weak and another explosion could bring the entire floor down from underneath us!", he yelled as he fired his rifle and killed a Clone. He looked back at Connor and noticed that two SOLDIERs had moved to defend him. Good, he's still safe then he thought as he smiled.

The Clones were becoming lesser and lesser. Already they had lost many and their leaders were going to allow this slaughter to continue for much longer. Already the word to pull out had been sent to many of the Clones. A general retreat started with those at the back leaving through using their wings. Others left but the ones already in the ShinRa building stayed. There would be used as a distraction as the others retreated.

"alright then cloud, we'll take care of the rest" ringa told him, "you get back to conner" he said. he continued to destroy the clones, but each was getting stronger to distract them from the rest of the army. "draco, we need to kill these things quick"he said. "THUNDAGA!"he chanted, and thunder was released from his hand, killing a clone, and all behind it.

Exitus landed ina barren wasteland, surronded by nothing. There stood a man, cloaked and face covered. "Exitus," the man spoke. "What have you brought me?" Exitus looked into only what he could see, the man's eyes. Then, Exitus' eyes turned bright white. The man starred into them, then broke their stare. "I see....," he remarked. "Your mission was.....half succesful." Exitus kneeled down. "I beg of your forgiveness.......Brother." "Very well..... Let us go...." The man stood up, and brought out a black wing similar to Exitus'. Exitus did the same and they both flew off.

Luckly, he managed to cast Protect before the impact. He then heard other voices around him. "Hmmmmm," Exitus said to himself. "I seem to be outnumbered. Oh well, I have all I need here." Exitus jumped out of the smoke to see his attackers. "Hmmm," he said, looking around. "Turk Ringa, SOLDIER Operative.......... Connor, is it? And several others I don't need to know...." Exitus then summoned something he had oly used once before, a large black wing on his right sholder. He then began to take off, leaving the others behind. "I have enough data for now, but don't worry, we will meet again." Exitus left more clones behind, knowing they would only weigh him down.

He hastily gathered them up and ordered them back inside as he continued to defend them against Clones, "HURRY UP!", he yelled as another Clone fell by his blade. Damn...they just keep coming thought Connor as he could feel that he was getting weaken by the second. Seemed his body hadn't completely gotten over the shock of the blast. Two Clones came at him. Both of their swords raised. Connor shouted a warcry and two wings appeared from his back, "NOOOOO!", he yelled as he rushed through the two Clones, his sword going through one Clone's back and his pistol fired directly into the side of the other. Connor landed about two meters from where he was but he was now on the other side and directly beside the ShinRa Building's entrance. More Clones appeared but they gunned down by Cloud and two Grunts. Cloud ran over and offered Connor his shoulder before he dragged his friend into the building, "You shouldn't push yourself...you know what happens when you use them", commented the younger blonde as he helped Connor to sit against a wall. Connor breathed heavily but otherwise he was fine, "We should get you upstairs...you're too weak to keep fighting right now", mused Cloud. He took Connor's arm again and they started moving up the stairs.

Today was moving so slow, he wished that something interesting would happen soon... His wish was granted in the form of a loud explosion which made Draco fall out of his chair. "Jesus, what the hell was that?" Draco exclaimed as he stood up. Then another SOLDIER passed the luch room and saw Draco and said "Come on! Connor is gathering all of the SOLDIER's in the foyer!" he shouted as he ran off towards the foyer area. Draco made a dash for his room and grabbed his trusted blade 'Ragnarok' before running towards the foyer area. Upon arriving, all the SOLDIER's had gathered around and Connor's was giving out orders to everyone. "Alright settle down! Form groups based on your rank! 2nd class here...", he said pointing to an area just to the left of him, "...and 3rd Class here", he said pointing to the right. Draco moved to his designated area as everyone was trying to do their best to not panic, but the effort proved futile. The place was in an uproar as everyone was conserving about what could've caused the explosion "Come on, settle down!" Connor said trying to calm the crowd. The scene was then broken by the soud of gunfire Everyone started to panic again before Connor motioned for slience. "The rest of you stay here...those who can still fight cover all exits, that understood?" Connor said as everyone nodded in agreement. Draco moved with several 2nd and 3rd class SOLDIER's to an uncovered exit. Draco could hear the sounds of swords clanging and gunfire ringing out as Draco separated his one blade into two seperate blades in preparation for whatever was causing this destruction.

"this isnt working"he said, "we need to set off a bomb.."he looked and saw a SOLDIER named draco. "draco, you got dynamyte?"he asked him. he continued to kill the clones.

The young blonde let Conner balance himself against a wall and he frowned. He hated it when Connor used his...'advantage'. The older was still recovering but already he could see that his elder wasn't as tired out as he had originally though. Around them there were SOLDIERs shouting and yelling as the Clones fought and fought on. Ringa was also among those defending the floor. Connor signaled for him to lean down so he talk directly into his ear. Cloud nodded in reply to the words that Connor has said. The blonde got up from his knee and walked over to where the Turk was now fighting beside another SOLDIER named Draco. Cloud rushed to Draco's side and spoke to him and Ringa over the gunfire and sword slashing, "Connor says that you can't use bombs on and nearby this floor! It's structure is already weak and another explosion could bring the entire floor down from underneath us!", he yelled as he fired his rifle and killed a Clone. He looked back at Connor and noticed that two SOLDIERs had moved to defend him. Good, he's still safe then he thought as he smiled. ~ The Clones were becoming lesser and lesser. Already they had lost many and their leaders were going to allow this slaughter to continue for much longer. Already the word to pull out had been sent to many of the Clones. A general retreat started with those at the back leaving through using their wings. Others left but the ones already in the ShinRa building stayed. There would be used as a distraction as the others retreated.

"draco, we need to kill these things quick"he said. "THUNDAGA!"he chanted, and thunder was released from his hand, killing a clone, and all behind it.

There stood a man, cloaked and face covered. "Exitus," the man spoke. "What have you brought me?" Exitus looked into only what he could see, the man's eyes. Then, Exitus' eyes turned bright white. The man starred into them, then broke their stare. "I see....," he remarked. "Your mission was.....half succesful." Exitus kneeled down. "I beg of your forgiveness.......Brother." "Very well.....
