Finally, Ali arrived at their "training" destination. She was the last to arrive. Shouten had rocketed past her, and Ryuu was right behind Raiten. It didn't really matter to her. They didn't have a time limit, or a mission. As far as she saw it, both Shouten and Ryuu's actions were unnecessary.

Alizarin stood in the deep forest, along with her team. There trees looked like they would suffice as excellent cover and opportunity. Just what was the unmerciful Raiten going to have them do?...

Ryuukira was the first to get there. He looked back at his team mates who just seemed to catch up and he smiled their ways "rotten eggs." Ryuu said letting out a soft chuckle then looking over at Raiten. "So what are we suppose to do now?" Ryuu asked his sensei.

[Imperial Chaos]

Shouten ended in a stop kicking up some dust. "Rotten eggs." Shouten merely cocked his head to the side and stared at him with blank eyes before turning to their sensei. "What's the test gonna be, sensei?"

"It's nothing, really. Though I'm sorry to say that your tactic isn't so great."

Yuki was surprised that Azuke read through her tactic so easily.

"You don't need to distract me, I understand. I know what it's like, to be near the bottom."

'He does?'

"I don't want you to be looked down upon just because your past wrongs. I believe that people are equal in all ways, no matter how skilled or strong they may be. My mother was of a low class, and yet my father still married her. Class or wherever you come from mean nothing when it comes to the people you care about. With that said, you are just as a valuable team member as me, Kai or sensei.”

Yuki was awed by the mighty words of comfort he spoke, and he spoke so strongly about his values, Yuki started to believe as well. She didn't feel so ashamed of being poor that much. She was also happy he said she was valued all the same on their team, it made her smile. She was a little surprised at the hug but she didn't mind to much and returned it.

"You better be there on time!"

Yuki chuckled to herself, wondering if she should be late just to get him miffed, eh she'll see how she
feels in the morning if she wants to pull it off or not.

Yuki shook her head and smiled as she walked towards her door.

“Yes, he certainly is unpredictable.”

Negavix, affixed firm on the water listened with a steady ear. Asumo had spoken, from what he could gather it was tormenting him greatly, this pressure was what he intended to place upon him. In the act of thoroughly lacing their minds to think, they were improving in many different ways. This test was rigorous, as they knew from all being pinned to the wall left with this last option. From it, the final mind game that Negavix swiftly placed over Asumo.

He'd finally grasped it.

"Your choice is one that defies the rules of our village. While it's true, ninja that break the rules are considered trash...those that don't care about their comrades...are worse than trash. A quote by my late relative and a constant reminder. I believe you guys have shown more than enough for me to pass a proper evaluation."

The distortion image of Negavix began to fade and he returned to the mist. Asumo's previous appointed decision of whom the actual one was, happened to be dead on. Rayex had not moved, but merely use one of his duplicates to cast the sharingan brand of hypnotic genjutsu. The probing technique "Mind Ripple" picking on their doubts and perfect for his trials and judgment test for them to become a team.

"You pass." Negavix actually spoke with a tone of kindness.

"This isn't genjutsu, but the real deal. You've passed the genin assessment I proposed for you guys, out of the three, I needed to find the one with the sharpest mind to confront with my toughest trials. If it seemed like you were targeted forgive me, but Ky and Vergil should be along in a matter of seconds."

Without fail, the water prison jutsu shattered and the clone of Negavix picked up Vergil with a black distorted flicker of his form, he moved behind Negavix in an instant. Following behind him, his last and final bunshin holding one unconscious Ky, first lifting the genjutsu off of him before dissipating. A step back as he overlooked the three of them. Throwing his black clad over his form once more, and raising his finger to point all the way up. The mist clearing a path, as they were now under the moonlight.

"You see that beautiful rock up there? On this night, it is the night we forged a new bond in our lives and became Team 29 officially. Up there, we will climb to new heights, and with you all to breath life into the future, will we finally end this war and put the akatsuki to rest finally. Well guys...looks like we've become a union, I'll do all that I can in my power to push you forward, tomorrow we'll start our first mission. Unlike other villages, we've been prepared first hand for my troublesome endeavors so expect some difficulties. Til then, get some rest alright?"

Negavix smiled to see how they would absorb it all.

[Stark]

Vergil was free. The trail was over and it seemed like the were victorius. All thanks to Asumo. As Vergil picked himself up to thank Asumo, Negavix begin to speak.

"You see that beautiful rock up there? On this night, it is the night we forged a new bond in our lives and became Team 29 officially. Up there, we will climb to new heights, and with you all to breath life into the future, will we finally end this war and put the akatsuki to rest finally. Well guys...looks like we've become a union, I'll do all that I can in my power to push you forward, tomorrow we'll start our first mission. Unlike other villages, we've been prepared first hand for my troublesome endeavors so expect some difficulties. Til then, get some rest alright?"

Vergil gave a smile as he looked at his new comrades,his new team,his new family. Each one has a weakness and each one had a strength,but they balanced each other out. The missions will start tommorow Vergil pondered in his head. He knew it would have to be ready for it tommorow and he couldnt wait to have some fun.

"Hey sensie,Ky and Asumo. The training maybe over but you guys think that we can go get something to eat real quick since im starving. This will also give us time to be better aquainted." Vergil spoke slowly. The team was tne first time he felt he had a family again. Ever since the death of his brother and depature of his father life hasnt been the same. Now with these new bonds formed things should be diffrent and now he could at least protect the people he considered family.

[Novaix]

Ky still weak from the genjutsu just sighed as Negavix's clones helped him up Negavix spoke "You see that beautiful rock up there? Vergil seemed alright as he spoke "Hey sensie,Ky and Asumo. The training maybe over but you guys think that we can go get something to eat real quick since im starving. This will also give us time to be better aquainted." Vergil spoke slowly.Ky laughed as Vergil said this "Sure Vergil im really hungry, what about you 2" he stated as he pinted at Asumo and Negavix. This was the start of Ky's Ninja journey, he had no real purpose he just wanted to make his family proud he thought of what his parents would say.

This rugged, mountainous area was chillier than he remembered it. It was a good thing he brought a full body cloak to wear through this region. The air felt so much crisper than what his memory could recall. Had the climate become slightly colder over this passed decade in his absence (excluding the small, quaint visits he made to Daaku, Hotaru, and Raito)? Whatever the case, it was an odd feeling returning here, to the place that he once called his home. It's not that it wasn't still home to him now, however that one, brutal memory that occurred within the range of these village walls caused his mood to somewhat turn sour when thoughts of this place came to mind. He didn't think he would be able to ever erase those images from his head, those scarring pictures. The tears... the violence... the blood... the death...

Not wanting to dwell on such thoughts any longer, Hakumei kept his attention on the sturdy gate ahead of him, still standing its post in front of the village after all these years. How this gate brought back memories... he remembered the very first time he walked out of the village walls, out of its boundaries. It was during his very first mission. He, along with his team and sensei, walked passed those barriers with pride, and courage. They felt as though they could take on anything, anyone, bypass any obstacle or problem that came their way, and from that point until the day that their team was disbanded... they did. They were successful in most, if not all of their endeavors. Memories of his old comrades even now lingered within his mind. Nowadays, Hakumei rarely smiled, however he couldn't help but have a slight grin while thinking of all those wondrous times. Sometimes, he yearned to go back to those times and places, and relive them once again.

However, that was but a mere senseless dream, and so once again, took his thoughts away from those images.

As the shinobi began approaching the main gate, two ninja swiftly appeared in front of it, both bearing their uniforms, as well as questionable looks on their faces. One of them spoke to the mysterious man. "Hey, you, what is your business here? We do not take kindly to strangers--"

The other ninja gasped while the other was still in mid-sentence. The talker looked to his partner, looking somewhat frustrated at his behavior. His tightened expression made that quite obvious. "Yuro, what the heck is it? Did you finally discover your not a man?"

Without directly replying to that part of the question, the man's eyes became wide, and he lifted his arm towards the stranger. The man stuttered a little through his words. "Y-Yura, don't you r-recognize him? Don't you know who he is? This man-- this guy is--"

A yellow flash bypassed both of them, causing them both to jump. Realizing that the man was no longer in front of them, they both looked passed the gate, only to see him continue walking as if nothing had happened.

The one called Yura began to panic. "Y-Yuro! I-intruder! We have to raise the ala--"

Yura quickly placed his hand over his 'friend's' mouth, muffling his words into little hums and noises. He shook his head at the suggestion as well. Looking from Yuro, Yura adjusted his gaze to the one who had just begun to walk down the main village pathway, explaining to his disoriented friend what exactly was going on.

"Y'know Yura, you always make these wise cracks about my manhood, but your always the one that acts like a girl." With that said, he continued to speak. "That man... he's the guy who walked out on the village twelve years ago. Do you remember?"

Yura looked slightly shocked, as he pulled the hand away from his moutn. "You... you mean--??"

He nodded. "Yah... that's him. The guy that could have really helped the village these passed several years. It's Hakumei... Champion of the Tomoshibi Clan."

[Vexond]

Makoto walked around the village. There's nothing to do. he thought. I need to ask when Im gonna be assigned to a mission or a team. Makoto walked into the Academy for the Mist Village. He walked around looking for anyone who might know something until he saw his old sensei. He figured that he could ask her for information.

"Sensei."

The woman turned around.

"Makoto! I havent seen you in since you graduated from the academy. What are you doing here?"

"Well, I came to ask about a mission and a team."

"I think I know what you are talking about. You havent been assigned to a team yet and you are worried that you wont get to do any missions."

"Yeah."

"Dont worry. You know, only few students were chosen to become Genin this year. You should be thankful that you are part of that few."

"I know but..."

"Dont worry about it. You've been my student at the academy for many years....I'll talk to the Mizukage and see what I can do for you."

"You will?! Thanks sensei."

Makoto ran over to her and gave her a hug. He then started to run out the door.

"Bye. I'll talk to you later."

Makoto left the school. It was starting to get dark. He slowed down to look for a good place to eat before he went home.

"Where can I get something to eat?" he asked himself.

Hotaru watched as his students had finally arrived at the training ground. The river behind him was the only sound that could be heard until Ryuu had spoken.

"Rotten eggs."

Hotaru gave a little chuckle, as the other two had arrived. 'I really hope I don't get them killed.' He thought, but dismissed the idea of them drowning on their first training session.

"So what are we suppose to do now?"

Hotaru smiled at the eagerness of his student, Ryuu. And just when he was about to speak, someone else had beaten him to it.

"What's the test gonna be, sensei?"

Hotaru looked at Shouten. "Be patient young ones, for your test of ultimate ness will be in a moment." He said in a playful way. Hotaru walked over to the river, and motioned for his students to follow. The Kumo jonin stood at the edge, watching as the river flowed past. It was a few feet from the bottom, maybe thirteen or so. Hotaru looked back at his students, and then at the three rocks that lay by the river. "Well, what I'm going to do is tie you guys to the rocks, using rope and wire." He said, tying each rock to his three students. "Your goal is to escape from it, using anything you see fit." Hotaru smiled, finishing off the tying with Ali. He had tied their hands and legs together, and then tied them to the rock, which weighed probably about as much as each student combined. "But the catch." Hotaru looked at the river, and then his students. He created twelve bunshin.

Four bunshin picked up one rock, and walked towards the river. "I'm throwing you in the water. He said, and each bunshin tossed the rocks into the water, dragging each genin into the water, flinging them around as if they were sock puppets. Each rock hit the bottom of the river, the three genin attatched to them.

Alizarin eyes were locked straight down as she plummeted to the bottom of the river. The plopping sounds let her know that her teammates were now submerged along with her.

She knew that he, Hotaru Raiken, would test them as he saw fit, without mercy.

Ali merely closed her eyes and concentrated. Unnecessary movement would only waste her energy and breath.

Snakes! That was it. Her snakes would be able to bite through the rope with no problem. As if commanded by Alizarin, a green and yellow snake slithered out from under her clothes. The snake looked directly into Ali's eyes and hissed as if by acknowledgment. The snake quickly swam over to the other side of the rock, where Ali's hands and feet were bound. The snake opened it's flexible jaw and dug into the rope. Its single shaped body thrashed back and forth, attempting to tear the rope to shreds. But to no avail. The binding was too tough for the snake's teeth. And being under water only weakened the snake's effort.

She had to think, and fast. Any type of justu wouldn't work with her hands bound... unless

She thought out loud, and as if telepathically, a black and red snake slithered around Ali's neck, close to her ear

Doraibu...
Ali responded, causing the snake to hiss in agreement. The snake swam over, about 8 feet away from Alizarin. The snake hissed as it thrashed its body in a weird motion. Suddenly, various scales erupted from the snake's body heading towards the rope.

Unfortunately, the pressure from the water slowed down the speed of the scales, making them weak and utterly useless as they collided into the rope without results.

Ali could feel her breath running short. She had to do something, and she had to do it quick.

She got it. Her Dappi no Hada...
Disappointment filled her as she continued to think about using the jutsu. The water... while she shedded, the water would rush into the mouth of the skin, literally drowning herself inside her own body.

Pain. Ali now came to realize that she wouldn't escape this without the utmost pain and torture.

Azazel... Doku Debari...
She thought with a low voice. Just the thought of it frightened her. Even the loyal snake's eyes widened as it hissed at Ali. But this was a hiss of disagreement

Don't question me!
She replied forcefully
The snake suddenly lowered its head in defeat.

The snake swam over to Ali's left hand as it was binded to the rock
Hurry! I haven't gotten much air left...

The snake reared its fangs back, and in a flash dug into Ali's skin. Her eyes widened for a second in pain. A small hatch like skin opened in the depths of the snake's mouth. Suddenly a purple ink like liquid shot out with great speed, tainting Alizarin's skin.

She knew that the poison would prove worthless underwater, so she made Azazel bight into her, and then release the poison. Assuring that the water was not a factor.

Ali's eyes widened in pain and torture as the poison started to slowly eat away at her skin. The poison had already seeped into her hand, so the water on the surface of her skin wouldn't prevent the poison from working.

The poison ate and ate and ate away at her hand. The water covered up the tears that would have covered her face.

The mass of Ali's hand started to shrink and shrink as her skin became almost completely gone. Blood started to taint the river as it flowed from her hand. Now the poison had spread to the meat that made up her hand.

The pain was unbearable and intense. Her toes curled up, and her fist tightened. A little more. A little more, and her hand would be skinny enough to slip out. As Ali attempted to free her hand from its confinement, even more pain ran through her body. Almost enough to pass out, if it wasn't for the continuous hiss of Azazel.

Now...
Pulling with all her might, Ali knew that her hand would break free. Slowly but surely, her hand slid through the rope freeing it. She quickly used this hand to free her other, then her feet with both.

Eagerly swimming to the surface, she noticed the outline of her sensei as she approached. Reaching her injured hand up, she clung onto the grass that made up the land of the forest.

Her hand badly torn away. Bone was now completely visible, as it made up 80 percent of her hand. She reached up with her other arm, pulling herself onto the surface of the forest. She lay face down, as blades of grass broke apart from the heaviness of her breath.

But she knew that she couldn't catch her breath at this moment. For her escape was not over. If she wanted to save her hand, she would have to act now.

Slowly and painfully, Alizarin started to shed out of her current skin, producing a new, completely healthy one. Slime and moisture covered her new body as it emerged from the mouth of a now lifeless skin. The slime didn't matter to her, it would dry up soon enough.

Looking down at her left hand, she smiled. It was as good as new.

She sighed as she fell to the ground, face down. She looked over to her sensei, then back down at the river. Her face just above the surface of the water.

Her teammates were still submerged. She closed her eyes, then slowly opened them. They now illuminated yellow, with weird insignia like designs embedded in them. She had activated her Level 2 Koubagen.

She could now see the blood flow of her teammates, as they were under water. She merely watched, and waited for them to escape...

Tsukasa took out the money jammed in his pockets. He proceeded to go up to the ramen bar. He simply placed most of the money on the counter in hopes it would get a decent amount of food. He sat in wait for the food; the aroma, a tempting odor. The food soon came before him. He didn't care to check or rather ask. Tsukasa carried at least five bowls burning him on his bare arms.

"Either we eat here," he told Zenith. "Or we go someplace else. Please, hurry, before I drop these." His pain came through his voice more than it did his face or his red arms actually succeeded in doing.

[Dark Heart 2]

Being inside the village brought upon numerous memories, almost more than he could count. It seemed not much had changed over the years not much at all. During his very quick visits that occurred once during the year, Hakumei merely slipped inside of Kumogakure unnoticed, for the soul purpose of seeing his good friends, nothing else. He would then slip away into the shadow of the night, to be gone away for another year becoming returning once again. His little trips here were so short and secretive, he never really had any time to get a good look around the place, or its surroundings.

It was only now that he realized how things were just as bland as ever... well, excluding some building and structural damage that seemed to effect about every other building or so. Undoubtedly, this was caused by the Akatsuki, more than likely made to send a message to Kumo's people. Unfortunately for them, Hakumei feared very little in this world anymore, even if he were to stare straight into the face of death, he would show no apparent signs of fear. These passed twelve years hardened him; soul, mind, and heart. The fun, care-free Hakumei that so many knew was now replaced by a cold, harsh warrior, one that would stop at nothing to reach his goal.

People were staring oddly at Hakumei as he walked down the village pathway, almost as if he were a traitor, or infidel. Well, it was understandable. Technically, he 'abandoned' his home when he was needed most, when their most dire hour was approaching. Had he stayed, however, he would be nowhere as strong as he currently was now. Had he stayed, he may have already died at the hands of the Akatsuki. At least now, perhaps he stood a chance against them, even with their apocalyptic strength.

Ignoring the glares from the confused and angered villagers, Hakumei continued on his way towards the location he set on mind before even entering through the gate. Night was falling, so he had to make this task quick before Shira retired to her quarters. Before doing anything else within, or outside the village, he had to make amends with the one that was undoubtedly counting on him the most during this indefinite trial, also being called the Fourth Great Ninja War, or something along those lines. Hakumei wasn't exactly into the whole 'formal name' thing, so specifying wasn't too important.

Either way, he was now heading to the place where he could begin to ask his forgiveness (even if he didn't whole-heartedly mean it), and begin anew with the people and shinobi of Kumo. The place where he would begin to cleanse his conscience of his past 'mistake', was none other than the Raikage's Mansion, where the Raikage herself resided. How she would react to Hakumei's return was uncertain, but he would discover that soon enough.

Pushing open the fairly big Mansion doors, Hakumei entered the large building, everything still looking almost, if not exactly the same as he remembered it. This definitely was one of the grandest structures within Kumogakure, not just because of its gorgeous architecture, but because of all the history within these walls. So much had happened in here... so many things...

Not wanting to get too off track, Hakumei brought his thoughts back to the task at hand, continuing his path towards the room where the Raikage should be. On his way through the halls, Hakumei noticed several guards along the way. Some looked as though they were about to stop him when they first caught glimpse of him, however once his appearance finally sunk in with them, they eased up a bit and stood silent, allowing Hakumei to progress forward.

It didn't take long for the Kumo Jonin to reach the room he had been searching for. He stood outside a set of doors, one which undoubtedly was separating him from the woman in charge on the other side. Actually, there was no question about her whereabouts. Hakumei was easily able to sense her chakra beyond this barrier, clarifying any doubts that he may have had.

Taking a deep breath, he placed his arms up and pushed forward, walking into the room with his words already slipping from out of his mouth. "Good evening Shira, it is pleasant to see you after all this time. How is Sanosuke Uchiha, is he doing well?"

Both Sano and Shira turned around as Hakumei pretty much walked into their moment. Sano looked stupid for a moment, trying to remember the man's face.

'Hakumei, that's right...'

"Hakumei, what are you doing here!? I thought you walked out on us, you always leave." She glared at him with her menacing eyes, which were still tinted slightly red from crying previously. "I has been a while, but I guess things could be better... Sano is..."

"Perfectly fine." He said cutting in, whipping off the small tear stair on his shirt. "I didn't even know if you existed anymore... While you were out doing god knows what, I been here. I hope your still not going around picking stupid fights?"

Shira nudged her husband in the stomach, trying to silence him because obvious the jonin was here for something other than getting bickered at by him.

"So, where have you been...? Really been out a lot this last decade." She asked politely.

Not even getting a say in the whole matter Ryuu found himself slowly sinking to the bottom of the river. He sat there looking down at the mud the rock sank into "Damn.. I've never been good at quick thinking in tight situations.." Ryuu thought to himself. Closing his eyes as they began to burn he was lost in thought surely about to give up as his skills weren't really something that could help him here. Well other than the fact his weapons, but his hands were tied up so how the hell would he be able to get to any of them as they were all out of reach. "This.. suck- glug." Ryuu's thought were interrupted as he took in a big gulp of water and beginning to choke. His mind kicked in as he remembered the bladed knuckles found at his wrists held there by string. Surprised that his Sensei didn't take them he began to squirm his hands to get them off his wrists so he could use them. One merely slid off and sank to the mud "shit" he thought praying he would catch the next. He violently shook his hand and hoped the next blade wouldn't just slide off, feeling the blade touch his fingertips he closed his hands to catch the blade. Success. Ryuu began to quickly cut the rope as his breath began to shorten, eventually he had no air to breathe and was going on shear will power. As soon as his hands were free he tried to swim up forgetting about his feet. "Ah!" Ryuu made an underwater yelp taking his bladed knuckle with all his force to the rope freeing himself in one swipe. As soon as he made it above water he threw up the water he swallowed earlier, no help from the pile of dead skin he saw coming up. "WHAT THE HELL, ALI?!" Ryuu yelled in fear from the disgusting sight "That nearly gave me a heart attack!". Ryuu ignored whatever she was going to say as he reached land and slowly faded off into a day dream staring up at the sky, catching his breath.
