"The Dark Realm is too large to determine exactly where Derick might be. I wish I knew where he was, but I don't. He could be anywhere," said Riku, answering Kairi's question. Riku then looked around and turned to see Emorene walk into the cave. "And just who are you?" Asked Riku, his eyebrow raised. He had seen Emorene on the battle field, but he did not know who he was.

Suddenly realizing that everyone was now in the cave, Emorene seized the moment and introduced himself, "Riku, I am Emorene Tobias, a friend from the dark realm. I have come to this world to follow Sora, the one destined to open the door to light, or so Yen Sid told me." Emorene lowered his hood to reveal his face once more and said, "I was once a friend of Ansem the Wise, and I protected him with my life. I lived in Hollow Bastion for most of my life, but when Xehanort began to experiment with the Heartless, I tried to intervene. My failed attempts at intervention and my threats of telling Ansem about what he was planning led Xehanort to consider me a threat best left exterminated. He summoned Heartless to destroy me, but when my heart was consumed, a Nobody formed in the exact same room. The Heartless that had consumed my heart and my Nobody began to merge upon noticing eachother, and together they formed one creature-me. I am not whole, and that is why I saught out a cure for what had happened to me. This search eventually brought me to Yen Sid, who instructed me to find the wielder of the Kingdom Key."

Emorene pointed at Sora and said, "And now that I've found you, I plan on following you wherever you go. If that means on a search for this Derick that you speak of, so be it. Yen Sid told me that by following you there is hope that I can revert back to my original self. He said that we will both know how and when you can help me. Now, this Derick was sent to the Dark Realm with the Heartless? I am part Heartless, so if anyone was to be taken with the Heartless and sent through the door, it should have been me. I have the most darkness in my heart out of all of us. It just makes no sense. There is something about this Derick kid that makes him unique. I have only heard his name and seen him on the battle field, so I must ask: What do you all know about Derick?"

"I, nor anyone else can answer that! Only you can truly know that for sure!" Sleif replied. "Perhaps some time alone, will help you decide!" and with that said, the controller of the Heartless had left the boy to ponder about this matter alone with the object that emitted a green light. Derick approached the object seeing how it was practically the only thing that could be seen in this godforsaken area, gazing up at it with his hazel pupils. He lifted up his right hand, placing it against the object with an uneasy feeling.

"I. . . it is true. . ." the boy said after finally coming to a conclusion. "My heart - it is filled with nothing but Darkness. . ." he added after bowing his head, his hand slipping from the object until it was completely moved away from it. But not only did admitting it brought Derick into denial but it was just only helping the Darkness grow and build up. He had no awareness that acting in such behavior like this was only causing it to become much stronger to the point where his heart will be forever lost. But what prevented it from doing so was the fact he had a Keyblade at his disposal.

"Well, I for one can answer that question." Sora said as he raised his hand up. He then paced around the interior of the cave while speaking. "You see, Derick and I were sparring buddies just like Riku and I once were before our first journey ever began. Through the course over the years I noticed that there were many times where he would become very violent for no apparent reason. Not to mention that Derick would also like to be kept alone and he never gave much of a reason either. Heck, it just looked like he had a split personality." explained Sora as he ceased his pacing. "It's like there were two different sides to him, one wanting to be around us and the other resenting us." he added as he let out a sigh. "That's all I know about him, really. . ."

Sakura suddenly had a bad feeling, and a good feeling inside of her. She got this vibe that Derik was okay, but he was in trouble. She was barely listening to the whole speech that Emorene had made and slumpped in a corner far from everyone else. Than what Sora had said perked into her mind.
"I've known Derick for a few years already and I know how he is. Sure, there were times where he was just so confused but I know he'll steer himself in the right path. That path being the Light."
The young keybearer closed her eyes and practically prayed to Derik,
"Wherever you are, please remember not to lose sight of your light,'' She whispered in a tone that was barely audible to anyone else.

Roxas opened his eyes and blinked in the sunlight. He sat up quickly and looked around. Where was everyone? He jumped up and looked really confused. The blonde nobody gave a chibi-ish [

] look of puzzlement as he began to run around, looking for his friends.
"Uh... Sora? Namine? Anyone?"

Namine sprinted across the beach, as fast as her attire would allow her to go anyways, and slid on the sand towards Roxas. She didnt want to hear about Dericks disappearance, or darkness, or anything about heartless. It was much too sad, especially since Sakura...

"Roxas!" She souted to him as she approached. She slowly sat down in the warm sand, tucking her legs behind her. He looked very tired, but it seemed like he was getting up. "Roxas, oh you poor thing! Derick, he got sucked away, along with all the darkness, and now he's gone!" She couldnt seem to talk fast enough. There was so much to say, and she wanted to say it right away. "Slief went with him, and now Sakura is sad! And guess what? I have a weapon now! Look, it's a knife! Now, i can aid you in battle, and you can teach me how to use it, and..."

She was practically breathless, and she had to stop and take in some deep breaths. She looked down at her new dagger, then back at Roxas. Now, she wouldnt be a burden anymore.

Roxas blinked and looked surprised-like at Namine, who spoke so fast he just barely got it. Something about Derik being gone and Sakura being sad, and darkness and not being a burden anymore.
He looked down at Namine's weapon, sort of sadly, but he masked it well.
"You were never a burden to me, Namine," He said gentilly.

"Wherever you are, please remember not to lose sight of your light,''

Derick turned his head around slowly, now looking over his shoulder to see if anyone was there. But it was far too dark to even see a thing and the object's light only lit up to a certain distance. Derick checked again to make sure if there really was anyone there. No one. Then who could of spoken to him? It was most certainly not Sleif considering he had left him alone and it couldn't be the voice he heard earlier in the Secret Cave. So then who could it have been speaking to him just now?

"Wherever you are, please remember not to lose sight of your light,''

The voice grew more distinct and even louder but was still spoken in a murmur. Derick could now tell who it was. It was none other than Sakura but how? He was obviously somewhere else, probably in another world so how would she be able to contact him with those kinds of odds? Any skeptic wouldn't believe that this was impossible but for some reason, Derick believed that his friend was actually speaking to him just now.

"Sakura? Is that really you?"

Sakura snapped open her eyes as she felt a response. She hadn't expected her message to actually be heard. Slowly she closed her eyes again and tried to remember how she did it the first time
"Sakura? Is that really you?"
She smiled softly, and was almost excited.
"Derik... It... It is me. I'm not sure how, but it seems our hearts are able to communicate." She whispered again. This was perfect! Now she could find him! Sora had told her that hearts of friends and family are connected, so maybe this was a cause of it. Being able to hear what the other's heart was saying. Or maybe, it was just a power they shared.
Sakura opened her eyes for just a second, making sure nobody saw or heard her. She sighed in releif as she noticed everyone leaving the cave. Now she could be in peace.

Footsteps down the hall indicated Derik's time to think was up. Sleif was at the door, than stopped and listen to what the boy was saying. Was he talking with himself?

"Derick... It... It is me. I'm not sure how, but it seems our hearts are able to communicate."

Derick cocked an eyebrow upon hearing Sakura's last statement. Their hearts having the ability and the key to how they were communicating with each other? But how? Sure, he watched out for her safety earlier in the day but he did that with every single one of his friends before. However Sakura was who mattered the most to him when the Heartless attack occurred but even he couldn't explain why - she just was. Could it be that their friendship was that strong already even after they had just met back on the island?

"It really is you! I - I'm so glad to hear you again. . ." the Keybearer of Ultimatum replied, speaking in a low tone of voice just in case if Sleif happened to reappear again. "Our hearts. . . I wonder how they're responsible for us speaking to each other again. . ."

"It is to be expected, though remember, the darkness can play tricks with your mind...and heart!" said Sleif as he walked in front of Derick, and stood before the glowing object.
A slight grin appeared on Sleifs face, as he used a small amount of darkness to suppress the light that was being broadcast by Sakara.

"Now, I believe you have already made your decision! What is it to be?" asked Sleif.

Sakura's eyes snapped wide again. Another voice had echoed threw her head, making her almost cringe.
"It is to be expected, though remember, the darkness can play tricks with your mind...and heart!" It was a deep voice, and instantly she noticed it as Sleif- the evil man who had almost destroyed Destiny Islands. She pushed herself up off the ground and nearly shouted:
"No, Derik! Don't listen to him! Everyone knows your heart is meant for the light! Sora and all your friends, and me!" Sakura told him, somehow being able to keep her voice pleasent, even as she was raising her voice to be heard over the darkness.]

Namine's usually pale face suddenly flushed with color, her eyes averting to her knife. "Well, you may think so..." She decided not to argue over something stupid and unimportant, so she dropped the subject. "Here, let me help you up!" She said to him as she gripped his hand and pulled him to his feet. "Sakura is probably about to sink into depression...We better go get Derick, and quick."

"Huh?" Derick quickly turned around to see Sleif now standing in front of him. Apparently he had entered the corridor without making even the slightest sound. This, however, taken the boy by surprise as he knew that there was no way of lying out of this one seeing how it was too late to do so. "Oh, Sl - Sleif. . . I - I didn't even know that you were here. . ." the boy stammered after being caught talking to Sakura.

"It is to be expected, though remember, the darkness can play tricks with your mind...and heart!"

"Wait. . . so you're saying that it isn't really her?" Derick asked, feeling rather disappointed and lied to. All his hopes had just been crushed upon hearing those words but that was until he heard his friend once again.

"No, Derick! Don't listen to him! Everyone knows your heart is meant for the light! Sora and all your friends, and me!"

"I - I. . ." Derick grasped onto his head once again. "I don't even know what to believe in anymore!" he shouted back to Sleifl; even Sakura could hear him as well.

"Now, I believe you have already made your decision! What is it to be?"

Derick lowered his hands and gazed up at Sleif, an unsure look etched on his face. "I guess. . . after seeing how I was brought here unlike everyone else, my Heart is really filled with Darkness."

A twisted grin appeared on Sleifs face, as he heard him say that. "Well, then! Now that you have made your decision, we have some work to do! But first, we will start by having a little test!" Sleif said to Derick, as he turned around to face him.

"Don't worry, it's rather simple! All you have to do is look into that!" Sleif said, as he turned slightly and pointed to the green glowing object in the middle of the room.
"Go over, and place your hands upon it, and all will be revealed to you! About yourself, and your destiny!" said Sleif, as he moved back a little, allowing Derick full view of the object.

Sakura dropped to her knees. Derik's voice echoed threw her mind, and she replayed it over and over.
"I guess. . . after seeing how I was brought here unlike everyone else, my Heart is really filled with Darkness."
She couldn't believe it. She had just lost a friend to the darkness, and one day if Sleif decides to come back to Destiny Islands, there could be the brown-haired boy helping to destroy, loving every minute of it. Or maybe, he could be off destroying other worlds, and would have to be stopped by the hands of his friends.
Sakura couldn't even think of it anymore. She sobbed quietly, but no tears ran down her cheeks. She made sure to ready herself and become brave. Now it was absolutely decided. She- and whoever decided to aid her- was going to save her friend and make an end to darkness.
Suddenly she felt a light tap on the shoulder.

"You okay...?"

Derick quickly turned around to see Sleif now standing in front of him. Apparently he had entered the corridor without making even the slightest sound. This, however, taken the boy by surprise as he knew that there was no way of lying out of this one seeing how it was too late to do so. "Oh, Sl - Sleif. . . I - I didn't even know that you were here. . ." the boy stammered after being caught talking to Sakura. "It is to be expected, though remember, the darkness can play tricks with your mind...and heart!" "Wait. . . so you're saying that it isn't really her?" Derick asked, feeling rather disappointed and lied to. All his hopes had just been crushed upon hearing those words but that was until he heard his friend once again. "No, Derick! Don't listen to him! Everyone knows your heart is meant for the light! Sora and all your friends, and me!" "I - I. . ." Derick grasped onto his head once again. "I don't even know what to believe in anymore!" he shouted back to Sleifl; even Sakura could hear him as well. "Now, I believe you have already made your decision! What is it to be?" Derick lowered his hands and gazed up at Sleif, an unsure look etched on his face. "I guess. . . after seeing how I was brought here unlike everyone else, my Heart is really filled with Darkness."

Derick said to Sleif. A twisted grin appeared on Sleifs face, as he heard him say that. "Well, then! Now that you have made your decision, we have some work to do! But first, we will start by having a little test!" Sleif said to Derick, as he turned around to face him. "Don't worry, it's rather simple! All you have to do is look into that!" Sleif said, as he turned slightly and pointed to the green glowing object in the middle of the room. "Go over, and place your hands upon it, and all will be revealed to you! About yourself, and your destiny!" said Sleif, as he moved back a little, allowing Derick full view of the object.

Derik's voice echoed threw her mind, and she replayed it over and over. "I guess. . . after seeing how I was brought here unlike everyone else, my Heart is really filled with Darkness." She couldn't believe it. She had just lost a friend to the darkness, and one day if Sleif decides to come back to Destiny Islands, there could be the brown-haired boy helping to destroy, loving every minute of it. Or maybe, he could be off destroying other worlds, and would have to be stopped by the hands of his friends. Sakura couldn't even think of it anymore. She sobbed quietly, but no tears ran down her cheeks. She made sure to ready herself and become brave. Now it was absolutely decided. She- and whoever decided to aid her- was going to save her friend and make an end to darkness. Suddenly she felt a light tap on the shoulder. "You okay...?"
