Location: A desert planet, completely lifeless and without moisture. Its previous inhabitants were proficient with many technologies, and on this dried-and-scorched-for-a-thousand-years planet, there still remains ruins of their once great empire. What it is that killed them and boiled their oceans is a mystery. Some of the technology on the planet still works, but is usually lacking in power.

Abilities: Canto has advances in many areas that would make him physically stronger then any human. Canto has been recorded at being able to lift at maximum of 20 tons though he has seen being able to lift 25 tons though he could probably lift a little more under duress. Coupled with his unique strength, Canto can run at speeds that will literally leave after images of himself, causing him to be blur as he moves. Having a stamina that can be considered amazing, Canto can keep going at his peak for 2 hours before becoming tired though when allowed to rest, he can recover his stamina much faster then most people. Canto's reflexes are more superior then the world's greatest athlete and his reflexes are so refined that he is able to dodge bullets at point blank range and he can even block bullets.

His durability is one of the best. Canto has been able to survive 10 story drops, powerful sniper shots, explosions, and being struck with a car and keep going. Canto is also said to have near perfect balance making it hard to knock him down. He has an enhanced metabolism, allowing him to heal from injuries much faster then normal. The time it takes to heal from injuries depends on the injury though when his arm was cut off, Canto re grew it in a matter of minutes, but when all his skin was burned off, it took only seconds for his skin to heal. Canto is immune to most diseases, and toxins making it impossible for him to get drunk or get alcohol poisoning. Canto can also control his body temperature at will allowing him to survive inhospitable temperatures.

Canto has shown ability in matter manipulation. He has shown numerous times that he has the ability to manipulate matter and energy on a grand scale. He has shown the ability to transmute the elements, turn water into ice, create multiple toys out of thin air as a child by re-arranging the molecular structure. With such abilities, he can even rearrange his mollecular structure to mimic metals, transmute metals into any other kind of metal he desires though its not just metal that can be rearranged, and even shapeshift.

Canto is a powerful psychic. First of his powers is that Canto is a telekinetic. He can lift up to an uknown number seeing as he never had to try and test his limit. Canto can uproot tress with a simple thought. He can cause a small village to be blown away by sheer telekinetic force if pissed off enough. Along with these abilities, Canto can lift himself into the air allowing him the power of flight. He can create concussive blasts of telekinetic force up to 20 tons. He can cause forces of telekinetics to implode upon people he chooses. To protect himself, Canto can erect powerful telekinetic shields. Another of his abilities is he can stimulate molecules to generate heat using his telekinetic abilities. His flames are blue instead of orange giving it a much hotter temperature. He has complete control over this as he has trained for many years.

Canto is also a telepath. He can read anyone's thoughts unless they have a psionic barrier. In a room full of people, he can decipher which mind he is reading with quite ease. Within his own mind, Canto has created a powerful psychic barrier to keep others out. With his telepathy, Canto can rearrange someone's memories or completely erase their mind permanantly or temporarily and create a fake persona and memories which are temporary or permanent depending on how he feels. He can also alter the perception of others to make them believe he is invisible or alter his pyshical apperance in other's eyes. He can extend this to those around him if needed. Also he can take control of other's minds, giving him near complete control. The last of his powers are Canto can induce mental pain upon brain by just peering upon them. He interferes with the brain, making that person believe he/she is under extreme amounts of pain as long as he wants.

Personality: Crimson is confident, but without being cocky. He never second-guesses herself, and makes it a priority to be informed and to be right. He seems to have a sadistic sense of humor at times. He can be just as manipulative as the next person. He's always cool and calm, making it almost impossible to put pressure on him, in or out of battle. It also seems like he's always one step ahead...


Bio/History: A creature born into this world to only cause destruction. Canto was the youngest son out of two boys. From an early age, Canto could mainpulate matter, creating water guns, toys, and pacifiers. As the years passed, Canto's psionic abilities began to grow, mastering whatever ability came his way. Though Canto was not the only psionic sicne his brother could also use psionics. While Canto could manipulate Matter and Energy, his brother could manipulate elements on a cosmic level. Throughout the years, Canto has casued plenty of destruction and has been given such titles as Crimson Conquerer or the more known Epitome of Destruction. It is said far and wide that facing him would bring upon your death.

From infinite rainbows came infinite blackness as Deus Ex Machina descended from hyperspace and back into the realm of the norm. As his eyes adjusted from the vibrant, brilliant, beautiful, terrifying displays of hyperspace, he began to see stars and nebulas, nearby galaxies, and most resolved of all, a planet. A perfect sphere of desert brown, hovering in the emptiness. It had no moon to accompany it, and there was nothing distinct on its surface, just lots of desert.

All was silent within Deus' hardsuit. The sound of his own breathing was all that accompanied him, and he kept even that quiet. He couldn't hear anything in space, and sometimes he savoured that. Light years further away from Earth than any human had been, and Deus still enjoyed the times he could be totally and utterly alone. It was times like these, when extra assistance was uneeded, that Deus woul switch off the onboard AI construct of his suit, a mirror copy of his own mind, with some unhelpful emotions removed. Their conversations were basically Deus talking to himself, but he didn't mind. He preferred talking to himself than merely thinking to himself. As strange as that might sound, it was probably one of the few things keeping him sane.

As slowed himself down from hyperspace, with palms pointing forwards and blasts of reactionless dirves decellerated him. He was still travelling at several dozen thousand kilometres an hour, but it would give him time to prepare for arrival on the planet. In this time, he switched back on the AI. It's, or his, name was Glauss. Deus had intended to name him after the owl that accompanied Athena, the Ancient Greek Goddess of Wisdom, but found it never in fact had a name, so Deus just named him after the Greek word for 'owl'. The voice began monotonously as usual. "Greetings, Damien. That was unfortunate back in hyperspace, I can't imagine what might happen that would cause me to shut down like that." Glauss said, referring to Deus by his human name. His alias, all but accepted by him as his now-real identity, Deus Ex Machina, was an anagram of his former name, Damien Chaseux.

"Don't worry about it," Deus said, "We're the experts on hyperspace as far as humans go. Despite that, we're still new to it. Each time there's been something wierd happen, but we've found a way around it. Now, are you picking up The Cache's signal?" The Cache was a container, about the size of a large sedan automobile, in which Deus stored weapons, tools, devices and other things prior to his travels. Its shell was virtually impervious, and so he would push it into hyperspace and essentially 'throw' it to where he would later meet it. In this case, he had thrown it to land in orbit of the desert planet they were approaching, which was now about the size of the full moon from Earth.

The actual conversations that took place between Glauss and Deus were nearly instantaneous. Whatever Glauss 'said' was relayed directly into Deus' technologically-enhanced mind, through which he'd hear the message, but being put straight into his head, it happened at lightning speeds. "Yes, the signal's loud and clear. On the opposite side of the planet however. Sonar and such shows tall structures, likely buildings, nearby. Lifesigns are negative," Deus sighed. "That's a shame, when we looked here earlier, the planet was lush and green, like Earth, except about three times the size." The rest of the descent passed in silence.

From the immutable silence came a hissing sound, as the planet filled sixty degrees of his frontal vision. They were entering the edges of the atmosphere, and the magnetosphere was attempting to pluck at his suit. Through automatic procedures that Glauss handled, Deus was placed into a very wide orbit, through which he would practically sleep. He would circle the planet once, and on the second way around, having shed most of his speed, would land with The Cache. A closer inspection of it would allow him to gain a better idea of what had happened to this world.

Before they had left, just over a week ago, the planet was just like Earth. Now, it was like the same planet's Savannah.
