Some reminders- The Monster doesn't hit until I say it does. Please, don't have any weird premonitions about it.

Let's do this.

IC:

Good morning New York City... It's 8 am on May 22nd, 2008...

The sunlight swam through the gaps in the curtain like a fish navigating through a maze of seaweed. It seemed to playfully dance through the glass window, sneaking its way through the heavy curtains before alighting upon the bed with ease of a bird. The sunbeam traveled gently up the covers of the bed, slowly slithering its way up the folds of the bed like water moving across a dried riverbed. It slowly made its way up a small arch, slowly moving its way across the small rise in the bed, following the smooth curve up and down until it fell upon an exposed arm.

Its going to be beautiful outside today, with a few clouds in the sky, and highs in the mid 70's...

The sun upon the silken bit of exposed flesh made it glimmer gold, like the arm of a goddess in the comforts of her heavenly chamber. The sunbeam continued onward across the bed, moving up her arm, slowly following its contours to the figure's shoulder, which moved up and down slightly as the figure breathed comfortably in the coolness of the morning. It soon fell upon a head of straight, blond hair, causing it to shine like golden thread spun on a magical spinning wheel. The golden shine continued like a wave to the origin of the beautiful hair and a small, round face came into view. Eyes shut peacefully, lips closed lightly, and with skin that glowed with the radiance of a sleeping angel, she seemed to be content to sleep forever, undisturbable in the light of the new day.

Today in the news, Tagaruto, the major Japanese corporation, will release a press statement concerning the replacement drilling station, after Chuai Station incident...

However, the sunbeam struck her closed eyes like a balled up fist, and slowly, the hand which lay still on the bed, came up to shield her eyes from the bright morning light. She slowly opened her eyes, cracking open her orbs to reveal her brilliant blue eyes underneath. She blinked slightly, allowing some of the sunlight to filter through her spread fingers. A sigh escaped her lips slightly, as her dull red lips opened with a crack.

"David?" she voiced softly, a beautiful chiming voice slipping from her throat as she blinked, slowly beginning to rouse herself from her slumber, "David?" She propped herself up on one elbow, allowing her beautiful blond hair to fall over her shoulders, as she let out a single, loud, yawn. She drew the comforter closer around her bare body, already feeling the emptiness where Clifford David Field had been last night... She could not remember when she had actually fallen asleep, but she did remember collapsing lovingly into his arms, allowing him to hold her as she drifted off into peaceful bliss. He was the only one she'd let have power over her like that... And she made sure it never got to his head... But where was he?

We have Andrea Bocelli singing for us today, and we'll continue one with our later news about the President's actions in Iraq later today...

As she glanced at the depression in the bed that had marked his previous sleeping location, she glanced a folded note placed carefully on the night stand. She reached out a long, slender arm, her spindly fingers taking the note carefully as she unfolded it, smiling as she saw the familiar scratching of David's handwriting...

"Hey Ari,

I have to stay late at work today, so I won't be able to come to see you at work today. I'm sorry, and I'll make up for it. How about dinner tonight? I'll take you to our favorite spot, and we'll split the check (You know I'd pay for it if it wasn't for your threats, haha)

Loving you always,

David (If you call me Clifford one more time, I'm leaving )"

Ari smiled as she put the note next to the radio, letting it continue to play as she slowly sat up in bed. She drew up the covers around her naked body for modesty's sake, and stretched her back slightly, glancing out the window of her apartment as she saw the golden rays of the sun peeking over the Statue of Liberty, framing her crown so that it appeared to be a beautiful halo of an angel... She always loved the way Lady Liberty seemed to greet her in the morning... Now that was an independent woman, standing above all the men walking around her.

And after that we have the interview with the president of TIDO, the environmentalist group accused of having something to do with the Chuai Station incident. All in all, with beautiful weather on the way, it looks like its going to be another beautiful day in New York City...

"Another beautiful day..." repeated Ari slowly, letting a golden smile grace her lips as she allowed the covers to fall, striding slowly over to where her clothes had been thrown last night. The coolness of the morning nipped at her body slightly, and she quickly shimmed into a bathrobe that was hanging by her door,

"Another beautiful day..."

A tangled mass of messy locks and flailing limbs stirred beneath pale yellow sheets, grumbling and attempting to escape this bizarre knotted situation it had found itself in. The escape plan had not worked so well, however, for after a few sudden movements - bang.

Rae hit the floor, groaning as the sudden pain ached through her hip. Grumpily ripping the sheet from herself, rubbing her grey eyes, still dulled from the night's sleep, she reached up to the clanging alarm clock, flipping the switch upon it before slumping against the side of the bedframe. Golden silence followed, much to her relief.

A sigh fell from her, much softer than the fall from the bed. Running her slender fingers in her fawn-coloured, tousled hair, thoughts of the day ahead filled her mind. There was nothing to do today; being so new to this city, there was no-one to talk to, no-one to see, nothing to do. She wasn't even needed at work.

"... then why did I set the alarm?!" she mumbled to herself as the realisation hit her. Eyebrow curving in slight aggravation, Rae pushed herself up from the wooden floor before stretching in a small chink of sunlight, streaming in through the incorrectly closed venetian blinds. If she was awake early, she was going to make the most of the day. She didn't have a clue what to do.

Well, coffee seemed a plan.

Almost staggering into the kitchen, rubbing her now sore hip, she went about making herself a drink.

It didn't take long for the kettle to boil. Pouring the water, adding the coffee, and a drop of milk, she then returned to the bedroom, tipping the blinds to look out upon the streets below. 8am in New York City was rarely sleepy, she observed. People raced the streets. Vehicles lined the roads. It seemed everyone had somewhere to go, someone to see, something to do. Rae sighed, cradling the hot drink in her hands. For such a gigantic city, with millions of people - it sure was a lonely place.

Having not moved into town but a mere 5 months earlier, Luke was still finding it a little hard to figure things out. Just the previous day it took him 2 hours just to get home from several blocks down the way.
"The traffic in this place can be such a bitch sometimes..." he said to himself as he rose out of bed scratching the back of his neck as he stretched. "...and to think, today I've got to go right back out there and do it all over again..growing up is such a drag." he muttered to himself, standing to his feet stretching once more as he moved closer to the window. Gazing out upon the streets below Luke beheld the rise of the sun, it's light shinning brightly threw his window. He thought about the days work that needed to be done: school, projects, an evening with his fiance, the usual I supposed.
Luke scratched his head letting the hair fall in front of his face with each thrust of his hand. "God i really need to do something about this" he said a loud as he continued rubbing his head. He began walking towards the bathroom down the hall and to the right as he turned away from the window, however still a little sleepy he stumbled somewhat to get there. Finally, after reaching the door, Luke turned on the water to his facet as he began brushing his teeth. Having liking it noisy around, he turned up his radio (which is located in the bathroom) as well. He listened to the weather report as he did on a usual basis "Today's to be a sunny day with a maximum 70 degree high with lows in the 60's. There's of course a slight chance of rain at 13%, but overall today going to be a sunny day" Luke heard the forecaster say "Pffttt everytime they say one thing, the exact opposite occurs, but who am I to judge hehe.." he said a loud

He took a shower soon after and began to get dressed, it was 8 after all and he had class at 9. He put on his tattered blue jean pants, which had a strange insignia printed down the side, almost graffiti like, with his black and blue Affliction shirt, shown with a skull and cross bone w/ wings and random splatter assorted every which way. He laced up his black boots which looked obviously worn in, as he topped this onsomble off with his 3 necklaces and 5 rings (1 of which was his father's class ring). He quicly shimmied his hair into the fashion that he always liked it (punkish) as picked up his drawing tablets and pencil, throwing his book bag over his shoulder. He set the alarm behind him as he closed his door, breathing in a deep breath of fresh air as he uttered " Yeah...Today's gonna be a good day...."

8:00 A.M.

*Beep* *Beep*

The stupid alarm clock had been going off for sometime now and John didnt want to get up,"SHUTUP you stupid thing!"So he turned the alarm off and turned on the radio and it talked about May 22,2008,70 degrees,President, etc. Then a retarded song came up and John shot out of bed and quickly turned it off,he got into the shower, then after that put his clothes on,and got some breakfast.John had his own apartment on the top floor so it was pretty quite, unless his friends came over then he got some noise complaints over parties and loud music but John could handle it.Johns parents visited at times but it was on rare occassions.

*Beep* *Beep*

Johns cellphone beeped because he had to get to school and he set it because he had to take a certain route to get to school, which took a lot of time to take.So he grabbed his backbag and was about to go but he then looked out the window and saw the Statue of Liberty but it wasnt close,he had to almost squint to see it and since he was in the top floor there were no buildings blocking it,they were all lower than his.He then walked out the door, locked it,went down the steps, and finally made it outside and said

"Another Day."

OOC:Sorry its short but I couldnt think of anything for the first post.

Mike stared at the ceiling of his room. Just the previous night his parents had gotten into yet another fight. This one lasting just about as much as the others, which usually stretched into the next day. "Those two never shut up." He said, still staring at the ceiling. Mike sat up in bed, his red gingery hair curled and messed up from turning in bed. The sun light of the morning shone threw the blinds of the young adult's room. Thoughts raced through his mind. Why his parents began hating each other, who would get custody of him after the divorce, and what kind of cereal he had left. The covers of the bed were thrown up, and to the side, and two long legs spun around to the side of the bed.

Mike stood up and stretched. "Another day in hell." He said with a small laugh. Mike looked at the clock on his desk. The red numbers read "8:02", and the clock began to beep. "Bout time you went off." He said with a bit of an annoyed tone, seeing as he got little to no sleep last night. Mike, full name Michael Anthony Adams, walked to the door of his room, and walked out.

"Everything seems quiet....maybe they finally stopped." He said, but a bit to early. "Why do you have to get the dog!? I bout the damn thing!" Mike sighed. "Because it's my dog! You may have bought it, but it's still mine!" That was his mom, and the other voice, his dad.

Mike quickly ran past the living room, hoping to avoid the whole ordeal, and headed for the bathroom, where he took a quick shower. Afterwards, he got dressed, in his usual attire, and quickly ran outside.

OCC: Can we use the viral tie-ins that were in the movie?

IC:

Sunlight poured through the blinds of Leah's apartment , slowly weaving strands through her eye lids until she was forced to pop them open. Groaning, she snatched the olive covers of her bed and dragged them over her face. The sunlight was too overbearing for her weak eyes. With a slow attempt to get up Leah finally flipped the covers off and sat up straight, gently leaning against her pillows.

"Same as yesterday."

She didn't expect anything different in her apartment. Things were neat in general, except the clutter in her mind. All her notebooks were flipped open to half written essays, and her text books were opened to half-read pages. At least three cups of Slusho smoothies were laying around, in the pitiful attempt to stay awake. Grinning to herself, she felt the relief of a Thursday. No classes, no work. All was well.

Rolling over to the desk beside her, she picked up her cell phone. " 1:18?" It was already the afternoon. She flopped back into the bed where her body heat of the night had already dissipated. It was cool, refreshing.

Pulling her cell phone up to her face, she made her plan. " I think its about time I go out with the girls."

It was such a peaceful morning for Julian. He could only relax and bathe within the beaming light of the rising sun. It almost seemed to replenish his energy... but that was just the way he felt every morning. Exercise often did that to a person.

He was sitting on top of his apartment building, legs hanging from the roof. He just sat there, only wearing his workout shorts, basking in the glow of the new day. His blue eyes were set upon the distance, as if they were focusing on something in particular. He really wasn't though -- it was merely a habit of his when he was thinking, like most people. He stared off into the distance quite a bit. His mind seemed to fly far from where he actually was, thinking about the past few days and thinking about his plans for today -- there was a party and so many other things to do and get ready for in the meantime.

He slowly let out a breath, a slight fog emanating from his lips like anything off the morning dew. He watched it evaporate into the air before he rose to his feet and started walking back towards the door. He had always come up here to exercise -- ever since he got back from serving his time with the military. It was a way to stay in shape and on his toes. It was true he really didn't have any reason to be "ready" for anything, but he liked the refreshed yet exhausted feeling it left him with every time. He smiled a little to himself as he entered the building and walked down the steps.

He finally came back to his apartment. He entered and looked around at the all-too familiar settings. He had lived in this apartment ever since he came back. It wasn't the best of living quarters, but it was a Hell of a lot better than anything the military provided him with when he served. Then again, he remembered vividly having to sleep in the middle of a dune while waiting for a suspected terrorist convoy come through that never actually came. It was the biggest let down he had found while serving. Funny how he considered not being able to kill or punish a let-down... had they affected his mind that much? Probably not. He just knew that back then, all he wanted to do was make his family proud, and that they told him the best way to do that was by protecting his country.

It wasn't like he couldn't have gone to college or anything, no. He just preferred a more hands-on approach to life. He always was the one waiting for the surprise around the next corner. He got up, each day, eager to begin a new adventure. That hadn't been exactly the adventure though he had expected. Oh well, better to live and learn...

"Loads of stuff to do today. Where to start..."

He pondered the question as he got in the shower, only to soon afterwards get cleaned up and leave his apartment, eager to begin a new day.

Chris grinned as the sunlight spread across his face warming him all the way through. he and his brother matt had only moved into new york city recently so he was still kinda confused when it came to getting around the city. he let out a long yawn then rolled over in his bed to glance at his clock . 8:05 just when I wanted to get up. Chris slid out of his bed and walked over to his window. he looked out at the huge city. car's sped here and there and tons of people walked the streets. Chris then turned around and headed for the bathroom. he took a shower then went into the kitchen to get some breakfast. he opened a cupboard and took out a box of fruitloops. he put the box on the table then opened another cupboard taking out a bowl. he turned to his left reaching into a drawer and took out a spoon. he put the spoon in his bowl then reached over and opened the refrigerator taking out some 2% milk. he placed that too on the table. he then grabbed the box of fruitloops and poured it into his bowl. then with the other hand poured the milk in. when he was finished he put everything back in the refrigerator and sat down to eat his cereal. he turned on the radio to listen to what was happening."the weather today is going to be in the mid 70's with sunshine throughout the day. when Chris finished eating he put his books in his backpack then flipped it over his shoulder onto his back."Matt its time to get up!,we need to go!". when he didn't hear an answer he just rolled his eyes. since they were new in town Matt and Chris didn't really have to many friends but they would manage for now."Hey Matt your not going to get to prove to me that your the lady's man you say you are if your sleeping all day". no answer."hmm he's ether sleeping deeply or ignoring me".probably the latter". Chris couldn't help but smile at his sleeping brother's lazyness. with nothing left to he left the house."ah today's gonna be a great day".

"Mother...Yes I know...God I know...Why-"

Des closed her eyes as she stood at the entrance of her small apartment door. The still door rubbing against her forehead as her mother frantically talked in her ear. It had been a couple of months since she last saw her mother, and weeks since she last talked to her. Life for Des had been hetic, classes, work, trying to attempt at a social life. Ha! Was that something.

"Mother I know..I will be home next week..I promise..Love you bye"

Des put her cell phone in her pocket and opened her door. She sighed and closed her eyes as she went to lock the door. She had so much to do today, classes, work...She was starting to think it was a bad idea to work a the bar while attending school. She was suprised she had made it through a year of working there. But she needed the extra money, no matter how many scholarships were keeping her in school. She was nearly to the old urban Coffee house when she got a text message.

"Now I know what you are going to stay, why didn't I stay last night? I had so much work to do babe, I couldn't be with you. I promise to make it up."

Des grimaced. He always "promised" that word started to put a sour taste in the pit of her stomach. She regreted ever be involved with him. She had to end it with him sooner or later, hopefully soon. She shaked her head and walked across the street to the coffee shop, she needed so much to just feel alive.

The sounds of an alarm clock - radio setting off could be heard in Derick's bedroom as he laid sprawled about his mattress. He laid face first in a pillow of his, lifting up his left hand slowly which signified that he had no strength what-so-ever to even turn off the damn thing. Surprisingly enough, the blonde manage to grab to feel along the surface of the bedside - cabinet, touching the alarm clock - radio and grasped onto it firmly. Then, with one jerk of his hand, Derick yanked the hard enough to pull the plug out of the outlet.

". . ." grumbled Derick as he lifted his head up slowly, shifting his eyes over to the window only to be blinded by the sun's rays that peeked through the blinds. Grumbling once more, he forced himself to lie on his back, rubbing his eyes afterwards. "It's morning already. . ?" he questioned himself, sitting up and swung his feet over to the side and stood up from the bed. He staggered over to the doorway of his bedroom, his eyes closed as he was practically sleep walking while scratching his stomach. But, thanks to his clumsyness and lack of vision, the blonde ended up running head first against the wall. "For Christ sakes!" Derick exclaimed while rubbing his forehead as the impact had fully woken him up, finally walking out of the room and into the hallway. "That's the third time this week. . ."

Making his way into the bathroom, the twenty year old had turned on the faucet, fiddling around with the knobs so that the water was nice and warm, just how he liked it. Picking up his toothbrush and tube of toothpaste, he brushed his teeth and upon finishing, splashed a few handful of water into his face so it would wake him up some more. Walking out of the bathroom and into the living while rubbing a towel against his face, Derick placed the towel on his shoulder as he grabbed the remote and thus turning on the television, which was already set on the news.

"Good morning New York City... It's 8 am on May 22nd, 2008."

"You can say that again." Derick said as he walked over to the dining room/kitchen mixed room to whip himself up with a quick plate of breakfast.

"Its going to be beautiful outside today, with a few clouds in the sky, and highs in the mid 70's."

"At least today's going to be nice." he added, turning on the stove and placing a pan over the fire. Then he stopped, having an epiphany at that very moment.

"I have absolutely nothing to do today. . ."

"Well, there are lots of tourist sites in New York," Rae mumbled to herself, towel-drying her hair after dressing. The shower had been pleasant enough, the gentle touch of the water somewhat rejuvenating - coupled with the soft sunshine, it was particularly nice - and now she was stood in the main room debating over what she should do today.

"No," she shook her head, frowning slightly as the hairdryer was yanked from a nearby dresser. "It looks ridiculous to go sightseeing alone. It's even worse if you live in that city."

Rae barely had to use a hairdryer. After towel-drying, a quick blast of heat from the contraption was enough to remove the excess moisture from her fawn-coloured locks. Now completely dressed, dragging a comb in her hair, she decided to be undecided, and collected a few belongings into a small shoulderbag.

"I guess I'll just decide as I go," she said to herself, attempting to sound optimistic despite the slowly welling boredom, and loneliness within. Fumbling with the keys, letting herself out into the hallway before locking the apartment door behind her, she cast off a sarcastic comment to no-one in particular.

"Some birthday this is gonna be."

After making a quick breakfast which consisted of fried eggs, sunny-side up to be exact, and bacon, Derick took a seat at the dining room table and paid closer attention to the news. He took the fork and poked at the yolk of the egg, finally stabbing it and placing the small piece of the egg into his mouth. After consuming it, the blonde simply let out a sigh and slumped in the chair after realizing that he had no plans in stored for the day ahead of him.

"What to do. . . ?" the twenty year old asked himself, taking in another piece of the egg followed by a strip of bacon, swallowing after a few chews. He looked straight up at the ceiling and placed his hands on the top of his head, brainstorming at that very moment. "Well. . . I could always go to Central Park for a few pictures. Haven't taken any new ones. . . so I might as well capture a few while I'm there." he suggested to himself, sitting up straight and decided to finish his breakfast quickly.

Ah yes, photography. A hobby of the young man, something that could never grow old or even get tired of. It was his life to just find various views or sceneries within New York City and with just one click, capture it and keep it for a lifetime. Now who wouldn't enjoy such a hobby like this?

Standing up from the table and picking up the dirty dish, he placed it in the kitchen sink and headed back towards the bathroom. After about fifteen minutes of so, Derick came out after a warm shower with a towel wrapped around his lower waist as he entered his bedroom again. Searching through his drawers, the blonde took out his usual attire and took only about five minutes to get dressed.

"Now where did I put that thing. . ." Derick began to pace around his room, searching through drawers again and even checked under his bed to find his Canon Powershot S5 IS Digital Camera. "Ah-ha! Found it." he said, taking it out from underneath the mattress and wore the camera around his neck thanks to the strap. Afterwards, he walked out the doorway of his home, locking the door behind him and headed down the staircase then out the apartment.

"And off we go." With that said, Derick began to head towards Central Park which was just a few blocks away from his apartment.

Julian smiled a little bit at the people he passed as he walked down the street. It wasn't crowded yet -- only the usuals, the drunks, and assorted tourists were out this early. This was the best time to be out, in his opinion (or perhaps around eleven at night, that was a nice time, too). He just let his mind wander, finding a peaceful state to be within while he subconsciously kept track of where he was heading, just so he didn't run into a pole or another person while in this kind of "daydream"-like state. His mind wandered to the could-be and would-be of this day.

His eyes actually brought him out of that trance-like form as he passed Central Park. It was a beautiful place -- the only real bit of nature left in Manhattan. He could see the children already out with their parents, flying kites, playing with dogs... quite a cheerful and scenic view. It almost made him wish he had children of his own -- to see that kind of happiness. He knew his time would come soon enough though; he enjoyed being a bachelor at the moment. It was a kind of freedom that left one yearning, yet so fulfilled... but he knew eventually it'd have to come to an end. He could remember that he had just broke up with a young girl named Erica not too long ago -- they had just made it past their two month anniversary. Wait, why was he keeping track of such a little measurement of time like that? It was something that you did in High School, not real life.

He saw the market in the distance. He always came to the market at this time -- they still had fresh produce and he could sometimes get samplings of some of the products and what they might be used for in certain dishes. It was always a fun time and he enjoyed the social interaction with all the different walks of people that made their way there. He started to whistle "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult while making his way to the area. First up on the list was fruit, for daiquiris and and things like that later on at the party.

What a beautiful morning indeed.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

Helinios rolled over and slammed the snooze on his alarm clock. He then threw the satin sheets off of his bed and sat up, scratching his 5 o'clock shadow.

"Good morning New York it is now 9:25 on May Twenty-Second Two Thousand Eight, and it is looking to be a fabulous morning with a little to no chance of rain."

Helinios hopped in the shower, quickly shaved, and got dressed. He quickly ran through his apartment, grabbing his keys and his iPod, and went out to his Lamborghini Reventón and jumped into the matte black sports car as the scissor doors slowly opened.

Des laughed as one of the waiters from the Coffee house walked her out. He was laughing with her, he grabbed her arm and kissed her cheek softy. He knew her, but Des was still getting to know him. A social life was all she asked for, not a thousand guys going at her. She messed with her hair a bit and stared at him.

"Come on...You come in here every day and expect me not to like you Des.."

Des didn't say anything, instead her phone did all the talking, or ringing, to be exact. Des quickly broke her gaze from the waiter and looked at her phone. It was her mother, again!

"I have to get this, I will talk to you later?"

The waiter nodded his head and went back inside the coffee house. Des sighed and answered her Blackberry. All her mother talked about was the wedding. Des's older sister Azura, was getting married and she left their mother to be in charge, and with that responsibilty on Des's mother's shoulder, Des had to help to. Constant calls in the middle of the night about dresses, flowers, her date. No matter how there conversation started it always came down to the fact of "Who are you taking to the wedding" or "Who are you bringing home with you for Azuzie's wedding?" or "Do you honestly think you are showing up here alone! They will break your dear older sisters heart!" Des hated all of them.

Desiree walked into Central Park, her mother still buzzing in her ear about the venue, and how Azuzie was going to hate it but her fiancee loved it. It drove Des insane, she wanted nothing to do with this wedding. She wanted nothing to do with her future brother-in-law. He was a ass and he would always be, and Des was pretty sure Azuzie wouldn't want Des one foot near Texas, when she got married, but Des could never tell her mother that, it would really break her dear old mother's heart. Des sighed and weared a frown on her face as her mother giddy conversation seem to last a whole walk through Central Park and was going for a second lap.
