Level: EXP: | This is a battle for Rainfire, because he was interested in my other one but Lycian had already claimed that position. So, I'll just make another battle with the same character and a new location in Ilradia. Because I have said my piece in my other thread, I'll just start this one off with a template and location; can't be seen as sappy now, can I? =Your Character= --Basics-- Name: Senkei Ilmradieth Nickname: Age: Consistently defined as ‘Ageless’ Gender: Male Race: Personification Pure Race or Mix: Pure Allegiance: Unaligned Occupation (if Applicable): N/A Residence: Cave of the Mirage, Ilradia --Family-- Parents: Senkei is the personification of the Coalescence, Effervescence, and the Denaivescence, and has no parents. Siblings: Could be considered the sibling of all living beings. Married?: Senkei was married once, to Elayireē Children: Senkei could be seen as the father to all living beings. --Appearance Basics-- Height: 6’4” Weight: 189 lbs. Hair Colour: White Eyes: Golden, with flecks of black. Distinguishing Features: Senkei has the tattoo of a crown on his right wrist; it is a light purple in color, and he can make it invisible at will. This is to show that he is the personification of all three Living Essences. --Physical Appearance--: ~ Appearance: Senkei himself has typical regal features; high and well defined cheekbones, a smooth chin and the pointed ears commonly associated with the Elves of Yraen. Senkei’s skin is a glowing tanned color, and there are no blemishes or imperfections upon his body. He is usually clean shaven, with his hair being shaggy but not long overall. His eyes are golden from his experiences with the Elquip Naerro, an adventuring party that has lived on in legend since the beginning of Ilradia. ~ Garments/Armor/Armaments: Senkei appears as he wishes to, but his most common form is described hereafter. Standing at the tall height of 6’4”, Senkei is usually seen wearing a dark yellow robe, with black cuffs at the sleeves. Black diamonds are also sewn into these cuffs, and they can be used as weapons. Beneath this robe Senkei usually wears white cotton pants and shirt, and dark brown boots cover his feet. The only other clothing of note is the Ring of Acyre, which is made from a red and golden ruby, set with a deep blue sapphire. Senkei wields many different weapons, and two of the most common are described in this template. First Damien wields a katana that has been enchanted to give off light whenever Senkei wishes it; the blade of the weapon is three and a half feet in length, and the handle allows Senkei to use one or both hands to wield the sword. The other weapon is a chain that has been enchanted to adjust to any length, and its links are made of adamantite; supposedly they are unbreakable. For protection, Senkei has sewn tiny, flat diamonds on the inside of his clothing, and these can be attached to any clothing that Senkei sees fit as long as the proper method is used to do so. Diamonds are not the strongest type of material in the Omniverse, but they are sufficient protection from many attacks. All of these diamonds are a strong amber color, and they are enchanted so as to heal Senkei once per day, and will be used when the situations are most dire. --Personality— Senkei is regal, honorable, and slightly caustic. He will speak often, and when he does it is often to rhyme, use analogies, or to use sarcasm in a way to belittle others, if he is speaking to a lesser. But to an equal or a superior, Senkei is respectful, and he wouldn’t dream of striking down a good-natured superior. Unfortunately for him he has a strict moral code, which means that he will not steal, lie to those that are his superiors, or kill an equal while they are sleeping or unaware of his presence. As such, Senkei is known to engage in many duels, acting as the Battle Muse. Otherwise he will attack and kill any enemies if he needs to. --Likes/Dislikes-- ~ Likes: -Swordplay -Magick -Cooked meats -Autumn -Fire, Lightning, Heat -Good literature -A good composition of music ~ Dislikes: -Axes, hammers -Technology -Sushi, Fish -Winter -Ice -Plagiarism -Unoriginal or banal compositions --Skills-- Senkei is known for his skill with the sword, and he is often hailed as the greatest swordsman of Ilradia. Aside from his melee skills, Senkei has control over the Coalescence, Effervescence, and the Denaivescence, to a lesser extent. Because of this he can manipulate the world around him, dreams, and even the souls of others. These abilities are limited to the code of conduct above, and Senkei will not use them to outright slay any being unless they have tried to harm him first. Because these abilities are limited by how close Senkei is to his power source, in far off places of the Omniverse he is weaker, and will rely on his melee strength. Fortunately, Senkei is known for his speed and his intelligence; he can move faster than even the most graceful of Elves, and he is a tactical and intellectual genius. --Weaknesses-- As stated before, Senkei is limited by the presence or absence of the Living Essences. He also is not known for his physical strength; while he is stronger than average, he is not nearly the strongest person in Ilradia, let alone the Omniverse. His code of conduct also limits his actions, albeit slightly. ~Biography: --Other Information— Theme Song: Piano Sonata Number 3 in F Minor by Hummel, and Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold [The Setting] This battle will take place in the forest of Yraen, otherwise known as the Forest of the Fey. This forest is comprised of many numbers of plant species, but the grove that we are currently battling in consists of no more than several rose bushes and a circle of eighty-five feet tall elder trees. In the center of this grove is a sapling elder tree, it being no more than five feet tall and five inches around. The rest of the forest is mostly maple, oak, and the odd pine tree, with varieties of plant life growing all about. The time of battle is known as noon on earth; the sun is shining bright above us, but the grove is still primarily shady. There isn't a single cloud in sight, and the Elves have gathered to make war with the Ellumins in the Empyreal Palace; no random arrows will come flying straight at our hearts. And, the winner will be allowed to take a leaf from the sapling elder tree; its powers will be revealed when someone wins. Sound good? |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() Level: EXP: | Even though you already saw the template, reposting it here for reference. Thank you for your generosity, EE. Also... I think you may have this one in the bag. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Geoffrey Luthwin -- otherwise known as Asmodeus Age: 18 Gender: Male Personality: Asmodeus is a determined person. He always tries to examine every part of a problem before trying to solve it -- which sometimes hurts more than it helps. Considering his condition though, his will stays exceptionally strong. He's always a kind young gentleman though. In a sense, he can be too considerate at times -- even to the point of being gullible. He earned his nickname due to his knowledge of mythology, ancient civilizations, and genetics. However kind and gullible he may be at times though, in the end he never lets it stop him from accomplishing what he sets out to do. His ideas of good and evil are also something of a slightly naive, if gray, perspective. He feels that good and evil are merely just weights on either side of a balance, keeping it in line. It is from this perspective that sometimes he acts good, accordingly if the weight needs it, or evil, for the same reason. Appearance: Asmodeus is unique in his appearance. He has naturally snow white hair that comes down to his shoulders. His skin is a soft, fairly pale complexion (due to his condition) but he doesn't sunburn or anything of that sort. His eyes are a deep purple in color (also do to his condition) that some say can even stare into the deepest reaches of your soul. He stands about 5'10 and weighs around 150 lbs. (all lean muscle, seeing as how he can barely gain any weight). He wears a white t-shirt and a button-up silver long-sleeve shirt over it. He wears black pants and a nice casual pair of shoes as well. Over this all, he wears simple white and black robes, and an amulet that is in the shape of an hourglass (though it holds no real power, just meaning and time). Race: Human Biography: Geoffrey was born into the world with traits that instantly made him unnatural. Though his parents were both healthy, he was born with an undiscovered medical condition that affected his immune system and blood cells, which meant that he would always be weak and fragile physically. Even as an infant though, he tried to not let this stop him, attempting to do things any other infant would do, though at some points, he would end up in the hospital because he just wasn't able to do them. His parents were constantly saddened by his state. They loved him more than anything (being their only child after trying to conceive for fifteen years) and would never let anything hurt him. They eventually moved away into a mountainous community so that he wouldn't have to face the daily toxins or dangers that most would face. It was here that he was brought up and home-schooled. They started his schooling at the age of three, being quite above average in intelligence for someone of his age. They had him reading at a tenth-grade level by the age of six. It was also at this age that he started to discover that things were different about him -- not only his physical condition, but something else as well. He had powers. Strange powers. It started one day when he was trying to write an essay on the problems of a Two-Party Political System. He was bored, already essentially knowing the paper was done, and was messing around with his pencil on the table. He sighed and felt his arms tiring, and wished that he could move it with his mind (like he saw in the comic books he read, one of the only outside sources of entertainment that he could get). Suddenly, the pencil started moving. It wasn't long after this that he started experimenting with larger things. All the while he kept everything secret from his parents. He figured that he didn't want to burden them with anything else that might make him different. The years slowly passed, and he grew in solitude in that mountainous community (there were no other children). He also discovered that his abilities were expanded... or expanding -- he couldn't be sure which. He also had magnekinesis in addition to telekinesis -- which meant he could manipulate the magnetic field and properties of things around him. He would spend hours daily training with these abilities, seeing how far his limits could go. At the age of 13, he graduated high-school level in home school, and his parents decided it was time for them to move back to the city, and so they did. He attended a private university, and studied Ancient Civilizations. Being in his constantly pale and weakened state, others at the college nicknamed him Asmodeus. His intelligence grew, and he discovered through ancient texts, that he was not the only one who possessed these abilities -- there were others in the world... he would just eventually have to find him. So when he graduated with his Masters at the age of 17 (he was never out for the summer, just always doing more classes), he decided it was time to go off and see the world. He bid his parents a tearful farewell, and started adventuring near and far, making sure to take care of himself. On his treks, he would meet others with abilities like his own, and made new friends... and even a few enemies. He discovered there was a purpose to him having these abilities -- so that he could keep a balance between good and evil. Eventually he found that his powers were growing immensely. He could travel to other worlds through portals he could create with his mind. However, with this large power came immense stress and strain. It was then that he found his amulet he currently wears -- an hourglass. He uses it whenever he fights, to let him know how much time he has left until he gives out. Currently, he's searching for a cure to his disease... and so far, he has had no luck. Abilities: Telekinesis -- Asmodeus has the ability to move things with his mind, even to a minute level, or something extremely large. Magnekinesis -- He has the ability to manipulate, control, and even create magnetic fields of anything and everything around him. Sliding -- His mental abilities allow him to create portals that allow him to do a number of things, ranging from simple transportation to storing things in "pocket dimensions". Weapon(s): Just his intelligence and whatever he can find. Theme Song: "Dead Skin" by Crossfade Battle Song: "Stroke" by Apocalyptica |

Level: EXP: | Senkei worked his way through the Yraen Forest, walking towards a specific grove. The various animals and plants that he saw on his way to that grove are innumerable and cannot be fully described here, but suffice it to say that they were both wonderful and terrible. More than a few times Senkei was forced to slay something that got too close, or use his magic to clear the path ahead. No more than a few twitches of his finger, but they were still becoming more and more frequent. Stopping by a bush that was covered with rose buds, Senkei touched one of them and watched as it immediately blossomed. Although he had been alive and conscious for millennia, it was still fascinating to Senkei when he saw a plant come into its own. Maybe it was because plants live much longer than the other races but are still ever reborn, with each new sun set and sun rise; Senkei didn’t know why, but he had a feeling that it wasn’t important. Every person has their own specific tastes. For days he traveled through the forest, resting every nine hours or so. In this meditative state he would relive some moments of his past, much like the Elves do. First he saw as the first Elves were born, bringing with them the might of the Effervescence. He then watched as the humans were born centuries later, bringing with them the grace of the Coalescence. And finally he was forced to watch as the Ellumins first took shape, bringing with them the awesome power of the Denaivescence. All of these were a part of Senkei, and he was fascinated by the races in the beginning. Unfortunately, he was also disappointed in them as time wore on. Elves would attack the humans with their mighty spells and melee skills, whereas humans would turn to destroying all of the lands of the Elves in retaliation. Eventually the Desert of Kyrean was found, where the two factions did battle. While most of the races were killed that day, it was the Ellumins that saved lives even as they took them away. When the Elves and humans united against a common enemy, they were so mighty that they were able to use their magic to stop the Ellumins from returning. But this was not to be. Senkei himself partially undid this spell, hoping that it would allow the Elves and humans to live on in harmony. He allowed the Ellumins to become corporeal during the sunset and sunrise, and thus put humans and Elves into danger once again. They were united, and have been ever since-Senkei has ever been behind the scenes, watching for any trouble. Numerous times he has stopped assassins and magi from doing something that would upset this balance. Three times he has died, and each time he forgets exactly who and what he is for a time. This time, Senkei woke and remembered exactly where he was. Walking through the forest at a more brisk pace, he eventually made it through to the Elder Grove, where the trees were all elder, the most magickal of all wood in Ilradia. Touching the bark of one of those beautiful trees, Senkei was forced to admit that they were indeed powerful; the touch even shocked his hand, the one that had given these trees some of their life. Walking past the tree while dragging his hand on it, he made his way to the center of the grove. Here there was a sapling, and he intended to give it power. Sitting down cross-legged with his katana on his knees, Senkei began to prepare the spell that would give the sapling all of the strength of a normal tree. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() Level: EXP: | "Wh-where am I?" It was a confused tone that escaped his lips. It literally almost just did that, really -- escape. He wasn't sure what to say, if to say anything at all. Here he was, blundering through a new world that seemed full of new sights, sounds, and other assorted things that excited and tease his senses. The sky shined a bright paleness that only amplified the same tone of his skin. There was a slight breeze that seemed to lick across his sensitive face, and he closed his eyes for a moment, if only to enjoy this, as if it were some kind of lover's kiss, approving of his actions for some odd reason. He shook his head slowly as he brought up his left hand and ran it through his hair. He let his hand drop as he made his way into a small clearing. This was some new world that his "sliding" had brought him to. Apparently it must have been on the way to finding a cure... or perhaps, this was where he would procure a cure. He was never really sure but that had always been one of his problems. He was always second-guessing himself, nervous about things. He had learned, however, from his last sliding trip before this one that no one could really be trusted... not until you could determine it anyway. He had been shot at by some laser-like weapons that could incinerate anything primarily composed of carbon or other organic matter with one shot. The only thing that saved him was his abilities. Granted, he was slowly getting worse -- and that meant that he only had a short time clock whenever he tapped into his powers. If he ran into someone... or something, on this world that was capable of doing the same or worse, he might not make it. Asmodeus slowly made his way out full into the clearing. He was trying to be quiet, but it was hard when you were unfamiliar with the terrain. He might as well have been driving the loudest car he could find through these damned woods, for all the noise he was making. He stopped though, to catch his breath, and leaned back against a very large tree, feeling an intense shock for a moment, but he just figured that it may have been some temperature difference between his skin and the tree's surface causing a cognitive dissonance. He sighed and breathed in deeply. His breath stopped though -- seeing that there was someone not far off. There was someone sitting next to a saproling, almost in a meditative state from the looks of it. He secretly wondered if he had alerted this person. He didn't know what to say, or even if to say anything at all -- perhaps what was called for here was the immediate activation of his powers. He had no weapon currently to defend himself... but that didn't mean he couldn't use a makeshift weapon of some sort. His eyes scanned the surroundings as he kept the rest of his senses open, in cased this one tried to make a move. |
