Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Prologue "Weyard", a massive earth-like environment with several major continents and many oceans, a vaguely circular plane whose oceans perpetually spill off the edge of the world's entire perimeter into an endless abyss. Weyard is a world governed by Psynergy. All matter on Weyard consists of any combination of four base elements: Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Mercury. These four building blocks of reality can be manipulated by the omnipotent force of Alchemy, which used to reign supreme in the world's ancient past. Alchemy was sealed away in the past, however, and the world in the present age has become seemingly devoid of all magic. Various individuals throughout the world, however, each demonstrate an adeptness to manipulate one of the four elements through a chi-like form of magic called Psynergy. These Adepts, as wielders of Psynergy are called, generally refrain from displaying their talents to outsiders of their various settlements. Golden Sun III The day was sunny, with not a fluffy, white cloud overpassing the blazing sun. In this heat, some rain was all that Piers asked for. But who would listen to him?! ![]() Piers looked at the sky with his yellow eyes, while the wind blew through his light-blue, shoulder long hair. Piers was a Mercury Adept, an individual who could employ Psynergy to magically manipulate powers of water. Piers leaned his back against a tree. "It all began three years ago..." he whispered in a tone only he could hear. " The lighting of the Venus Lighthouse by Saturos and Menardi caused a tidal wave that drove me out of Lemuria on my ship. I headed towards a foreign continent to rest and was suddenly apprehended by soldiers from a town that was recently raided by pirates, and I was falsely accused of being in league with them and held in jail. Felix comes along in search of a ship himself and decided to clear my name in hopes that he could use my ship together. Thankful for the help, I let Felix on my ship and let Felix command our now-sea-faring party as we embarked on a large oceanic venture. Thanks how it all began...!" he thought. He scanned the town. Vale, was destroyed thee years ago, however they had rebuilt the town. How could they leave such a wonderful town destroyed?! And ever since Piers stayed there with Kraden to study more on the condition Gaia Falls is in and to see if Weyward was going back to its Golden Age. At this point, Piers, noticed the big mountain, which unfolded next to his (at least for now) village Vale. On the top of the mountain, hidden within the mountain shrined, was Mt. Aleph. There the elements were guarded. " Such simple rocks, and they hold unlimited power!" he thought and walked down the path. He headed for Kraden's house. (OOC: You can start from here.) |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | As Pharos looked out towards the mighty Mt. Aleph, the blistering sun creating a hazy effect, just like a mirage, he began to slowly trudge towards it. "Perhaps the answers can be found where the problems started." Pharos had been traveling Weyard for almost three years now, searching for answers as to what the new psyenergy had done to him. All that he could conclude was that nobody had ever seen anything like this before. He sat down on a mossy green rock and held his head in his hands. He had been getting headaches like this increasingly for the last few months. "What happened to me in Sol Sanctum? I feel like I'm slowly losing myself... I've never been this obsessed over anything in my life..." Pharos held out his right hand and summoned his strange weapon. Even though he had wielded it for nearly three years, he had not used it much, and it still felt like a foreign object to him, one that was as mysterious as his condition. As he held it up to the light to admire, once more, the finely crafted Ancient Lemurian runes, he saw a glint of reflected light in the distance, near the base of Mt. Aleph. As Pharos peered through the haze, he could make out some buildings, as small as ants from where he was sitting. Pharos banished his weapon, and started jogging towards the little village he had seen. "Someone there must have the answers I seek!" Last edited by Nobody Master; 03/15/08 at 06:44 PM. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | ----------------------------------------------------- A hooded man stood atop of the large mountain he had just climbed only moments ago, to see a huge pile of heavy snow ahead of him. Walking towards the pile, the man raised his hand calling forth the power of a hurricane to move the snow aside. Once the snow had been cleared, the man saw a part of a wall, on it a large ancient door covered with many markings. As he stood before the great door, the man held up his right hand, causing the markings on the door to glow a blinding light, before opening and allowing the man to enter. Walking through the many corridors, the man found another opening to the outside. Upon exiting he noticed that he was much higher up then he was the few minutes before. Continuing to make his way deeper into the ruins, the man finally found what he was looking for. Entering a large room, the man saw what looked like a huge throne on the back wall. Upon sitting on the throne, the entire room illuminated revealing many alcoves in the huge room. Throughout the ruins, everything began to lit up and come alive, as it had been many centuries ago. The hooded man pulled down his hood revealing his face, which now had a slight grin. "I've finally found it!" he said as he began to laugh manically into the air. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | A lone man stood on a steep hill under the shade of a giant oak tree. Rays of the blazing sun crept through its branches and reached longingly toward him. But the light seemed to go right through him, never touching his skin, and he remained forever shaded. Xeron stared at the village of Vale, which rested peacefully at the base of Mount Aleph. Although it had been rebuilt, its history was old, but perhaps not as ancient as the stone giant that stood before. Secrets lied in wait in the mountains rocky depths, secrets that he, Xeron, had to have. Of course, there was no hurry. Patience, calmness, perseverance. Keys to victory. But there were others. Others with similar, if not equal, desires. Opposition was to be anticipated, but it would not be unmanageable. In the end, he would prevail. Xeron sat down at the base of the tree, as he had done three years ago. As he had also done three years ago, he pulled on his hood and dozed off into a dreamless sleep. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Piers was heading towards Kraden's house when he sensed something. Somebody with a lot amount of psynergy was near. He wasn't sure if this person was a villain or an ally. He wasn't sure if it was a boy or a girl. He stopped walking in order to examine the place around him. He was surrounded by many small houses, huge and small trees and muddy paths along with many people. Some people were walking together or they were speaking with each other. Other were walking alone, another portion of them were thinking while they were walking alone. "Everything seems calm!" he muttered in a tone only he could hear. "M-Maybe it was my imagination!" he said to himself. After a final look around him he made sure that after all it was his imagination. "Weird!" he whispered and he started jogging towards Kraden's house. (OOC: Why no one is posting? Did I make something wrong?) |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | --------------------------------------------------- The light tanned man, sat on his new throne as he raised his right hand and began to wave in the air. Suddenly the air began to waver and contort until in the cold dark room there appeared a clear floating window showing the location of a somewhat green country. "So they are there!" the man said as he once again waved, and the images changed again showing him different people. One was of a person, who was jogging to a still unknown location, a few were of people building houses, but one was of great intrigue to the man. This was of a person who was lying on the ground underneath a tree, seemingly asleep. "So one of them have finally emerged!" the man said as he changed the image again to the ruins of a mountain. "Finally, this is it!" said the man with a grin on his face, as he stood himself up, and began to walk out of the room. Before he completely exited the room though, he raised his left hand, summoning a dark portal as he stepped into the darkness. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Kyle walked towards Kraden's house, still sleepy. He held his blade at his side and rubbed his eyes." I don't know why I had to get up so early, but I just couldn't get back to sleep." he said to himself as he yawned. Today was not a good day to wake up early for him. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Illegus got up from the fields and he looked around slowly. he would soon need to go up high into the mountain to train but he didn't feel like it today. he had gotten his pwers three years ago but hadn't done anything with them becuase he was till afraid of everything. he had to train in the mountain becuase he didn't want any of the townspeople to see him. Some day he would run awasy from this place and maybe rule over a town or even a city. But that was far off. He got up from his nap and ran towards the mountain. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | ------------------------------------------- A dark portal opened up at the base of what was once Mt. Aleph. Raising his hands, the man began to scan the energy in the area, almost instantaneously locating the ones we was searching for. "So, it, is, here!" the man said before blowing a large chunk of earth away from the mountain with his power over wind. Once the dust cleared, the man saw he was face to face with a large doorway. The man began to make his way, now inside the mountain shrine, deeper and deeper down it's passageways, until finally finding the entrance way into the secret depths of the shrine. "Almost!" the man said as he began to work on a way to open the entrance. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | As Pharos neared the village, he came across a signpost with 'Vale' pointing to the north. "Vale... I've heard of this village before. It seems to only be recently re-built. That must mean that the villagers have suffered also, perhaps in similar ways to me. I should speak with the mayor, and see if he can point me to someone who would have knowledge of such things. Surely a village this close to the mighty Sol Sanctum must have great Alchemists in its service..." Suddenly Pharos' head began to ache again, but this time there was a new sensation to couple with the pain. I... I... Uggnnnn... All of a sudden the pain vanished as quickly as it had appeared. As Pharos began to walk towards the mayor's house, he quickened his pace, as he had sensed, even if only for a split second, that Weyard was once more soon to be thrown into peril, as if the new powers sleeping in his heart had sensed that the Dark Psyenergy was growing. |

| Twilight Knight | Kraden sighed, adjusting the rock on the table outside his home, and writing on his notepad of what he was observing. So small, yet filled with exuberant amounts of Light Psynergy. Perhaps... He lost himself in his calculations, until he spotted Piers jogging towards his home. ________________________ Kill. Destroy. War is only a game contrived by man to carve out kingdoms, caused by corruption and supposed vile purposes. Kal'zhirrak cackled madly, and gripped his sword-staff tighter with his right hand, and jumped off the cliff face of the mountain that contained Mt. Aleph, using the wind to contain the possible injuries from the fall, creating a massive circular imprint into the earth around his figure. He turned, and eyed the man attempting open the entrance to the shrine, muttering madly to himself, and laughing, sent lightining bolts from his fingers at the entrance, and the earth and obstacles were shattered, and fell down the mountainside. "After you, youngster." Kal'zhirrak said, bowing slightly, and mocking the man whom he worked with in alliance with the man named Alex, and followed the man in. |

| DON'T LOOK AT MY FACE | Felix was sitting by the river. The same river, in fact, that had changed his life so very long ago. That night scarred his soul, and haunted his dreams. Every sensation from that night was so fresh in Felix's mind, he was positive that it had happened only a short while ago. Diverting his mind from the past, Felix noticed something floating in the river. Felix couldn't tell what the object was, it was small. Using his psynergy, Felix reached out and grabbed the item. It was a small stone, nothing out of the ordinary. Except that Felix knew where this stone was from, and all of a sudden he got that same feeling he had gotten that fateful night. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Pharos quitely shut the door of the mayor's house with a contented look upon his face. Turning north and beginning the steep climb further into the village, he began to look forward to this meeting with Kraden, the scholar who the mayor had said resided further up the cliff, near to Sol Sanctum in a cottage with a warrior who had returned with him before the village was re-built. As he crossed a bridge beside a small house he noticed a tall man with long, dark brown hair grabbing what seemed to be a small, purple rock out of the river, using psyenergy. The rock seemed strangely familiar to Pharos, yet he paid it no heed. There were more pressing matters to attend to. Passing over the river, and climbing up yet more stairs, he soon found himself drawing near to a small, quaint cottage, where (according to the mayor) Kraden and this warrior should be. Pharos hesitated for a moment, then rapped the newly-built oak door with his nuckles. Soon his questions would be answered... |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Piers eventually reached Kraden's house. Next to the door of the quaint cottage was a man. "Who is he?" he wondered as he had never seen him. He approached him. "A-Are you looking for Kraden?" he asked. His pale skin turned red. After all he wasn't used speaking to strangers and he didn't like to do so. He studied the newcomer. He had dark blue, long hair and appeared to be in early twenties. However he wasn't sure. Actually Piers was over 100 years old and he appeared to be in early twenties as well. The man was not exceptionally tall, but he exuded an aura of power and wisdom. He wore a traditional Lemurian battlemage light armor. "A-A Lemurian battlemage armor?!" he was suprised. "Maybe he is from Lemuria just like me?" he wondered. |
