Pokemon: Summit Nine

"No that shouldnt have failed,with the Sand-attack and Sableye so close."Thought Raiden.He needed a plan that would work and fast.The only other move he could think of was a TM one but Aipom hadnt fully learned it.But Raiden had no other choice it was that or to lose the battle.He was going to wait for Sableye to get as close as possible so Aipom wouldnt be as hurt and maybe not recieve a flinch.

"Aipom now use Thunderbolt with your tail!"Raiden yelled.Aipom's tail then started to glow and in a quick second Thunderbolt was used.Right before Sableye hit Aipoms tail it looked like the two attacks merged.But the light was to much to handle so Raiden couldnt see what happened.

Trea watched as Raiden quickly made Aipom use Thunderbolt. 'With Aipom's tail?' He thought to himself. 'Even more of a reason to take it out.' Trea thought. The two attacks merged together, making a blinding like, forcing Trea to shield his eyes. "What happened?!" He asked himself. Trea looked into the light it seemed that because of the combination of the two moves, either both pokemon would be effected by them, or each attack acted as a defense against the other.

"But I know for a fact that that attack barely hurt Sableye. He may not be a ground type, but with a strict diet of nothing but gems and rocks from caves, he's built up a sort of immunity. Nothing but rocks in his stomach." Trea said, waiting for the light to fade. And as it did, Sableye was standing in the middle of the field. Sableye was panting, and it looked around the room. It's Trick Room was still in effect, so for now, he was the fastest pokemon on the field.

"It worked I cant believe it had worked."Thought Raiden.Aipom only tried it 2 times before and it worked the 3rd time.He was so amazed and forgot about the battle for a second.Until he noticed Sableye comming out of the light.He then waited for all of the light to disappear since Aipom was in the middle of it and he made it.

He then noticed Aipom panting but his tail wasnt moving as much as it should be but it just seemed weak.Raiden was glad that he was ok and that he pushed himself to use the TM.He then wondered for how much longer Trick Room could stay up since it had been awhile since it was last up so it should come down soon.But if Aipom can use a TM that fast then he could probably be capable of using what he learned from his training.

Trea watched as Aipom appeared out of the light as well. "Damnit." He whispered. "With that Aipom being a normal type, all of Sableye's ghost moves are useless." He whispered to himself. There were only a few other options Trea had to use now. "Sableye, Substitute." Trea said. By taking some of it's health, Sableye created a substitute of itself. Now, standing side by side, were two Sableye. "Good, now, each of you run at Aipom." Trea said. With the power of Trick Room, Sableye ran at blinding speeds. "Now, Double Team!" He yelled, getting even more excited. Both the original Sableye, and Substitute Sableye created copies of themselves.

The copies began running all around Aipom, in hopes of confusing it. "Now, Zen Head Butt!" Trea yelled. All of the clones stopped running, and their heads began to glow. They all charged at Aipom, heads ready to strike.

[Zero]

Raiden saw as all the Sableye clones were headed towards Aipom and were surrounding him so he was gonna try Thunderbolt again.Since all the Sableye were surrounding Aipom it would definately work.But like before he was going to wait until they were close enough to hit them.He was also going to wait until later to show what Aipom can do.

"Aipom try using Thunderbolt again?"Aipom then nodded."Ok wait until I tell you."Said Raiden.Raiden then looked at the Sableye's they moved real fast and then stopped and then all moved at Aipom with Zen Headbutt."Ok Aipom now."Aipom then charged up and Thunderbolts were hitting the field but it wasnt as big as the first one though.All Raiden had to do was wait for it to be over to see what happened.

Trea watched as the mass amount of Sableye had charged at Aipom. Trea then looked at Raiden. 'Not smart to send an attack until your ready to use it.' Trea thought to himself with a smile. 'Now I can counter.' He thought, thinking of which attack to use. 'Aipom is a normal!' He thought, his eyes widening. 'Why didn't I think about it at the start!? Normal is weak against fighting!' Trea then smiled. "Run around, try your best to dodge the lighting!" Trea yelled to the Sableye clones. The Sableye canceled their Zen Headbutt attack and began to run around the arena. The clones tried desperately to dodge the lightning attack. A few were hit, disappearing in a puff of smoke. The clones then began to run in a circle around Aipom.

"Wait for it." He whispered to himself. He waited as the clones were running around. "Now!" He yelled. A handful of Sableye ran at Aipom, each pulling their arms back, ready to punch. "Brick Break!" Trea yelled. Each Sableye threw a furry of punches at the normal pokemon.

[Zero]

Raiden watched as Every single time the Sableye was being attacked it never got hurt or barely damaged.While Aipom had taken some damage from the attacks.He then looked back at the battle and saw the clones running around Aipom trying to dodge the Thunderbolt.Some of them made it but others disappeared.They then stopped to use Brick Break but Aipom could handle that since in his training he mostly fought fighting Pokemon and he was able to take in most of the damage so he turned his weakness around.

Raiden laughed quietly at the attack.He then noticed how many attacks it had to use and it probably want a good idea since it could tire out the Sableye.Aipom then might not be able to use Thunderbolt so quickly again so he thought of using another attack."Aipom try to spin around and use Astonish on the Sableyes."Raiden thought this way the clones would disappear and maybe leave the real one.

Trea watched the battle as Every time Aipom used an attack on Sableye, it was either an attack that did little damage to a dark ghost pokemon, or it was a move that Aipom barely knew, meaning he had little control over it. And seeing how Sableye's defense, and attack were greater than Aipom's, Raiden's poor choice in attacks is what caused all of this so called "not getting hurt at all." Plus Aipom shouldn't be able to dodge, or counter so many attacks, so quickly, seeing as how trick room was still in effect, meaning Aipom was way slower than Sableye was now.


Trea then watched at how Aipom just stood there. "That's a bad move. No matter how many fighting pokemon you fight, you can't overcome your pokemon's weakness. If you were to light a fire, and throw water on it, the water would go out. No mater how many times you do this, the fire will still be put out by the water. This goes for Aipom, you can fight millions of fighting pokemon, but with Aipom's poor defense, and that Fighting moves are it's ultimate weakness, that's a bad move on your part." Trea said. All the Sableye continued with their attack.

Raiden then decided that this battle may take to long.It already seemed twice as long as the last one.So he was just going to end it and Aipom may get badly hurt.So he took out Aipoms Pokeball and pointed it at Aipom.A red beam came out and Aipom was sent in it right before he was attacked.

"Sorry buddy but this battle was just pointless."Said Raiden to Aipoms Pokeball.

He then put the Pokeball away and headed out of the arena.He didnt care what people thought of him or the battle.He did know that the battle wasnt getting anywhere and it was match between a Normal and a Ghost type so it would take a long time.

Azen/Vaporeon watched the battle come to a close. Aipom was recalled to its pokeball.

"A ghost vs a normal type? That was a rediculous type match up from the get go." Vaporeon blunk talking telekinetically.

"So, have you come up with attacks yet or are you simply going to sit there taking hits like in an RPG game?" Xatu watched his master/pokemon partner.

"Hmm, I know on'es going to be Ice Beam. The other three... I think...Rain Dance. Uhhh. Mud Slap and Helping Hand. I'd pick Brine, but you know, I want to help out as much as possible." Azen smiled a bit as did Quatum.

"Thanks a lot Quatum."
"Don't thank me just yet. We still have to face a double battle."

The two continued to watch until their turn...

Trea watched as Aipom was called back to his pokeball. "That was stupid of both of us." He said to himself. "Ghost vs. Normal. Something was bound to go wrong somewhere." He said, making his way over to Raiden. "Good match." He said, reaching his hand out to Raiden. "But at least you just had to fight Sableye." He said with a smile. "He isn't really my starter pokemon.' He said with a smile. "Weavile is at out training with another group of Weavile. He'll be at Summit Nine when we get there." Trea said, looking up at Sableye. "I actually caught Sableye a week ago." He said with a stupid smile. Sableye smiled. "Sable!" It said. Trea then walked off to the bleachers, waiting to see what happened next.


"And that's the last of our battles!" The judge said to the crowd. As soon as he finished speaking, the women who signed everyone up, walked up to him. She handed him a piece of paper. "It seems we have a.....last minute entry." The judge looked up from the paper. "Will Vaporeon and Xatu please come to the stage." He said, a bit confused.

"We're up buddy." Azen and Quatum moved to the arena. It was still scarred from the previous matches. The two waited for their opponents...

[Rhapsody Flows]

Thankfully, the battle between Raiden's Aipom and Trea's Sableye wasn't as rough as the last competitors. In the end, Trea and his pokemon were the winners. When it was finally over, Cam emitted a lazy yawn and Glaceon did the same. She smiled and looked down at the pokemon. "So, you're bored too?" Glaceon bobbed her head up and down in a drowsy-like state.

Without a moment to spare, the female stood to her feet, while Glaceon was firmly held in her arms. No point in staying in the contest any longer. Besides, the contest should've been over. Raiden and Trea were supposedly the last two contestants.

"It seems we have a.....last minute entry. Will Vaporeon and Xatu please come to the stage." Cam abruptyl stopped. "Wha? A Vaporean. . . and a Xatu?" She sounded just as confused as the announcer did. Cam fully turned her body back to the arena, but did not go back to her seat. And right there, she saw the two pokemon come to the stage. Both the trainer and her Glaceon looked quzzically at the pair.

Devek and Absol rose to their feet and began to walk down the stairs. It seems Cam was just as bored as he was as she, too, was leaving. "Two sad battles in a row..." Devek said, loud enough for Cam to most likely hear.

"It seems we have a.....last minute entry. Will Vaporeon and Xatu please come to the stage."

Cam seemed to stop and face the stage. Devek, having no interest in two Pokemon battling by themselves, simply continued. As he passed Cam, he said "Pokemon fighting each other without trainers in a trainer competition. How cute..." Devek pulled the towel from his we shoulders and let it drag on the ground. Absol stared at Glaceon as he passed.

Devek left the the contest room and walked down the hall until he reached his room. "Kid's gone," he mumbled, looking at the wall opposite his door. He opened the door. Absol ran out in front of him and quickly jumped onto the bed. Devek chuckled as he pulled the door after him. Devek wanted to rest, but his mind kept being drawn to the fight. Finally, Devek gave into the urge. He grabbed his clothes, quickly putting them on. Still trying to put on the trench coat, Devek looked back at Absol. He seemed to be comfortable and seemed to hold no interest with the fight. Absol glanced at Devek, reassuring this assumption. Devek nodded and left the room. He walked back into the contest hall and walked up next to Cam. "It's cute," he said, referring to the comment he said earlier. "But are they good?"

[Rhapsody Flows]

Cam shrugged her shoulders. "It doesn't matter if they're good or not to me," the trainer exclaimed to Devek. A grin formed on her face, equally showing her growing excitement. Glaceon siezed the moment to drop down to the ground.

When she landed, she sat down and licked her paw. The fox was losing interest about the two new pokemon that were on the stage, and why they wanted to battle. She didn't seem to be all that interested in battling them anyhow. All she wanted to do was finish cleaning herself. . . . and possibly get in a pool. It was sometimes wierd how Glaceon acted. She would do anything to have things her way, and Cam knew that the fox was pretty selfish when she wanted to be. . .

"I'm goin' down there," the girl suddenly stated, "Haven't had a pokemon battle in a while. Plus, I was getting kinda bored anyway." After finishing her sentence, she hopped on one bleacher, then another, and another until she reached the stage. Glaceon groaned to herself, then reluctantly stopped cleaning herself to follow her trainer, leaving Devek and his Absol.

Cam really didn't care about how the audience took her sudden entrance onto the stage. All she was concerned about was the Xatu and Vaporean in front of her. She lightly soluted and smirked at the two pokemon. "Yo."

Glaceon came and sat by her side moments later, eyes now focused on the two opponets. The ice-type wasn't in the mood to fight, but if Xatu or the Vaporean tried to advance toward her partner, she wouldn't hesitate to strike. The teen shook her head and smiled. "No need for that," she stated jokingly to the Glaceon. The fox met eyes with her trainer's. "You didn't look like you wanted to battle anyway, right?" The pokemon didn't respond, but she didin't have to; of course, Cam knew the answer herself.

"Now, let's start." Cam reached for her belt and retrieved two pokeballs, placing one in each hand. She smirked while expanding the capsules. "Noctowl, Meganium, battle time." She tossed the capsules in the air, and they unleashed two pokemon from within its red beam. Meganium appeared on the stage, rocking its head back and forth before making a excited yelp. Noctowl was next, and he appeared right beside the green pokemon. It tilted its head in a wierd angle as it held its posture with only one foot.
