Kingdom Hearts: The Alternative Paths

Draco sat watching the peaceful scenery, but little did he know that this peaceful scene would soon turn into a nightmare. Draco noticed a shadow and looked up, the sky had gone from a golden colour to pitch black, "What the hell is going on here?" Draco asked looking around. Draco looked behind him to see a black creature of sorts with antennae and claws.

"What on earth are these?" Draco exclaimed as he pulled out his shotgun and pointed it at the creature. "Don't take another step!" Draco yelled at the shadow creature, but it took a step. "I'm warning you!!!" Draco said with his gun still drawn but it came closer still. "You asked for it!" Draco said as he fired off a shot, but the shot went right through it.

"SAY WHAT?!?" Draco said shocked at how the shell passed through it like it was transparent. The one shadow then turned into 5, "Oh god..." Draco said as the creatures leapt at him. But just at the last moment, a bright light shone and destroyed them. "Uhhh, what happened?" Draco wondered as he looked at his hand, "Holy-" Draco said as he saw a blade in his hands.

Then a voice spoke to him "Draco can you hear me?" it said. "Dad?" Draco said knowing the voice, "Yes son, I believe that it is time that you became the next Keyblade master" his father said. "Keyblade? You mean those blades you told me about and how you were once Keyblade master?" Draco asked. "Yes, this is my blade, Absolution, I hope it will serve you well" his father replied. "Well I suppose I'll have to then" Draco said, "But know that when you are ready, I will teach you to wield the ultimate power: Twilight" his father replied.

"I just hope I live long enough to learn it" Draco said, "I'm sure you have the strength to get through this" his father's voice said before it disappeared. Draco's father had disappeared approx a week after Draco found out about his father's past and Draco made it a mission to one day go out and find him. Well let's see what this blade can do then!" Draco said as he readied his blade and slashed one cleanly in two.

"Wow, dad didn't kid when he said these blades were powerful" Draco commented as he readied his blade for battle.

[Azazel]

"Heh..." Azazel said as he watched the "Wielders" finally emerge

Fool The snake on his shoulders hissed, as it lashed out at a Heartless that had foolishly leaped into the air, trying an assault from the sky.

"The cave..."
"You should follow Sylfae to the cave..."
"But..." He interrupted as the boy started to turn towards the cave
"Not quite yet.... I have a feeling that something... bigger will come" He said as he reached for the black hilt on his side.

In a flash, he had dispersed an oncoming Heartless, and sheathed his katana again. In all reality, it looked as if he didn't even unsheath it at all

As Tora sat by the beach he saw the sky darken then dark creatures like the ones in is dream appeared. A weapon suddenly appeared in Tora's hand, it was a keyblade like in his dream "Heartless" Tora said, he jumped to his feet & prepared for an intense battle. Tora charged at the appearing heartless & destroyed them with one swipe "Wow!" Tora said in amazement soon after shadows & neoshadows rose from the ground to attack Tora.

"Oh, nothing."

Rolling her eyes at this, she listened as her friend explained, "Just sitting here, enjoying the sunset and what not. Say. . ." he paused for a moment as he laid his eyes on Tenshi, letting out his hand for her to take. "Care to join me?" he asked, wondering if she would like to sit next to him and watch the sunset. Closing her eyes, she said calmly,

"Hmm, I'm not sure."

Opening those silvery-blue pools, she took his hand and sat down next to him. Staring out at the sunset, she watched the normally blue sky switched to a blood red color. The scenery was even more breath taking then normal. But, it would soon turn to be a living nightmare.

Concerned by the sudden change as it shifted to a midnight black from a rose color, a strong gust swept through the peaceful island, slowly the ocean became a vast sea of ebony with swirls of dark purple. The sun that had been peeking out from behind the clear blue-green water had diminished, vanishing completely leaving only darkness. Storm clouds rolled in with what appeared to be a small tornado (sp?) in the middle. Streaks of lightening flashed through the vortex, not liking it as the wind seemed to howl a dreadful warning.

Tenshi gazed around horrfied as the palms seemed to wail. All this was resulting into a violent storm that would shake the Destiny Islands to its roots.

"What?"

Hopping off of the bent tree and walked closer to the edge of the small patch of land. Staring after him, she jumped from her perch and whispered softly, "Be care --- Derick!" Staring at him as another gust of wind nearly knocked him off of his feet. She crumbled to the earthy turf below, staring at him she was glad when it calmed down. Listening as he questioned what was on her own mind, she scrambled to her feet not wanting him to see her on the ground. Blinking back her own confusion, Tenshi was worried for not only her friends but his safety.

Watching helpless as Derick began to panic, she took a step forward but stopped. "Don't panic....." She murmured, another strong gust blowing she nearly fell. Once it died down again, she realized that the nightmare was coming true. Suddenly everything happened so fast she couldn't get it in order, she felt something behind her, Derick wrapped his arms around her and pulled her out of the way. Gazing over her shoulder in horror to see the creature, Tenshi turned to look at him a brief flash of concern and fear battled in her eyes. No! She thought.

"We have to get out of here!" he told her, as he grabbed her hand and fled. Stumbling at first, the girl tried to regain her balance. Staring at the shake as there was a soft, dull 'thud' noise as they raced down the wooden peir.

Stopping she moved her hand out of Derick's as the person in front of them commented, "Running won't stop them. You cannot back down. You have to confront them...."

Staring at the snake, concern came to her eyes as they exchanged words. She was standing a little ways away from the boys. Glancing around nervously she temporarily forgot about the Heartless, shuffling her feet she stared at the ground for a second. Looking up to see if Derick was done talking or not she listened as he shouted, "Are you nuts? How are we supposed to fight those things back there?!"

Whipping around she nearly got ready to defend herself. But it seemed as if Derick had other plans, growling in soft annoyance. She couldn't believe that he'd be such an idiot to toss himself in front of something that was about to attack and he didn't have a weapon! Sighing in relief as the light dimed, Tenshi gazed at the key-like weapon.

"What?"

Watching one approach from the side she growled, "You don't want to move." Focusing her energy, another bright light flooded the area surrounding the three. After it vainished, she only smirked upon seeing the Keysword. Glaring at the Heartless she breathed softly,

"Fire."

OOC: There we go, I finally got a post up. *looks at Shadows and takes on a mocking Squirrelflight voice* Yes, O great one! *lol* Sorry, I couldn't help it.

Sylfae felt as if her blood was on fire, every nerve was tingling with adrenaline. Whatever her brother had done... she was definitely going to use it.

A shadow appeared a few meters away. Quicker than one could blink, she was behind it and hit it three times before it could do more than twitch once. It disappeared, and Sylfae laughed. This was great! She turned away, and did not notice her weapon absorbing the heart that the shadow released...
A slash here - a stab here. Four more shadows died, their hearts being absorbed by her Antiblade, fueling the dark energy now coursing around her. A neoshadow appeared - but died almost immediately as Sylfae stabbed straight through it, along with two more shadows. Laughing, Sylfae turned away...
And fell down as the ground shook.

Something was coming... something big. She ran towards the center of the shockwave, and met Azazel there halfway.

"Ready Azazel? The power of this new one seems pretty strong. Let's take it down!"

Since the massacre of the NeoShadows, Sleif had returned to his now calm mood, slicing anything that got within a few feet of him clean through.
Sensing the presense of something quite big was going to appear, Sleif made his way, slicing through the heartless as he did, towards where the energy was gathering.

Once at the point, Sleif noticed that Azazel was there as well, along with a girl he had not seen. "It seems she has just been given the power of darkness, quite recently it appears!" Sleif thought as he sensed her energy.
"Be prepared, it comes!" said Sleif as he placed his hand on the hilt of his sword, as the energy began to compress and condense into one being.

As Tora continued destroying heartless he stopped & looked around for some other survivors.

"Why is this happening Tora thought to himself"

He spotted some people but heartless was blocking the way.

[Akans]

A monstrous shadow rose from the ground, shaking the earth around it. The shadows and neoshadows were drawn towards it, and was absorbed as the black.... thing... rose from the ground.
Dark Side stood over the three fighters... and brought down its fist, crushing the piers. The sea around it turned an unearthly purple, and the already-black sky became even darker as storm clouds gathered around the giant's head.
Sylfae leaped backwards, barely dodging the fist. In a flash, she was slashing at it with her weapon, but any damage it took was instantly healed by the numerous shadows.
Turning around, she saw another survivor, Tora, if she remembered correctly, surrounded by the beasts. The situation was becoming worse as the seconds passed.
The giant shadow suddenly released a barrage of dark energy, that floated upwards and split, showering Sylfae, Azazel, and Sleif with dark energy...
Another earthshaking smash, but not from the current Dark Side. It seemed that another one was appearing.....

Sleif watched as the newly formed Darkside launched its fist towards himself and the others, before smashing the earth beneath them.
Leaping out of the way, Sleif looked around to see that Azazel and the one known as Sylfae had also easily dodged the Darksides fist.
Suddenly the Darkside unleashed a barrage of energy into the air before dividing and showering the area.

Sleif sidestepped the falling energy, and simply sliced any that was about to land on him, when he felt another build up of energy.
"So another one is appearing!" Sleif said as he made his way over towards the new gathering energy.
Once there, Sleif noticed that the new Darkside was just rising from the ground as he arrived. With a grin, Sleif jumped onto the Darksides shoulders as it was standing up, and began to slash at the heartless' neck.

Obviously causing it great pain, the Darkside tried to dislodge Sleif from his body by raising its hands to grab him, but to no avail.
Everytime the Darkside reached for Sleif, he would easily move out of its way before slicing at the arm, which always healed itself whenever it came back.
During this time, Sleif could see the other people battling against the first Darkside, as well as the various other heartless.

[Shadows Fall]

Derick just stared over at the Heartless, seeing them about to attack once more as he readied himself for a counter attack. However, they were suddenly cut them all at once, quickly shifting his attention over to the man with the snake. "I. . . see you have speed when it comes to combat. . ." he commented, almost sounding intimidated after seeing what the man was capable of. Obviously, arguing or even trying to disagree with him didn't seem to be an option for him and Tenshi so it was better to just listen to his orders. If they did, then he could possibly save their island from this sudden attack, or at least that's how Derick felt that he could do.

"Something big? What could be bigger than a problem like this?" asked the boy, hearing a loud roar that filled the midnight sky, a large being spawned within the black sea. It stood at least a story or two high, having piercing golden glowing eyes as there was a gaping hole in the shape of a heart in its stomach area. It struck its fist against the ground of the Shoreline, releasing an earthquake as well as energy that multiplied and rained from the sky. "Oh boy. . . that doesn't look good. . ."

Derick jumped into action as he ran towards the pier, sprinting along it and reached the small patch of land that was still intact. "There's no way I'm letting you destroy our island!" shouted the teenager, feeling slightly light headed when he grew closer to the Darkside. Its eyes laid upon where the boy stood, bringing its face closer to him as it simply stared at him. But it quickly jerked back when Sleif attacked. He snapped out of it, now feeling as if he had some kind of connection to the Darkside itself. Why didn't it attack? It puzzled him for the time being, watching Sleif defend against the massively large Heartless.

"Wait, Sleif! Don't hurt it!" Derick suddenly cried out as he couldn't believe himself. "I - I. . ." he stuttered, unable to make up another sentence.

Tora stopped as he saw the heartless being drawn toward a monsterous dark thing. Tora glanced at it while it was forming then Tora shouted out "Darkside I will defeat u again!!!!!" the young child dashed for the gaint heartless but stopped again because another darkside was forming too. "Oh No!! not again not here too" Tora said in horror, Tora saw the others & ran toward them to help defend the island.

Sleif continued to slice at the darksides arms, that tried desperately to reach him on his shoulders. A grin slowly began to appear on his face, as the blood lust for destruction began to reach its peak. Until Sleif heard something, through all the fights.

"Wait, Sleif! Don't hurt it! I - I. . ." Sleif scanned the ground, looking for the source of the talking. It was then that he saw a person on the ground, a few feet in front of the Darkside.
"What is he talking about?" thought Sleif as he still continued to defend against the giant heartless. "This is going nowhere. If I can't destroy it!" said Sleif as he raised his weapon, before slicing at a part of the darksides neck, "I'll just have to immobilize it!".

At that moment the darkside began to collapse towards the ground, falling to its knees and using its hands to keep itself up.
Sleif easily jumped off the shoulders, and began to walk towards the one who had called him. "What do you think you are doing!" said Sleif as he towered over Derick.

The original Darkside had continued attacking, while the second Darkside was occupied with Sleif. The dark energy proved no problem for Sylfae - her weapon easily sliced through it, and with every counter, she felt herself becoming stronger and stronger.
Darkside tried crushing Sylfae again, but she nimbly leaped back onto a nearby tree, and then onto the Darkside's head, where she started to unleash a barrage of attacks.
Appearing in front, she slashed three times, twice sideways and once vertical, and then slipped around behind it, hitting it with a two hit swipe, and ending on top, where she fell towards the ground, cutting downward with her weapon all the way, landing lightly on the ground, and finishing with a backflip for stylish purposes.
Darkside was barely hurt from the attack, and turned around slowly to face her again. Sylfae swore, and she focused her energy for a second, more focused, attack...

[Shadows Fall]

Derick just watch as the Darkside struggled to keep itself standing, its claws landing on top of the small island as they began to shake uncontrollably. He was suddenly approached by Sleif who demanded to know what was his motives of stopping him from taking care of a foul beast. He didn't know how to respond as he kept his eyes on the beast itself, who let out a roar as the boy felt its pain but felt as if he knew why.

"Sleif. . . I can't really go into detail right now. To tell you the truth, I'm not even sure how to explain myself as to why I feel connected to the creature. But, all I ask if for you to let me handle this. . . please." replied Derick as he ran past Sleif and towards the immobilized Heartless. He dismissed his Keyblade, the Messer Ultimatum, and took a few steps towards its direction. The beast simply returned the look but didn't attack the boy at all as it looked as if it struggled to breath. "D - Dad. . .?" he questioned silently to the being, reaching out for it. ". . . It is really you?"

The creature was taken aback, it's eyes glowing at that very moment before grabbing a hold of the boy within its claws. Derick, who just stared back in fear, wanted to know if it really was his father who his mother had said went missing one faithful day. "Mom. . . told me that you disappeared. . ." he added, the Darkside preventing itself from crushing Derick's limbs with one squeeze.

"My son. . . your journey begins here. . ." it spoke mentally, only so that the boy could listen as it stood up weakly, looking up at the vortex in the sky. Then, with one jerk of its arm, it threw the boy towards the vortex's direction as it instantly consumed Derick as soon as he reached it. Afterwards, the Darkside simply turned around and walked, staggered to be exact, off into the black ocean before sinking within it and thus, vanishing. However, the other Darksides that were attacking the island remained.

Tora ran toward & attacked the remaining Darkside. The heartless tried to crush Tora but he ducked & jumped onto the gaint heartless's arm, Tora ran toward its head & started hitting it with his keyblade. The heartless grbbed Tora & flang him to the ground. Tora hit the ground hard,he laid right on the ground for a few seconds before getting up & attacking the heartless again.
