... the first training Shadow supposed to take about 5 minutes, or am I doing something wrong? I am doing damage usually every turn, but it's taking about 5% off the Shadow's health bar each time, and I'm attacking its legs. Is it supposed to be this slow? If it is, okay, but if there are any tips anyone is willing to hand out, that would be much appreciated.

Until you get a weapon to equip it will probably take awhile to kill anything. Because of not having a weapon you won't to a lot of damage. The modifiers from weapon pick of your strength by a good bit so its much easier to hurt enemies.

Ah, thank you for clearing that up. I guess I'll just fight through my impatience for now.
