[Rhapsody Flows]

Young Camaruka sat on a squeaky swing, rocking to an unheard beat. A blank expression was on her face as usual. It was monotone, and looked as if she had no life in her. Cam was at a park; the park that she always went to when she wanted to just relax for a bit. But she rarely did anything with other kids who were also there.

Cam looked up from her thoughts. She squinted ahead, witnessing other children playing on a playground not too far up ahead. They looked to be having fun while playing and interacting with each other. The female loner thought it was better for her to be by herself. That way, there would always be peace and order. The girl glanced down from the kids to her feet, slowly closing her eyes. . .

"Hello!" Cam suddenly opened her eyes and shot her head back up, a bit surprised at the sudden outburst. Her eyes came face-to-face with big, evergreen ones that were full of enthusiasm. The monotone female had to pull her head back to see a better picture of who she was looking at. It was a girl, about her age. She had a big smile on her face, and it scared Cam. She slightly grimaced at the hyper girl. "Umm. . . hi . . .?"

The girl smiled even wider than before, as if she found a gold mine or something. "Oh, so you can talk! Some of the other guys thought that you were mute or somethin' like that since you rarely say anything when you come to this park! But I knew that you could talk, so I just wanted to prove it to them!"

Could this girl talk, or what? Fast, too. Cam looked to the side, ignoring the question that she asked. It was typical for others to automatically think that there was something wrong with her just because she wasn't social. The girl tilted to her head, sensing Camaruka's dismay. She then smiled brightly yet again. "Wanna go play?" Cam glanced back up at the girl, surprised that she actually asked her that question. Now, this girl was certainly weird -maybe even weirder than weird. As far as Cam could remember, no one had ever asked her to play.

The monotone girl shrugged her shoulders and nodded. The girl smiled big, "Okay! Let's go!" Cam nodded in an unsure way and began to get up. Then, she stopped to ask, "By the way, what's your name?" The girl giggled and answered with a smile, "It's Nisa!"

Cam abruptly shot up one eye-lid. Looking around, she was soon familiarized with her surroundings once again, making sure she was still in HQ. "Not that dream again," the Reaper muttered to herself. Cam hated that dream; it brought up too many bad memories. The Reaper chewed, surprised that her sucker was still in her mouth. It was probably down to about half its size, now. So she quickly finished it up with one big chew. She kept the stick that the sucker used to be mounted on just for the heck of it.

She then looked back when another Reaper had appeared in the building. This time, it was Takeshii. It was her first time seeing him that day since she didn't see him hunting Players. She didn't say a word in seeing his presence, and instead leaned back and positioned her head up at the ceiling since there was nothing better to do.

'Detour? We would of been safe in the shop!' Haine thought dissapprovingly as she stood behind Ryuu in battle mode. Instead of running, this Reaper just...came.
'Ryuu must of provoked this Reaper -sigh-'

Haine looked at her imprinted hand.

Any minute now.

Behind her, a player collasped dangerously down onto the cement.
Haine went to his side and checked on his situation.
'Player. Dangerously low on HP' she observed quietly. Is he good with psychs?

She tapped Ryuu's shoulder and pointed to the boy. "Soda?"

"Would you like some guidance?"
The mysterious figure popped out of the black swirling cloud and directed his attention on Akira and Zakuku.

"Hmmm, let me think. Not from the likes of you!" She said to him bitterly. "Why would i want help from someone trying to kill me!" She glanced over at Zakuku, reading his facial features. Her inside clock was ticking away all the while. "He's just trying to distract us. We should probably get going." She said to Zakuku, never taking her eyes off the reaper.

Kage couldn't hold back that fierce growl he wanted to slam into Yoruhime's face. The damn girl was mocking him! She wasn't allowed to do that! Well, she wasn't low-ranked; she was a Gamemaster, after all. Maybe she was allowed to do that, but Kage didn't like it one bit.

"Shut it, ya damn moth!" he snapped, his yellow eyes flickering as he glared into Yoruhime's sight. She probably wouldn't take that as any sort of insult, but he would be more than happy to throw a million others at her if that one failed to work. The Reaper snatched back those precious headphones out of Kusari's loose grasp and placed them back around his neck, wearing a deep pout on his pale face.

But, while Kage wasn't looking, Riku was glancing around at those shadow-like cats, the panther and the tiger specifically. The tiger was down, still paralyzed or unconscious. The panther, however, was watching the two players, waiting for the right moment to pounce and shred them both to pieces. That guy wouldn't care if they slid off, would he? He shouldn't! It wasn't like he was the bad guy; though that girl seemed to be tilted towards the evil side, which made Riku rather weary for a moment. With haste, the boy tapped on Kusari's shoulder and lowered his voice to a whisper.

"I think this guy's just a distraction... We gotta fight those other things..."

Kusari gave a nod when she heard his statement. The two quickly turned around and headed off towards the tiger, pins in hand as they aimed to defeat the thing.

"See? That is why I hate pathetic little brats..."

The voice rang in their ears and they soon found themselves back where they started, before Kage. Yet, it was rather by force and, apparently, those cats had something to do with it; Riku had caught a glimpse of the tiger melting into the ground as a black goo appeared beneath his feet. The panther did the same to Kusari! They were both standing in some strange black liquid, a rather gooey one that resembled quicksand without the sinking part; there was no real way to get out of that, unless someone made the things disappear!

Not only that, but that happened with all of the other cats, too: the players they were fighting against would soon find themselves in that same sort of goo; some would've been drawn into that area, too, just to hear how Kage would mock them all. However, not all were forced to stand in that black goo; just the ones that had been fighting those cats.

"You're all damn pathetic!" the Gamemaster snapped, his yellow eyes flickering like flames, "You're not supposed to fight the monsters; you're supposed to squirm 'n' cry while they shred ya all to pieces! Makes erasing you all a damn lot easier, ya know? Now, let's see..."

The Gamemaster's eyes scanned over all of the players standing in that area. Some he wasn't so concerned about; he just felt like staring at them just to creep them out. Others, however, seemed to interest him to no end. He glanced before him, watching the brown haired tomboy fumble around in her pocket, trying to act secret but failing miserably at that. However, Kusari grasped something in her fist and narrowed her eyes, staring down right at Kage's combat boots. Without warning, it sparked blue. His shoe was now covering in blue flames that followed where Kusari's eye went, though they quickly dissipated after a moment of fire.

When the flames were gone, Kage looked beyond ticked off. He was angry. He wanted to punch someone in the face for that little attack. The fire just ruined his cool boots! Sure, he probably could've bought any other pair, but still! He wanted to point a finger at someone and that finger pointed at...

"Ya little punk! You're first!"

Kusari stared, eyes widened as Kage leaned closer to Riku with the intention of erasing him from existence. The boy had nowhere to go because of that damn sludge beneath his feet; he could watch in horror as he awaited anxiously for Kage to strike.

"Riku!!"

Kage, however, then pulled out his phone. He punched on a few numbers, a wicked grin formed on his pale face, just before Kusari's hand swelled with pain once more. No text message or anything; just a different time limit.

"Better start squirmin', ya damn brats! You're all about to face erasure!"

"He's just trying to distract us. We should probably get going." Sleif heard Akira say. "Oh, by all means. Go ahead!" Sleif replied, turning slightly to allow them passage before them.
At the end of the alley however, the noise creatures from the current battles, were swarming everywhere, not taking any notice in them.

"If you think yous can handle what awaits ahead!" Sleif said to them.

[Sora_Rox_My_Sox]

"If you think yous can handle what awaits ahead!" Slief gestured down the alley towards some noise. Akira's inner clock ticked, making serious concentration impossible. They approached the group at an alarmingly fast pace, only 20 yards away.

"Why would you wanna help us anyways? Isn't your job to kill us? Or erase, or whatever you creeps do?" She asked mockinly. She didnt like people toying with her, especially when her life was on the line. She reached into her pocket, drawing out her lighting pin. She clipped it onto her sash, just in case. Hopefully Zakuku was ready too.

"Damn, this is one hell of a game." She said to herself, forming her face into a scowl. She looked down on her palm, which was inflamed and red.

"What the hell?!?!?" She screamed at her palm. "I just had less than an hour? Zakuku, we have 30 seconds!" She grabbed his arm again and pulled him away from the reaper and the noise. "Come on!" Her tone was full of panic, her voice cracking as she said her last word. The clap of her and Zakuku's shoes against the pavement almost drowned out the ticking of the clock. Almost...

"Hurry! We gotta run, somewhere...Anywhere!" Her breathing became shallow and stressed as she was pushed to her limit. She took a final glance at her palm, then looked at Zakuku. He was probably going to be the last person she ever saw, as her clock wound down into its final seconds.

Looking at her hand, Haine sighed even harder.
There were 30 seconds left.

She looked at the ill person behind her. Haine sighed even harder. It's just another person. Someone who would ignore her or her help. What benefit would she get?

But...he did seem sick. So Haine helped him stand up and dragged him to the nearest area where noise and Reapers wouldn't interfere.

Not wanting to be polite, she also dragged Ryuu by her arm away from Yorahami to the alley, or whatever the reaper's name was. It's just another evil old lady.

"Run." she said quietly to Ryuu as she seemingly struggled. Ryuu wasn't strong enough. She needed to understand when to battle.

Haine looked at her pin. Its graffiti designs reminded her so much of her brother.
'I'll find you here, I know. Because I know why I'm here.' she remembered.

"...the heck!?"

Riku's eyes were wide; however, they were not as panicked as Kusari's were. He stared in horror as those red numbers ticked down from 0:30.

"That's not fair!" Kusari couldn't help it. Though she was beyond freaked out now, with nowhere to run and no way to escape this, she went against her shy nature just long enough to scream at that Kage guy. However, he just rolled his eyes as he folded his arms.

"Kiddo," he begun, leaning closer to Kusari with a malicious glint in his golden orbs, "Since when was anything fair?" The tomboy only bit her lip and glanced to the side. He was right; nothing ever seemed to be fair. At least, to her, anyways. There was so much that wasn't fair... He was absolutely right! She recoiled backwards and glanced down at her palm, her heart racing.

She couldn't help this either. She did exactly what Kage wanted: squirmed helplessly. The tomboy stared down at her shoes and tried to escape the gooey black liquid that clung onto those brown shoes of herself. No avail at all! The goo was uber sticky and seemed like super glue with a rubber-y sort of effect to it. It stretched and squished, but never, ever let go of its victims. Dammit...

The tomboy glanced wearily down at her palm again.

0:10...

Only ten seconds left!

Kage stared at them all, every single player standing before his sight, and merely grumbled. Arms still crossed, he watched them all while tapping his foot. The only one seeming to do as he wished as Kusari; the damn brat was most definitely squirming and trying to free herself from that mess while nervously glancing back and forth between her palm and the black shadow goo. The rest however? Nothing in particular. No one beside Riku and Kusari were freaked out. Oh, he would definitely make the rest of the bunch freak out.

The clock struck. The time stopped. They all hit that magic number. Every single timer on each player's hands. They all hit it.

0:00

The timers disappeared. Everything started fading. Kusari felt like she was being choked as everything in her sight begun to turn to black.

Kage couldn't help but sadistically grin at the sight. They were all facing erasure now.

"Sayonara, ya pathetic players!"

Then came nothing. They were all gone.

Mission unsuccessful. All players have been erased.

Day 1: Scramble.

[Takushi Rena]

"Nahhhh..."

It was really hazy. And bright, too. The tomboy let out a bit of a moan, finding herself flat on the ground. She could see white stripes over the black ground, feeling the rocky texture beneath her fingers.

She said up, holding her head as she crossed her legs. She looked rather drunk, leaning forwards like that and mouth agape.

"I'm not erased... am I...?"

Kusari looked hazily outwards. She could see nothing for a few moments, nothing past Riku lying on the ground.

A ring in her pocket. Kusari gave a hard blink, then turned. She glanced down at her pocket for a moment, seeming at a loss of what to do next. She was still half-asleep and absolutely clueless. She really felt like she was drunk, though she had never felt what 'being drunk' was like. Slowly, the tomboy pulled back to cover of the pocket and fumbled to grasp that black, flip-cover cell phone of her's.

No, she couldn't have been erased. She wouldn't be getting messages or whatever this was if she had been!

Kusari flipped the cover up and put the phone to her ear, acting as if it were a phone call; though, who would be calling her was quite the mystery. No phone call. However, her hand swelled with pain once more. Yeah, that wasn't a phone call, genius.

The tomboy looked down at the screen, still cringing from the sharp pain in her palm, with half-opened eyes.

Find the dragon's wall. You have 20 minutes. Fail, and face erasure.

"Whats... a... dragon wall..."

Riku gave a moan, too. He tried to pull himself up, feeling rather drained as well; fortunately, he got over that much faster than Kusari ever would. The boy probably woke up because of that timer's pain...

[The mission listed isn't for everyone, so here's everybody else's mission: "Crawl into the minds of those who can't realize you and force their decisions to play out based on your own gain. You have 60 minutes. Fail, and face erasure!"]

[Sora the warrior]

Sora awoke feeling the timer. He awoke at 104 as the people passed him. He got a message on his phone and hastily checked it. Bright lights flashed in between the cracks and black of his phone, broken.
"DAMN!" He shouted tossing his phone aside. He then felt the pain of the timer. He then proceded to calm himself.
"Okay, phone's out, meaning I don't know the mission. So I"m technically screwed. Unless I find another Player with a working phone to help me. So I have one hour to find a Player in Shibuya who'll help me out then complete the mission. Argh! Damn! I"d better haul ass!" Sora shouted as he ran through Shibuya scanning to find someone he couldn't scan and quickly find the mission.

As the countdown ended, and the first day came to a close, Sleif stood beside Kage as the players fell unconscious.
"So how did you find fighting them this time?" Sleif questioned Kage, while looking down at him with his re eyes.

The Reaper was pretty smug at that moment. All of the players down, probably forced to think that they had been erased the next day only to find that they were still stuck in this dreaded nightmare. However, the next time a player hunt came around that he lead, he most definitely wouldn't be threatening to erase them and then scare them out of their wits. However, a certain higher-ranked member of the Reapers seemed to bring down his cocky moment.

So how did you find fighting them this time?

Kage gave a deep growl, though he kept it underneath his breath, and forced his gaze towards the two players before him. He stepped closer to one of the bunch, which seemed to distract him a bit from his answer.

"Well..." he begun, sounded very sidetracked, "They were pretty damn weak..."

The teen bent down next the player and opened up their pocket. They used their hand to find the thing, feeling a phone and some pins. He caught a glimpse of something sky blue and black, then immediately closed the kid's pocket.

'Good, still there... Kid's not bright enough to know what it is...'

Riku let out a moan, rubbing his head as he sat up straight. The boy gave a deep, loud yawn and glanced around the area. Where was he? Had he been erased...? He glanced down at his hand.

Timer was there. No, he definitely wasn't erased.

"...Kusari?" Riku perked up and called his partner's name. Nothing. The kid wasn't there, at least not in his sight. The boy took a glance around and found someone short with brown hair that looked a lot like Kusari. He quickly pulled himself up and ran over to the figure standing aimlessly out in the middle of the sidewalk. When he reached her and tapped on her shoulder, Kusari turned about, rubbing her eye as if very sleeply.

"Nan desu ka...?" she mumbled, giving a long yawn. She was still half-asleep and drowsy, almost to the point of being drunk-esque. And, because she was so sleepy, she was mumbling in Japanese. Great...

Riku held back the urge to say 'What?' and instead said, "Uhhh... There's a mission?" Kusari gave a nod.

"And it said something about something called a 'dragon's wall'. Any idea?"

"Etto..." Kusari looked down at her shoes and drowsily pointed off to the side, "Sutashion Undapasu?"

Well, he got that there was something called a 'station underpass'. There was a dark tunnel nearby and the subway line was very close by. So, station underpass, then?

Takeshii smiled a smile that was pure self-satisfaction. Snickering lightly, a wild look swam in his eyes as he observed the pawns moving about on the proverbial chessboard, destroying themselves at his command and charing forth into battle only to be obliterated. When the last one was destroyed, he let out a little shout of triumph from atop the street light.

He'd finally beaten Super Kawaii Fighter Battle Mobile: Alpha Omega 2 on his cell phone.

"100% Difficulty, with all the handicaps and zero restarts!" Laughing hysterically in disbelief, his revelry in his victory was ended prematurely with the arrival of a text message. The sender indicator flashed 'Game Master' in violently red letters. He sighed, all vigor and ecstasy draining from his form.

Pushing a lock of wildly colored hair behind his ear, he scanned the message briefly. 'To Takeshii exclusively; find the one called Riku and monitor activities. Fail to remain vigilant or confront unprovoked or without any order to do so, and face erasure. Time; extent of the Game.'

The Reaper blinked once or twice, and with an exasperated sigh shut the orange slider phone. His physical form began to shift, morphing, his garments, jewelry, melding into his skin and becoming ink black. His arms retracted and grew into wide, feathered wings, and his face became featureless, save for a long beak and beady yellow eyes. The crane-that-was-Takeshii then took of from it's perch on the street light, and set off for the underpass.

"So this is what its like to be erased..." Akira sat up from the cold, smooth ground, her surroundings unknown at the moment. Her head was throbbing like she had just been hit with a brick, and a strong brick at that. She looked down on her hand, the timer gone, but still red and inflamed. "Damn, there's no way I'm erased...But then what about the task?" She said to herself, since she couldnt find any other person present. Her phone began to ring, playing the victory fanfare, and she realized she had gotten a new text.

"No player, your not erased! Not yet.... Crawl into the minds of those who can't realize you and force their decisions to play out based on your own gain. You have 60 minutes. Fail, and face erasure!"]

"Peachy keen! What the hell is that supposed to mean?" She stared at her cell phone screen, waiting for something to happen, but noting did. "Well, i better go crawl in somebodys brain!" She said in a bitter sarcastic tone. Her surroundings began to melt into reality around her, forming buildings and shops and leaving the darkness behind. She was still in Shibuya, oh goody.

"Hey, where's everybody else then?" She said to herself again. "HEEEEYYYYYLLLLLOOOOOOO! And players out here?" She shouted to the seemingly busy streets of downtown Shibuya.

The world was swirling. The colors blend, the music end, her knees wer weak, her head light-headed.
It was 0 seconds. The task was undone. Punishment: Erasure.
-sigh- If only there was more time...then she couldn't accomplish what she came here for.

BUZZ!!!

...What? She was alive. The hunt's over, for now.

Her eyes cleared as Haine felt energy bursting through her muscles. Looking was the big, wide, bluie sky. Down was the place where she appeared.

'Shoot, back to Scramble. Need to find Ryuu.' she thought hurriedly. Then she heard a female's voice shouting:

"HEEEEYYYYYLLLLLOOOOOOO! And players out here?"

Haine shook her head disappointingly as she made her way through people to the girl slowly. Was that person trying to attract Reapers or something?
