The first Order Ranking Battle(For the 14th position)

Impressive.

Gabriel's compliment rang through his own mind, discipline preventing it to be released into Xander's own on the communication lnk he used to speak without sound. He knew that was the hunter's name from a list the leader of this group had in possession. Xander was the most successful; he was the main being on call for the hunt. The Marshall may have felt more honored if he weren't aware that this Earth would not be capable of handling any of the high manifestations. Most of the Earths under invasion in the past failed against the strongest the Omniverse had to offer.

What brought some renown for Xander was his awareness. His physical form had a cautious edge as if something felt off of the situation. Whether he deduced or was capable of detecting no matter how insignificent, it was enough to bring a small smile on his face. Furthermore, it appeared that he would have done the more intelligent action and waited just inside the door. That would have forced a change in plan. How unexpected that the hunter would make a fatal error so early? He had made the door stay in position: a gaping portal for escape.

Four summons had been called on the field for this battle; the first was known as Krysa. Materialized in the shape of the oceanic squid, Krysa was capable of flight in the pelagic heavens. This ability was only secondary to it's true purpose: the conception of true illusion at it's apex. A normal being would never escape the fantasies of Krysa. Neither would this poor boy entering against an opponent that would not be understood as easily as his other targets.

Krysa's illusions allowed Gabriel to remain unnoticed thus far. It would continue to work as the echoes of his footsteps were suppressed by the delusion until he took position within the building. Slowly, his hand grabbed the door and pushed it forward a few degrees. To Xander's eyes, it would appear unchanging. When the handle could be taken in hand, Gabriel slammed the door shut and sealed it off from escape. At that moment, all would be unleashed outside.

To Xander's left, an explosion materialized just inches from his side. This in itself was no more than illusion, but it would seem real to Xander. Enough time has been made for Krysa to familiarize itself with the target. Alone, it was formidable. Yet it was truly a powerhouse in union with two other summons. Those two had done their work and a small laugh could be heard by him. A voice he had not heard in two years would echo within his eardrums.

A winner needs to be determined, now. Chromatic_Chaos hasn't replied in more than two weeks and KHFanatic4565 has used this inconclusive battle as a method of delaying challenges against his own rank.

Although I am not an official judge of this match, I'm going to cast my vote as a ranked member. KHFanatic, from what I can observe, is the clear winner. His opponent hasn't made a response in several days, despite being present on the forum and making several posts in other threads over the last week. Nor has he made an attempt to explain the absence of a response. I think this has gone on long enough.

I'm hoping that one of the official judges will see this and run with it. I'm more than a little irritated with the way this has progressed.

(Yes, I was going to accept defeat here anyways. I was trying to think up something, but at the moment, a bout of writer's block, and a bit of uncertainty of how to handle the current situation in this battle has hindered me. KHF has my spot in the ranks).
