J.K. said one of Harry's classmates, although not Harry himself, will become a teacher. In the interview, she also canceled out Ron. Unless Headmaster is included in "Hogwarts Teacher", Harry will not become Headmaster. Anyway, on the issue of "Who will become the teacher?", my guess would be either Neville, Hermione, or someone minor, like Seamus, Dean, or Parvati.

Well..which of those do you think showed exceptional ability in a specific area that would make them a candidate for a Professor?

I don't remember Seamus, or Dean, or Parvati ever being exceptional at anything really, so I doubt they'd become Professors..And JK wouldn't really bother mentioning it if it was a minor character mentioned in passing, like Colin Creevey's brother or the like..

It would be Hermione...She is the smartest and is one of the oldest kids in hogwarts..

The book is going to be the thickness of the Britannia Encyclopedia..about that size..

The Britannica Encyclopedia 2004 collection is 32,640 pages long across 32 volumes (Around 1,020 pages per volume).

Deathly Hallows is only 784 pages long, which is a little over 100 pages short of Order of the Phoenix's 896 pages.

JK said it would be one of Harry's classmates; someone we would never guess, so it wouldn't be Hermione. And she already said it wasn't Neville.

i just saw the 5th movie about 3 hours ago it was pretty good but harrys got issue's like that chou chang girl she is ugly that luna lovegood girl was kinda cute but harry should be going after hermione screw ron lol

I'm trying to stay clear from any and all Harry Potter websites. On one of the sites though they had conducted a interview with JK right after the 5th book came out and they asked her lots of questions about the final book but of course she didn't tell any vital information about what its going to be about.

Well, firstly this thread is for Harry Potter book discussion, not Movie. Go to the "Movie" section and there is a separate thread for discussion of the 5th movie

Secondly, JK Rowling confirmed in 2003 that Harry and Hermione's relation is, and always will be, entirely platonic

Have you read the 6th book at all?

The only Harry Potter website I'll be visiting is Muggelenet. >_> I have absolutely no desire to be spoiled, and I think that if someone did spoil the entire Deathly Hallows experience for me... I wouldn't be able to tolerate it. T~T

And I agree that Hermione could possibly become a teacher at Hogwarts... I never thought Harry as becoming a professor... I'm hoping that if he survives, he'll possibly become an Auror. :\
