It would make much more sense for the heart of something to be the container of the memories. But we have to keep in mind that MX is searching for the Beings with Hearts of Pure Light. If they are indeed the Princesses of Heart, then the Heart of all worlds must come into play somewhere.

i dont know about memories being INSIDE the heart since in COM vexen said he found a hidden memory on he other side of his heart. Also we dont know much about the soul but i'm pretty sure the soul can fuel memories to act some-what like a heart.

The other side of his heart would still be his heart. They are related and have been implied several times to be part of the heart's contents. Do you have any proof of this? It sounds like a pretty unrealistic conclusion even going by KH rules. A Nobody is the body and soul. That somewhat implies that the soul is inside the body. It shouldn't be able to hold something else.

You may counter by saying 'The heart has it's own contents and is contained in the body so why shouldn't the soul be able to follow this pattern?' Well the heart is different in that it can be removed from a being and not cause death. For the sake of my point, it is also like a body and the contents being partially memories are like the soul. If the contents of a heart are removed it causes the heart to supposedly collapse, and removal of the soul from the body leads to death. Going by that, the soul should not be allowed to contain anything as it is contents itself.

when an unbirth dies instead of turning into black smoke and heart coming out (like heartless) they turn into purple smoke with nothing else coming out.

so why is it purple instead of black? well since pure darkness was surounding the heart creating a heartless, UNbirths are heart infused with darkness. only the difference is that no memory is helping the heart have physical form. so the purple smoke we see with when the unbirth dies is actually the heart itself infused with darkness.

The idea is that Emblem Heartless are Hearts that have been processes and infused with Darkness and Pureblood Heartless are the Darkness found within a Heart or wherever that has literally come to life.

Nomura has already stated what the Unbirths are in an interview. I don't remember all of it exactly, but it was something along the lines of Unbirths being creatures born in the Realm of Darkness and that they are like a counter organism to Sora and co. who are beings of the Realm of Light. But the real question is where they went..

tetsuya nomura said that heartless with emblems and no emblems arent really that different. the only difference is how they are created. they both carry hearts. have you even played kh carefully? whenever you defeated a heartless boss a huge heart would go in the air. and trust me those were defintely emblem heartless.
